Its just one foot in front of the other & they will think about it later & be grateful that the kid book is easy. A few might say, "ok, Im done!" I was the book study conductor when we did the Revelation book for the last time. About 20 was the group size. Audience was about 4 families. 1 elder a couple of m.s. 2-3 pioneers. A few lifers. 1 child. Trying to get a coherent comment few and far between. The m.s. were lost. The elder was stuck in the 60s. My wife carried the comments. She told me She was embarrassed for me. The modern jw will not care they are studying at children's book. It just means no effort needed. Just fill a seat and zone out. All of the studious jws are dead, old, checked out, or left the org. It's just that simple.
So well said my friend! I just look at their faces, they all look so checked out....zombies. There is zero thought or interesting conversations anymore. I had to conduct it the first time as a MS because the elder/conductor missed so many meetings.....it was up to me. I'd just laugh at that book all the time

Considering the intellectually vacuous conversations I've had with JWs during the past 12 years, I'd say "studying" children's books is completely appropriate for almost all of them. It won't be long before the Governing Body has JW adults using coloring books, doing connect the dots, stacking wood blocks, putting shaped blocks in their appropriate hole, and reading Watchtower literature written in Dr. Suess-style with titles like, "I Can Read Watchtower Literature With My Eyes Closed" "Thidwick The Governing Body Member That Never Apologizes or Gets Embarrassed" "Green Eggs and Shem's Brother Ham" "The Cat In The Kingdom Hall" "Horton Hatches Some New Light" "How The Grinches at Headquarters Stole a Kingdom Hall" "The Lorax Looks at Those Little Enemies of God" "I'm Not Going To Get Up Today, I Already Checked The Box For This Month" Nappy time immediately follows story time.
I can hear the chatter amongst the witnesses trying to make excuses...I mean, well thought out intelligent reasons for why grown men and women will be studying this book as a group. "Maybe it's Jehovah reminding us to be more childlike and humble." Or, "don't worry, just do as they say, it's not supposed to make sense to us anyway." Lol😅
When I was still in the cult, six or so years ago, I asked an elder why the org is 'dumping down' he replied, "It's so they don't have to double up on the literature for the educated world and the Africans" 😮
Which church are preaching the gospel of the kingdom around the world to all nations as Jesus Christ said? Matthew 10:16, 24:14, 28:19-20, Mark 13:10, if not only only only the Jehovah's witnesses.
My wife loves the Bible Stories Book! That's Her go to publication! She has already asked me to get her the download of the new book so she can begin using it. 😮 So between accusing me of no longer being her spiritual head😮, not providing for her spiritually, she relies on me to download all her meetings and material for her to maintain her relationship with Jehovah. Since she is disfellowshipped and dead in their eyes, I'm the one she attacks. The guy that earns all the money, and provides all her house, property, food, medical, you know the guy the GB wants her to divorce! Why do I feel like I have a knife 🔪 beginning to pierce my back?
This "religion" (cult) is messed up. I had 22 years married to a maniac, now very happily married to a normal smart "worldly" woman, and never an argument 😊😊😊
Yes- My Book of Bible "Horrors". I remember it well just like I remember that pink Paradise Lost book. The one with the picture of the earth opening up with children along with their toys and dogs falling into the chasm. I remember how movies such as Star Wars were considered to be bad movies to take children to see and how Saturday morning cartoons were condemned and should be replaced by morning readings from the My Book of Bible Stories.
@@survivingparadisepodcastI’ve been hearing these reports for years. However, I must admit that I grew up reading both the “Paradise” book and the “Bible Stories” book and neither seemed to have that affect on me. I think that even when I was a kid, they were so beyond the pale as to not seem possible. My parents helped us (my siblings and me) to appreciate the difference between fact and fiction. And, even though it wasn’t necessarily their intention, I must have subconsciously been able to apply that to what the Society was saying. Ironically, however, the “Kingdom Interlinear” definitely did have that affect on me decades later-as an adult.

I remember when I was a little boy in the early eighties being out in field service with my parents and watching them have Bible studies with adults out of the yellow Bible Stories book. Right in their homes. And some of the people were older than my parents, who were in their forties then!

Thanks for the unexpected trip down Memory Lane. It’s a bit disconcerting to realize how much of that pap (an appropriate word for what will be used next year in the Congregation Book Study) from the Society stays with us-even years after we’ve left the Society. Of course, another appropriate word for that is “pablum”.
