In the 90s I would drive alone in the country late at night singing to her music. Rewinding and replaying until I could hit the notes. I've had periods throughout my adult life where it was only her I would listen to. Alanis is another artist I would do the same. Supposed Infatuation Junkie is my all time favorite Alanis album.

This is like watching a rock singer trying to sing opera and shows off just how incredible Sinead’s voice really was vs Alanis - who was very much struggling to hit the high notes - but still a nice tribute for them all to do for her! RIP Sinead!

Maybe a few practice sessions could have helped before you show up in front of a paying audience and attempt something way, way out of your capability. Her tribute could have come in some other form.

Beautiful to see two great performers paying tribute to a woman who exactly as Alanis says was a person with deep empathy and way ahead of her time. Sinéad took a huge brunt for the defenceless children who were abused within the catholic church (not having a go at catholism here, just aiming at those responsilble for letting this happen and trying their best to hide it). I have the deepest of respect for Sinéad O'Connor.

I think she did a great job. Sinead's voice is so unbelievably great...no one could do it justice. She didn't try and go crazy...she stuck to the original song.

Back in the day I was in a pretty weird cover band, and we did all sorts of crazy songs that were nowhere near in the top 40. But we had a great female singer, and we did this song. It was one of the few songs we played every night that I really REALLY liked.
I loved it when Sinead tore up the Popes picture - she was right. I never rejected her righteous ideas or passion for the truth. I was in my twenties then. People were shocked and so angry with her. People like living in their fabrications to keep their comforts and money. It’s understandable but it’s hurtful. Leaders need to have more balls and stand up to tyranny. It’s everywhere and the minorities and vulnerable get the blunt blow of it every single day. In the Spirit of Sinead and other truth tellers, fight the real enemy with consideration, care, compassion and generosity. ✊🏼✌️
