@@dragconen The Kalinin Bay took 15 hits, but only one each from 14 or 16in guns, the remaining 13 hits were from just 8in guns. In any case, it depends on where the shell hits. Consider the 8in shell that destroyed much of the Kalinin Bay’s radar and radio equipment, granted it wasn’t an overpen. but much of its damage occurred prior to its detonation so an overpen. wouldn’t have been much better, if not worse, especially if it had been a 14 or 16in shell instead of an 8in one. More than one of the actual overpens. the Kalinin Bay got hit with caused flooding. In WOWS, the sheer number of overpens. a player is capable of getting in a game ought to cause that kind of damage and more. Based on the Kalinin Bay alone we’re talking at least a 2/15 chance of flooding, and at least one of those flood-causing overpenetrations was from an 8in gun, not even a main battery shot. Now consider getting more than 15 hits in overpens. alone in a battle in WOWS, usually A LOT more than 15 overpens. and there should absolutely be a chance of flooding, fire, or something for every overpen. That’s all we’re saying.
This is one of the best WOWs matches I have seen. The Shimakaze captain used the game clock with game-winning precision and did not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory 😁

This is why the AI for Co Op play should be improved. People will play their new higher tier ships in co op mode and think the best course of action is to just charge right in and start shooting to get the most amount of damage in before the game ends. Then they play in a real game, charge in and die immediately as was done by this team's dds. This is unfortunately all to often the case in random games.
"The shikishima's gun are highly acurate" sorry Jingles, but they're not, i own a Shikishima and her dispersion feels at least as bad as pre-acuracy buff GK. Shooting in a shikishima is just as much luck as it is skill
In my experience of playing several games with Trenlass on my team, he is pretty toxic and does a lot of whining unless the team are winning via blowout. He appears less whiny when playing with a super unicum division, probably because he is a little fish in a big pond under those circumstances.
He's a mediocre player really. He's just renowned by association. I've bumped into him a few times with Flambass and Roguemonkey, and you could always see the difference in play and quality.
That Shima captain has watched your videos about trying to win harder Jingles, and they said to themselves "nope nope nope". Well Played to the 3 streamers, but sometimes you just happen to run up against an enemy who is capable and thinking and breathing at the same time.
the reason you are not seeing a lot of big numbers from the Shikashima is simple.. her guns are too big. It has a really bad tendency to overpen pretty much everything, including other battleships. The ship tends to be an all or nothing ship, you either citadel them and rip huge chunks of health off or you overpen and do very little.
I saw this game on Flambass' channel. It was cool seeing it from another perspective. That's when a division's carry capacity reaches runs up against the rest of the team's ability to throw the game early.
Trentlass zooming in and out freaks me out. No ship in sight but still zooms frantically. Why? Hello motion sickness! Spent half of this video just listening to Jingles.
I would love to hear from that enemy CV just what the heck they were thinking! CV players all too often just park someplace and forget that they are mobile.
yet another fine example of a team losing due to ships going behind islands at the edge of the map.. in this case a third of team went back there, not supporting the rest of the team and not taking that cap. The enemy Hindenburg and G Kurfurst held friendly 5 ships at bay for 8 minutes of game play. Yes, the Shimikazi did a great job, so did Hindi the and GK... but I'd say this game was thrown from the start. I watch Mr G, Trenlass and Flambass all the time (you are all awesome), I'm pretty sure they all three have complained about ships going behind those and "being out of game play" for too long. This game seems to me, like a throw by those 5 ships as much as a win by the enemy team.
Trenlas is a real pain to watch with his constant zoom in zoom out. He was even zooming in and zooming out on an invisible ship as if it is going to help him better see the ship.
Not to seem too critical but with the way things played out, all that needed to happen was for Trenlass to NOT go chasing a shima in open water in a slow, ponderous BB without any heals left.
So when are we going to see old Adolf's H-44 (the Grosse Kurfurst's big brother) with 8 x 508 mm guns along with 12 × 15o mm 16 × 105 mm secondaries? Anything anyone else can think of Adolf could think bigger. Compensating for something? Maybe.
Wow! What a heartbreaker. They defeated the enemy they just couldn't defeat the points difference! Amazing turn around. Too bad the enemy shima was smart.
Jingles, no battleship is meant to be played as a brawler - they're all on the 1 and 10 line.... this is WoWs... That was such a lucky shot on the Halland - Shikishima's dispersion would normally lead to it being missed completely! RPF on Mino would have helped - he could probably have herded him into a corner and got him.
Jingles secondaries are garbage? Shikishima has a Akizuki guns, 30mm pen on them, 10 each side so it means it has a Harugumo per side. It’s the armor and turret traverse that makes it bad to make secondary build. Maybe one day we will have some “paper” IJN BB line that is enough tacky to make secondary build with Akizuki type of guns.
Here's the strat: "Okay boys, let's cap 'D'". "What, there isn't a 'D' cap?" "No worries, we got this. Let's send the weight of our force out there." "Great plan! Then when our outnumbered teammates die, we can blame them for the loss!"

Everybody needs to put the Shima on their friend list
We loves a bit of suspence first thing in the mornin.
Thanks Jingles.
Actually Jingles, the Shikishima has pretty good secondaries, they’re the Yugumo’s 100mm guns, which can pen 32mm of armour, so they’re actually pretty decent.
Nope, they pen 30 mm stock, 37 with IFHE.
Akizuki, Kitakaze and Harugumo have the same caliber and the same pen, Yugumo does not: she's got the same 127s of the Shimakaze, Hayate etc.