@@simona_abThis is true. Individuals can be young and senile. There are, in fact, cases of people in their twenties and thirties being diagnosed with conditions historically associated with the elderly. Granted, I rather highly doubt that this is the case with the majority of the current members of the Governing Body. More’s the pity because that means that the majority are making these decisions and taking these actions deliberately and with full cognition of the implications for Jehovah’s witnesses.
@@survivingparadisepodcastFrom the standpoint of Jehovah’s witnesses, it makes warped sense. After all, Lett did say: “We’re living in the final part of the ‘last days’-undoubtedly, the final part of the final part of the ‘last days’-shortly before the last day of the ‘last days’.” And, as Sinutko would remind us: “Stay alive til ‘75!”
I was baptized in 1972; and I cannot recall studying a children's book EVER! I tuned back in to your channel after quite a number of weeks and listening to most all of your former broadcasts. My favorite one of yours was related to this theme too: "The dumbing down of Jehovah's Witnesses".! After almost 3 years since I was unscripturally "removed" and 4 appeals for reinstatement; (the most recent one from the Watchtower HQ Service Dept.---am waiting on their reply to over rule the 2 elder bodies' stand.).....I'm seriously beginning to question whether I ever want to represent this apostate, dumbed down organization again! (Just want to see my grandchildren finish growing up!) Every week, when I pull out the Watchtower study; I anxiously wait to see if they're going to study any spiritually deep things; or embark on a series of articles addressing life's most serious questions: "Is there a God who cares?" Was the world, universe and all living creatures created by a wise designer? If so, how can we reason with those who doubt? Can we trust the Bible as coming from the Word of God? Is the bible historically, scientifically, geographically and prophetically ACCURATE? What about the books of Daniel's prophecies? Did they foretell the march of world powers as history documents? What about the Bible's principles? Do they work in this modern day? How about the prophecies of Jesus on the conclusion of the systems of things: Are they being fulfilled along with Paul's prophecies of the last days? What about the study of Revelation that we did 3 times over a 19 year period? When's the last time a JW meeting delved into those prophecies at a meeting? 2008 or so, as I recall! Yes sir, I was the book study conductor ALL 3 TIMES we studied it in 1990ish; 1995-1996; and 2007 or so! But every week now for at least the immediate last 6 or 7 years of my recall; EVERY WATCHTOWER STUDY IS ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING! SIMPLE BASIC TENETS OF CHRISTIANITY THAT MOST RELIGIONS OF CHRISTENDOM GET EVERY WEEK! Good God! Is this the best education these morons of the governing body can come up with??? Since when is feeding elementary school lessons to 12th grade seniors, "food at the proper time"?????? THERE'S NO DEEP SPIRITUAL FOOD THAT REQUIRES US TO "TRAIN OUR PERCEPTIVE POWERS", AND OUR "POWERS OF REASON",..."THINKING ABILITY"!!!! (See Hebrews 5: 14;....Romans 12: 1, 2;... and Proverbs 2: 1-11; particularly verse 11.) And so now your announcement here about the next book to study has just made me sick over what this organization has become! This is NOT THE ORGANIZATION WE GREW UP WITH, is it Stacy??( Or is your name Tracy?.. Sorry, brother, I forgot! 😄) I don't want to be "dumbed down" anymore! How is feeding spiritual "Baby food" going to equip us to survive the end of this system of things??? That's why my personal Bible study centers on the older books published by Watchtower; like "Is this Life all There is?", "True Peace and Security: From What Source",..."Is the Bible Really the Word of God?",...Revelation: It's Grand climax at Hand!",...."Keep Jehovah's Day in Mind,"....."Life: Did it get here by Evolution or Creation?",....."Daniel's Prophecy",....."The Truth that Leads to Eternal Life",..."God's Eternal Purpose now Triumphing for Mankind,".....and several others. This current group of GB members are constantly "simplifying" things; in their words. To me, that just reveals how scripturally ignorant and childish these men have become. As they approach senility, I think they assume everyone else is as stupid and incapable of thinking deeply about anything! Thanks for bringing out this topic, brother! Always appreciate your light hearted look at what most of us ex-JW's view as a serious apostasy in this organization.
