Ann Wilson is a music Icon and a voice that is unmatched in rock. She is one who managed to keep her voice thru the years and to this day still sounds amazing. Her vocal range especially back in the 70s and 80s was/is off the charts and effortless.
@@michaelasay8587 Okay sure, way to be pivot away from the focused discussion on Anne Wilson. This is not meant to be a competition/comparison, but hey you do you.
She was 63 when she sang "Stairways to Heaven", she's now 72 and she sounds exactly the same as she did 10 years ago still, she's a force of nature and beyond. The best female rock and roll singer ever period!
I was in middle school in 1976 and Ann and Nancy's Dad was our Language Arts Teacher. If we got done with the days lesson done early, he popped their album on and play it to the end of class.
Heart was one of the best pure rock bands of the 1970s & 80s. Ann has a voice like no other female rock star of our time. It's full of energy & flawless! You reacted to them so well. Good job once again. "Crazy On you" was Heart's first top hit record before Barracuda
Watching a recent interview with Ann Wilson blew me away. Just her speaking voice is like being taken away to another world. She and Nancy couldn't help but become rock stars!
When Heart was starting out back in the 70s, they were doing bar gigs playing Led Zepplin covers, and only after raising enough money to get better instruments, did they start writing their own tunes, and slowly worked them into their setlists. In their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, they attribute their success to those days playing Led Zepplin covers enabling them to work out their own identity, and that is why they were chosen to play a tribute song. They are crazy talented as proofed by their induction into the Hall of Fame. Do go down their rabbit hole, your life and soul will thank you for having done so. On a side note, there is an AMAZING cover of this song done by a Country singer Gretchen Wilson, she is backed up by Alice and Chains and Nancy Wilson even makes a cameo halfway through the song. It is live and at some kind of MTV Rock Honors show...most certainly worth your time and efforts to look it up and watch it, even if just to experience it for your own well-being.
There was a double bill back in the early 70s, with Heart and Fleetwood Mac at the Inferno in Buffalo, Heart blew them out of the water, and were kicked off playing opening act for them!
One of my favorite bands. Such GREAT concerts!!!! I used to work in the Music Industry and got to spend some time in a studio while Cameron Crowe and Nancy were working on "Almost Famous".
Heart were one of the bands playing at my first concert: Cal Jam 2 in Mar. 1978. I was two plus months short of turning 16 yrs. and I was there more than 24 hours.
Hi Rebeka, great to see you having such a 'blast' watching 70's Heart! As already mentioned you need to check out Crazy on You & Magic Man live from around about the same time 76/77. Ann Wilson, one of the best female vocalists ever. Oh and keep on rockin' beautiful lady!
OMG what a great reaction :-) Anne's voice certainly deepened over the years, which she put to incredible use with Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Centre for the Zeppelin tribute. xx
I was stationed in Fort Lewis, near Seattle in 1976. My buddies talked me into going to this new band playing at a club in Seattle. They said they are sisters and the band’s name is Heart. I thought it would be a sissy band because there were not many rock and roll front women back then. This was before Dreamboat Annie was released in the United States but they played everything off Dreamboat Annie. Needless to say I’ve been a big fan ever since
About 10 years ago my daughter took me to a Heart concert in San Francisco (good daughter) The stage went dark for a few seconds then Nancy Wilson appeared on the far left hand side of the stage under a spotlight and ripped into barracuda. Very cool. The band was fantastic.
You know girl u r rockin still ... Canada here ... saw them yrs ago in Regina,Saskatchewan Canada .. what a voice ... clear omg and Nancy on guitar ... 72 wtg Heart ... theyre Canadians ... been awhile since I saw yur reactions... hi 5 thx
Rebeka, Heart is right in your wheelhouse. You will love them. Check out more of their versatility with Dreamboat Annie and Dog and Butterfly. You look gorgeous with ease. Have a good vibe day.
They just did 3 songs on the Howard Stern show a few months back. Ann is 74 now and still sounds just like this. Hasn't lost one step. Kicker was she was sitting in a chair and STILL able to belt it out. I would highly recommend checking it out.
From what I have seen, this song is one of the most covered songs as well as gotten more reaction videos than probably any song out there. Nice reaction.
Queen are my favourite band too, and Heart toured with them in 1982. I saw them then at Elland Road Leeds. Love Heart. Ann Wilson Is the greatest female rock vocalist ever.
they so wanted Bonham on frums, so much they even had a drummer that had that Bonham sound & style. while he doesnt sound exactly like him, hes closer to him than anybody else at that time. close your eyes & you can hear Bonaham .
I saw these ladies on August 16th 1977. Amazing show in a small arena maybe 2,000 seats I had great ones myself, center balcony with an unobstructed view of the stage. It was also the day Elvis died, they did Zeppelin's "Rock n Roll" as the last song of the night and dedicated to the King. You should also check out "Crazy on You" from this same time period.
I actually saw Heart before they ever released an album at an promotion event for an electronics store in Los Angeles. it was and all-day event with various "bands" performing in the parking lot. My friend and i just happened to come out of the store and saw them perform 2 songs before leaving. Have you done - "Magic Man" studio version - or - "Crazy on You" - yet? - (There is a great Live version of Crazy on You with Nancy's intro on her acoustic guitar. Wind blowing her hair and she does her signature kick to start the song)
"Magic Man" is their best song (IMO,) but they have many more great songs:"Straight On:, "Even It Up", "Tell It Like It Is", "Dog & Butterfly", "Heartless" among others.
always loved heart. They loved led Z. Thats also why they were chosen. You can hear the led Z influence in their songs. They performed a number of Led Z songs. Check them out.
Heart were always massive fans of Led Zeppelin and performed covers of Rock'n'Roll, Stairway To Heaven, Immigrant Song etc at live shows. I think some of Heart's songs are parallels to Zeppelin ones and Barracuda in my mind is their tip of the hat to Zeppelin's Achilles Last Stand. The drummer had drum set ups that reflected John Bonham's and he plays in what I would say is an influenced style to his hero, and mine. Love Heart & Zeppelin
Cool Reaction. Such a classic song. Ann Wilson wrote the lyrics. Lead guitarist & co-founder Roger Fisher, guitarist/vocalist Nancy Wilson and drummer Michael Derosier wrote the music.
I remember when they released Little Queen. Everyone wanted to see them. Ann's sister is a very talented musician and sings great harmonies. I would recommend 'Magic Man".
Rebeka - i accidentally fell on your reaction videos. I so appreciate that you love and appreciate such amazing music from my generation ! Zepplin, Heart, Queen and so many others you pick are right on. These artist had REAL talent. They often wrote their own music as well as performed them flawlessly. - I am also shocked how many younger people as yourself appreciate these “oldies” so much more than was output today. - Notes, words, dynamics all mean something. One or all of theses elements seem to be missing in much of todays sounds. - These older artists that you pick bring your emotions up and down and can control, entertain and properly put on a show. -- my own sons gravitate toward “my music” as you do. I am happy and shocked by this. - I would have so many suggestions for you to try - but I just wanted keep to this point -- you represent so many younger people who appreciate what was accomplished- and you do. It so well and with passion !!! Great job !
WAIT! WHAAT!? there was a heart video played just now?? ok so i just read like 50 comments and nobody took a moment to recognize how tremendously beautiful this lady (Rebeka with a "k" also very cool) is; I have been listening to that track for ..well ? a few years; but this is the first time i have ever watched this video and was surprised to see Ann Wilson (singer) was the SECOND most entertaining and talented lady on the screen..(no cringe intended, just being honest...damn girl..good for you!
I would say perhaps these Heart songs would be worth checking out: Crazy on You Magic Man Straight On Alone These Dreams What About Love Never All I Want to do is Make Love to You Rock and Roll (their cover of the LZ song)