SPOILERS: Damn, that enemy team tried as hard as they could to relinquish the jaws of victory but unfortunately won, awesome game and commentary as always :)
03:10 Anyone else having motion sickness? I have not see anything this crazy with the camera zoom in and out since the Banana Split TV show from the 70's.
"The shikishima's gun are highly acurate"
sorry Jingles, but they're not, i own a Shikishima and her dispersion feels at least as bad as pre-acuracy buff GK. Shooting in a shikishima is just as much luck as it is skill
And even when you do hit something, you're more likely to get an overpen than anything else.
She's suffered after they removed Dead Eye, for sure, but that's true of all BBs.
They are hit and miss but accurate definitely not. It's just a frustrating experience playing it
Shikishima has better than Yamato with Legendary upgrade accuracy. I have no issue hitting with Shikishima.
@@Neneset I don't believe you, at all
909 - 758 = 250 points behind.... :) jingles.. please never change
I just love this funny trio division.
0:41 So, Trenlass is still reporting CV players simply for playing CVs? Yes, he did that, and apparently hasn't stopped. Kinda lame. =9[.]9=
"Hey diddle diddle, straight through the middle".
I saw this game on Flambass' channel. It was cool seeing it from another perspective. That's when a division's carry capacity reaches runs up against the rest of the team's ability to throw the game early.
The Division is the one that lost the game. They should have supported the DDs at C cap instead of going around the island damage farming.
The enemy team must have been livid with the Shima after they had tried so hard to scrape defeat from the jaws of victory.
Hi there Jingles :)
Let us see what you get wrong today ;)
Shicky secondary's have IJN gunboat pen. They are actually pretty good but I don't typically play it as a secondary meme.
4:30
Eventually a ship will mount one 650mm gun that reloads in 4 seconds.
Yes, they'll call it the HMS Inconceivable.
@@JoeSyxpack
That word…I do not think it means what you think it means.
What is it with carrier and artillery players being unable to breath and think at the same time and not moving?
Feelz so bad watching this match again...... huh........ the pain......
yet another fine example of a team losing due to ships going behind islands at the edge of the map.. in this case a third of team went back there, not supporting the rest of the team and not taking that cap.
I like that you can actually somehow turn the tide in this game, unlike in WoT where 0:4 in the first 5 min. means you're almost always f-ed.
wonder if he will ever start doing thses vids for world of warships legends or war thunder
"her secondarys are garbage"
Jingles being crap as usual :P
Isnt the Shiki the ship with a Harugomu strapped to either side?
@@xel1206 Yes.
your average battleship player staying at >20 km: "what are secondaries?"
Not to mention his incorrect 27 second reload claim
And he said 27 second reload, it’s 22
Trenlas is a real pain to watch with his constant zoom in zoom out. He was even zooming in and zooming out on an invisible ship as if it is going to help him better see the ship.
Not to seem too critical but with the way things played out, all that needed to happen was for Trenlass to NOT go chasing a shima in open water in a slow, ponderous BB without any heals left.
That was a good match to watch
Really happy to see Trenlass featured again on your channel. Great video
So when are we going to see old Adolf's H-44 (the Grosse Kurfurst's big brother) with 8 x 508 mm guns along with 12 × 15o mm 16 × 105 mm secondaries? Anything anyone else can think of Adolf could think bigger. Compensating for something? Maybe.
Does anyone know if the new British premium is gonna cost coal or steel?
So who was the Driver of that Shimi? He deserves a shout-out.
Hey jingles, got any more Montana replays? I'm aching to see my Favorite BB again
Dear god it is 4am here. I guess I’ll wait to sleep
What a nailbiter that was!
Lingering Question, were you compensated for your voice overs??? and flag pack they sold?
I was very impressed with the sportsmanship the trio displayed by complimenting the winning player.
So, when will HMS Powercreep be coming out?
I phased out when jingles compared gneisenau with sikishima
Gneisenau is good for a secondary build....sort of. It's a reasonable cruiser killer and it's hilarious beating destroyers at the torpedo game....
warningpeg18,,,, whats the back story??
Actually the secondaries on shikishima is Harugumo guns so with the ifhe skill those secondaries melt shit like no tomorrow.
Lol I love all these idiots thinking they are going to be Uber winners in their secondary shikis.
Never expected an error by Trenlass this magnitude. Chasing a Shima andddd with a Shiki? I think he tried to get those words togeter as Shiki-Shima :D
Wow! What a heartbreaker. They defeated the enemy they just couldn't defeat the points difference! Amazing turn around. Too bad the enemy shima was smart.
Remember your Man cave video? Can u do an update on that?
Jingles, no battleship is meant to be played as a brawler - they're all on the 1 and 10 line.... this is WoWs... That was such a lucky shot on the Halland - Shikishima's dispersion would normally lead to it being missed completely! RPF on Mino would have helped - he could probably have herded him into a corner and got him.
I suggest this match tell us a lot about the match maker(MM). It would seem the MM does balance games by skill set.
Interesting. You can actually see overpens.
Good job Shima!
I kept thinking "for the love of God take control of the camera".
Here's the strat:
"Okay boys, let's cap 'D'".
"What, there isn't a 'D' cap?"
"No worries, we got this. Let's send the weight of our force out there."
"Great plan! Then when our outnumbered teammates die, we can blame them for the loss!"
Shima was the designated survivor.
Just out of curiosity, how many of the ships that are in the game do you think you've featured in videos like this?
Oh dear lord that camera control is making me dizzy.
YAY!!! ITS FLAMBASS!!!
I was on Flambass’s Twitch livestream when that happened!
greetings from Texas at 3am jingles :)