I asked my sister why they're not talking about the Mark of the Beast or the foretold "your money will be worthless & you'll throw it in the street" scripture (sorry, I forget what scripture that is). Why aren't they warning about things currently going on in the world that JWs need to prepare for & need to know about? Or what about at LEAST telling them what the PLAN IS once they're instructed to use those GO BAGS!!?? They keep them in the DARK & I believe theres a very calculated reason for that. 😢❤ I hope u get to see your grandkids again. 🫂 Indeed, this org is nothing like what we grew up with!

In September 1952, a record was released featuring a spoken-word piece by Johnny Standley titled “It’s in the Book”. Here, Standley, in the style of a clergyman delivers a sermon in which he gives a commentary on and explanation of “Little Bo-Peep”. After each point, he repeats, as though the congregation is doubting him: “It’s in the book.” Regarding how the sheep came home wagging their tails behind them, Standley says “Did we think they’d wag them in front of them? Of course, they might have come home in reverse. They could have done that, I really don’t know. But, nonetheless, it’s in the book.” In the record, the meeting concludes with the congregational singing of “Grandma’s Lye Soap”. The record is funny inasmuch as it satirizes the trend of religious leaders stupefying their congregations. This is, in effect, what the Society will be doing with Jehovah’s witnesses beginning July 2025 in the Congregation Book Study with the book “Lessons You Can Learn from the Bible”, the successor to “My Book of Bible Stories”. However, even this is merely the latest in a trend by the Society dating from no later than 2009. Throughout its history, the Society’s Song Books were, in the main, directed toward adults in the congregations. The lone exception being “Kingdom Hymns” from 1925, which was explicitly directed toward youthful Bible Students; but, even here, the songs included were also sung by adults. The 2009 Song Book, however, featured drastically “simplified” lyrics to hymns Jehovah’s witnesses had sung for decades and even introduced songs specifically addressed to children-including that stultifying piece of intellectual rotgut titled “Listen, Obey and Be Blessed”. At least, that is how this particular song was initially sold to witnesses. However, during my final few years of involvement with the Society, although I was attending the congregational meetings leads and less regularly, I noticed that song being used on the programs more and more often, and that in conjunction with items directed principally toward adults. Consequently, as disappointing as it should be to find that next summer Jehovah’s witnesses are slated to begin the congregational study of a book directed toward children, yet, at the same time, it should not be surprising. That it should not be a surprise actually makes the development all the more disappointing. After all, the Society is an organization which until relatively recently had prided itself on including at least one word in each “Watchtower” study article which would drive Jehovah’s witnesses to their dictionaries. Now, we, as former witnesses, see that the Society has set upon a process of stupefication of Jehovah’s witnesses. This is the precise opposite of the general interpretation of the Pauline ‘training of one’s perceptive powers to distinguish right and wrong’. (Compare Hebrews 5:12-14,NW 1984 edition) Nonetheless, it is more in line with the actual thought of the verb rendering “trained” in that passage. Even the “Kingdom Interlinear”, in the literal, verbatim English translation, reads “trained (as gymnast)”. (Parentheses theirs.) That’s right, this Koíne Greek verb is where we find the origins of our English expression “mental gymnastics”. Indeed, we realize that, even in such grossly oversimplified publications as the “Bible Stories” book and its successor, the “Lessons” book, the Society resorts to unfounded leaps of logic to reinforce its doctrine upon Jehovah’s witnesses. You read an example of this, Stacey, in Story No. 3 of the “Lessons” book, where the Society repeats its oft-stated claim that ‘Satan, not the snake, spoke to Eve’. Of course, the Bible, which ostensibly was written in such a way as to be understood by “the boy which driveth the plough”, to borrow the language of William Tyndale, clearly states that ‘the serpent spoke to Eve’, with no mention whatsoever of the Devil. Furthermore, in this same lesson, the Society also alluded to its other oft-stated claim regarding this passage of holy writ that the snake (interpreted as the Devil) lied when he said: “You positively will not die. For God knows that in the very day of your eating from it (referring to the Tree of Knowledge) your eyes are bound to be opened and you are bound to be like God, knowing good and bad.” (Genesis 3:4,5,NW 1984 edition) According to the writer of the passage, this is to be taken as a response to the words credited to Jehovah: “But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you may not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.” (Genesis 2:17,NW 1984 edition) The Society has long contended that the snake lied despite the passage clearly stating that Adam and Eve were merely expelled from the Garden of Eden in that day and they ostensibly continued living for another roughly nine hundred years. For the Society’s claim to in any way be valid, one would have to understand the term “day” in the sense as used at Psalm 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8-neither of which had yet been written at the time Genesis 2:17 had been. In short, those who read or heard the reading of the scroll of Genesis before the writing of the Psalms-let alone before the writing of the Second Epistle of Peter-would not have known that the phrase “in the day” was to be taken metaphorically. Certainly, ‘the boy who drove the plough’ would not have understood such. Granted, we, as humans, have long used such figures of speech as “in my day”. Nonetheless, there is always a clear context for such an expression, to wit, “in my lifetime” or “in my generation” (not to be confused, of course, with the Society’s “overlapping” generation). But, there is not so much as the slightest indication of such from the text. Yet, the Society puts Jehovah’s witnesses into such a religious stupor that they end up accepting this ridiculous interpretation. Again, all of this points to the extended process in which the Society has engaged of infantilizing Jehovah’s witnesses. As Rutherford said-although he really should have been looking in the mirror: “Religion is a snare and a racket.” Or, as another controversial figure said: “Religion is the opium of the people.”