As stated below, this is not live per se, but the band did actually play and sing to make the lip sync more convincing. The result, much like Meatloaf and band doing Paradise by the Dashboard Light, is indeed more convincing, but the audio capture was never meant to release, and having heard it, doesn't warrant it. One of my all time favorite bands. Great reaction, thanks!
What a cool chick YOU are. I really enjoyed your reaction to this song. You are not only really beautiful but you reacted to the song with perfect rhythm. As a musician myself I can see you really felt the song. You have to watch them do Magic man and Crazy on you. (From the same time period.) You will love them. I look forward to watching your reaction to those songs. I just subscribed to your channel. Rock on Rebeka.
If you listen to Nancy's guitar work closely it'll remind you of a song by the band the Wilson sisters idolized growing up called Led Zeppelin "Immigrant song". Ann has one if the best voices in rock. She's still going strong today. Every time i one of your reactions i think this gorgeous young lady has to start getting into the music . Try: Dreamboat Annie Alone
Ann's vocals have always had that punch you never forget. Thx Rebeka . Another reaction you might want to try.....Styx & The Contemporary Youth Orchestra - I Am The Walrus (The Beatles)
Hi Rebeka. My choice for a Heart song for you to react to is "Mistral Wind" from the "Dog and Butterfly" album (1978). It starts slowly and gradually builds to a crescendo. It shows just how versatile a singer Ann is and also has an instrumental passage that Led Zeppelin would have been proud of. Highly recommended.

