Lookin' good, Chief! Here in Wisconsin, we have (apparently) hungry deer along with a few bobcats and black bears. Nobody generally gets hurt (the furry ones can be real pussy cats when you appear and make noise) but they all love to decimate gardens. I have just short of 6' fences around my garden - trees, berry bushes, and veggies - and that doesn't guarantee anything! Great hearing your story about your side work as you and your wife gained rank. Sets a baseline that continues but built the result you have today. Gotta go get my boat in the water. Later!
Hi,chief, Gaz from England, don't know if u were ever stationed here but that small garden u just made is bigger than most in here😊,your place looks great,i don't know how old u are ,but hopefully old enough not to be called back to service when it hits the fan
My wife never understands the foundation. I try to be perfect and she just says go with it. It annoys my ADHD. LOL. As far as the GoPro the quality has gone down. I try to record in HD and the camera gets so hot it's not funny. I have also learned only to use GoPro batteries. Great work.
Still lots of work to go but a real good start, looking really nice! I really need to get some of the same equipment for my shop. Hopefully we will be installing the ceiling next week, I've been running water and more air lines also got 4 out of the six mini splits hung. Take care and don't work too hard!
Pay attention to the blocks. They have the piece sticking down in back to set the reveal of each row as well as help them lock together front to back. As well the blocks are faced so there is a front and back to the blocks. In other words he stacked them correctly.
Stand up to the saying, “Any job worth doing is worth doing right!”. Looks great!! Like you said, you wanted it in the line of view so you would take care of it. You will also go to it more often because it’s a nice place to be! Gardening with deer can be so annoying. Our 2 acre parcel near the city has a 6 ft black chain link fence all the way around the perimeter. It looks good because it blends in so well. The front gates are power operated from a garage style remote and on our smart phones. They fit well enough to keep our 15 lb dog inside and have a flexible bottom to deal with snow when we get it. There’s 3 cameras so we can see who’s there. One is built into the mortar post for the gate and you would have to look really hard to see it. There’s also a shelter the delivery guys can drop the parcels in that stays dry. They like it because I put a paved turn around for that location. They pull in, back into the paved space and drive away. That’s IF they know how to do a 3 point turn! 😂😂😂. The fence isn’t an option for you! Your property is much bigger! We have a fence meandering through the forest at our cabin and it’s the same. It blends in really well so you don’t feel like it’s YOU in a cage! Ya kinda are, but there it’s to keep predators out more so. There are 3 hot wires on that fence. My wife is terrified of bears. They are unlikely to climb over because they will have to beat the 3 foot level wire, then 2 spaced about 12” apart along the top of the fence. It becomes a 7.5 ft fence. I have seen & heard bears trying as we have a few fruit trees. It’s funny as they learn. Some on the first zap, others like the one big grizzly we have spring & fall, try it again & again. He got in once when I left the gate open assuming he was denned up. He was still looking & liked the spot under the deck out there! Having coffee on that deck one morning and could hear the growling! Makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck!! 😂😂. I got him out though. It was inevitable nerve wracking morning and he tried to eat my side x side, but I won! 😮😊 Nice you don’t have bears there! At least not in your acreages area. I love stone work & as hard as they are to work with in this case, they just look a little more rustic , eh? 😊 nice idea. It is looking great!

what, no fiberglass or gel coat ?...lol...good work keep safe and have a great week...Bob
lol, I know right! Have a great week Bob!
Your suppose to put one forward and the other backwards and seams will match looking like complete solid wall and only gaps are in turns.

The way you stacked them on pallet was the way you shoulda built wall. Inter locking
No Sir, the backs have a lip, I put them in correctly. I have done a lot of these walls, but I understand what you’re thinking.
What CAMs are you using now? Still on the GoPro or did you move to 360?
Both.. but looking at others for the next go round… won’t be GoPro
Nice work on the garden, what type of things are you going to plant?
Thanks,
Tim
Tomatoes for me the rest is up to her!
Chief, you have done a great on the garden, keep up the good work.
Thanks buddy!