Now Mary had a problem, and Mary's not a stupid girl, Mary's got some deep shit, and Mary does not forget. And this is how Mary's garden grows. And this is how Mary has her ghosts.
Oh you haven't heard the Smurf legends? They were demons...and there was quite the JW story about one coming to life in a Kingdom Hall and running up the aisle. It's famous!
, I think it's just in America, because in Europe ,I never heard it. We moved to Canada in 1981 and my Mom refused to believe that stupid story and kept buying Smurfs for my little sister... !
Even so, 1975-and everything the Society infers for that year-will be here in Jehovah’s due time. Or, so the Society would have Jehovah’s witnesses believe.
Well when you’ve got early 20 year old indoctrinated elders, you kinda have to have a publication they are able to “teach” during the mid week spiritual buffet 😂
It could be a ploy to keep long time JWs in. Think about it? Many people became JWs because of fairy tale beliefs such as paradise and living forever. They know people are waking up to some of their recent ridiculous understandings so they want to remind them of that old time paradise feelings.
My thoughts, too. The org already infantilize its members by the way they talk to them, & elementary ? & answer study articles. So why not keep them suspended in a fairytale? But boy oh boy; imagine paying top dollar for a University, they introduce to u “The Care Bears” as intellectual literary! Lol
It comes down to this: the WTBTS holds its literature in higher regard and respect than the Bible itself. "Bible study" among Jehovah's Witnesses does not mean reading the Bible and contemplating its contents. No. "Bible study" to them means reading and discussing WTBTS publications. They are primary, and the Bible is subordinate to them; its words supplement what the publications teach and not the other way around. That has always been the case. The announcement that the 'Lessons' book will now be featured in their program of weekly meetings is just another proof of that.
I think this is when they check to see who's really with them... In 2025 most if not all of them will have their indoctrinated assis sitting up in there reading Green Eggs and Ham🙏🏾❤️
When we graduate from high school we will not go back to HISTORY books and THINK OVER or STUDY AGAIN “every week” about the CHARACTERS we had learnt from those books. However if you become JW you will need to Read, Study, Think, every week about the Characters in the Bible and the publications about them, even will be told to Imitate them😅I deeply regret as former JW was continually studying every week about those Bible characters which actually was just a waste of time😅
Out of date "spiritual food". As a child I would fake eating it. Now it goes straight to the bin so no one can have an indigestion. Also... how long will jehovah keep that menu with the same tasteless foul meals?
I have this book, like new. Bible horror stories. Didn’t realize it until recently how disturbing the images are. I am pretty embarrassed for all my JW friends and family.
It's a shocking book when you look at it with a clean mind.... to think they would go after people for watching R Rated movies, but then rolled out this book to kids???
Hi Stacy, I love listening to you and your fun way of remembering our upbringing in the ORG. I find it fasanating that as you are reading the book, it says that *Eve was by herself when she was approached by the snake.* There are other translations of this biblical story where it reads that Adam was right there with her during that time. I say this because this is one if the reasons women are not to be trusted within the ORG. Because they can be deceived so much easier then men, implying that if her head was there with her, she would not have fallen for this deception. So if he was right there with her like many Bibles claim, why the hell didn't he step in and speak up? I dare say it is because he too was just as deceived as she was. Those are just my thoughts. That's all. 🤗

Hello all!!!
👋
Hello You!
Preparing for the convention video & the children’s book. How did they decide which one was for the adults? Strange.
Great question!