Just saw Ann Wilson last night open for ZZTOP at the Iowa State fair. Ann still sounds amazing at 72!
Her guitarist aka Uncle Larry is My online guitar teacher.
Ann Wilson is a music Icon and a voice that is unmatched in rock. She is one who managed to keep her voice thru the years and to this day still sounds amazing. Her vocal range especially back in the 70s and 80s was/is off the charts and effortless.
Like Karen Carpenter!
@@michaelasay8587 Okay sure, way to be pivot away from the focused discussion on Anne Wilson. This is not meant to be a competition/comparison, but hey you do you.
I love your reaction - Heart is one of the best rock bands ever and fronted by 2 sisters. Ann and Nancy are amazing.
She was 63 when she sang "Stairways to Heaven", she's now 72 and she sounds exactly the same as she did 10 years ago still, she's a force of nature and beyond. The best female rock and roll singer ever period!
Great reaction. She’s never lost her wonderful voice over all these years.
It’s so awesome to see you genuinely enjoying yourself and rockin’ out!!!
I was in middle school in 1976 and Ann and Nancy's Dad was our Language Arts Teacher. If we got done with the days lesson done early, he popped their album on and play it to the end of class.
YESSSS! Goood reaction., You mentioned wanting more Heart ?
CRAZY on you- FIRE.

It's the studio version dubbed onto live performance footage. But you're right, 70s Heart was fantastic!
Saw a reactor do this very video except it had the live soundtrack. The guitars were amazing. Sorry, can't remember who had it.
"So much better than the actual recording", she said.
It was dubbed because the original live track somehow got screwed up and apparently couldn't be used. It's out there on YT if you search for it.
Hey beautiful! Love your choice of songs on this one. Stay classy.
Watching a recent interview with Ann Wilson blew me away. Just her speaking voice is like being taken away to another world. She and Nancy couldn't help but become rock stars!
For you to say someone else has so much energy is really saying a lot ! Keep on rockin

I saw them from a couple rows back in the 70's. You'da fit right in with those crowds.
Awesome song, great vocals! Heart - Live at KWSU TV Studio (The Second Ending 1976) is a great live show, smaller venue, more intimate.
LOVE YOUR REACTIONS!!! FINALLY SOME BODY THAT GETS IT AND LOVES IT AS MUCH AS I DO!!!!
The riff, the voice, the groove. Damn !
Just Absolutely Love seeing your Reactions Beautiful Young Lady.. 😍
Ann still kills it today at age 72, she recently covered Layne Stayley’s Rooster vocals.

And she also has good taste in music.

Saw Ann in June in Fort Lauderdale, still kicks ass!
Kaboom nice Rebeka 🆒☮️
