Yes you should! If you need to keep it lightweight, I recommend the Skeletool CX. If you want all purpose ( and not TOO heavy) go with the Wave. The Squirt PS4 is great for keychains. Thanks for the comment.

Nice pick up my man. I just picked up the REI Topo edition Freestyle last weekend. I live about 30 mins from one of their locations which is a curse and a gift lol. Great review
Purchased a pre-owned REI Skeletool on eBay and removed the Topo map blade, the black oxide pliers head and the two black pivot screws and installed them on my Sckeletool CX. Now my CX looks much better plus the combination of the Topo map blade with the carbon fiber piece makes it one of a kind.
They are completely different styles of tools. It really depends on your needs and the manner in which you want to carry your multi tool. The smaller Skeletool weighs much less and is more for an “in pocket” carry. The Rebar is going to be a much larger tool for bigger jobs and will need to be carried on a belt sheath.
Jeffrey Mac Full disclosure. I do not carry this multi tool every day. That being said, I always carry one of my Leatherman’s with me and this is probably my second most used and carried Leatherman. Paint/coating is holding up great so far. 👍🏼
This is kind of off topic, but I don't like when companies hypocrites. REI cut ties with a company that sells guns but they work with another company that makes a tool sold to civilians (the MUT) specifically designed as an armorer's tool for AR-15s.
Cameron Oliver Ya that does suck. I'm just now listening to the new RUclips Policies and there is a massive attack on guns EVERYWHERE. I have been good at boycotting places that do that stuff. This could have been my last REI purchase if I confirm it's true. Didn't know. Thanks

My finish is still decent but it is not an EDC for me. I rotate through a handful of Multi-tools.

Topo looks cool but CX has the better blade, so that would be my choice.

If you purchase one of these REI editions and break the blade, wonder if Leathermans warranty would repair it with the same special design blade???

As much as those Skeletools run, I would spend the extra little money and get the CX version for the 154cm blade. That's just my opinion.