Yum im greek, luv greek food.😊
(Just want to see my grandchildren finish growing up!)
Every week, when I pull out the Watchtower study; I anxiously wait to see if they're going to study any spiritually deep things; or embark on a series of articles addressing life's most serious questions: "Is there a God who cares?" Was the world, universe and all living creatures created by a wise designer?
(See Hebrews 5: 14;....Romans 12: 1, 2;... and Proverbs 2: 1-11; particularly verse 11.)
And so now your announcement here about the next book to study has just made me sick over what this organization has become!

Lol
VERY good point.....they're clearly already attracted to fantasy and child's stories!
Truth! Their literature exists to explain what the creator 'meant' when he wrote the Bible. Let that sink in....
I think this is when they check to see who's really with them... In 2025 most if not all of them will have their indoctrinated assis sitting up in there reading Green Eggs and Ham🙏🏾❤️

Hi Stacy, I love listening to you and your fun way of remembering our upbringing in the ORG.
I find it fasanating that as you are reading the book, it says that *Eve was by herself when she was approached by the snake.*
There are other translations of this biblical story where it reads that Adam was right there with her during that time.

How about September 25 being the birth of CHRIST ; from my studies a better day than December 25 In 2016 September 25 was day 269 and a Sunday as also was December 25 . Sunday(1) , Sunday(1) ; 11 = 1+2+3 ... + 11 = 66 books in the Bible . 269 + 1335 days(Daniel 12:12) = 1604 , the King James Bible was first commissioned .
George Michael and me are separated by 72 days(6x6x6 divided by 3) , from April 14 , 1963 to June 25 , 1963 . He was born in year 63 of the 20th century ; 20th century x year 63 = 1260( time , times , and half a time , Daniel 12:7 ; 3.5 x 360) . 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8 .... + 63 = 2016 ; 63 divided by 2 = 31.5 x 63 = 1984.5 + 31.5 = 2016 . In 1984 Michael Jackson ( on January 27 , 1984 according to the information that I saw ) burned his head while filming a Pepsi commercial . P-E-P-S-I = 65 , the distance from his death , June 25 , to his 51st birthday on August 29 , 2009(20 + 09) .
If 1984.5 is read as June 30th of 1984 , then from January 27 , 1984 to June 30 , 1984 there are 155 days(Ezekiel 4:6) ; 155 + 1852(birth of Charles Taze Russell) = 2007 , year that my father died on August 19 at the age of 78 years and 8 days(Genesis 17:12) . On October 21 of 2018 , Sunday , I saw for the first time the number 78 in the number 666 ( 6x6x6 + 18 divided by 3 ; Revelation 13:18 , 13x18 divided by 3 ) . On August 11 , 2024 , Sunday , the 95th anniversary of the birth of my father , saw for the first time( I wrote it down on a 2024 calendar in order to remember the exact fact ; I can not trust my powers of memory ) that Benjamin Netanyahu was born on October 21 , 1949 .That was the first of five straight world series championships by the N.Y. Yankees ; 5 + 2018 = 2023 (October 7 , 2023 , Promise Land) .
8 days , Genesis 17:12 ; 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8 = 36 ; 1+2+3+4+5+6+7=8 ... +36 = 666 . Argentina , the country with a place named End of the World , won the last FIFA World Cup of football(soccer) in 2022 . It was its third world cup championship ; the first was in 1978 , the second was in 1986 , and the third in 2022 . From 1978 to 1986 , 8 years ; from 1986 to 2022 , 36 years .
could this Infantilization trend lead to diaper dispensers in the KH bathrooms? it depends.
1. we are in the last day of the last days of the last days of the last days of the last days of the last days .....goto(1)
.....for a long time now :)
Overall, I am concerned about religiosity. the movement in America by Christian nationalist has an agenda with project 2025. Some want only Christians to be able to hold office in Congress. A theocracy as a government.
Same. Very concerned 😟
First 👑💅🏻🍻
are they going to burp the baby?
LMAO
No doubt this new version of “My Book of Bible Studies” will be slightly tweaked when rewritten. They are trying VERY hard to rewrite their history! If you go back to the basics (most JW’s haven’t cracked open this book in 30 years) you can gaslight to your hearts delight. Same rotting food, just made into a “new”recipe that may look and smell a bit more appetizing 🙄💩
They've updated the illustrations and made them less violent....some are completely removed from the original book
Babies need milk!!!!!
....agree!!
