    I've always said to my friends, when you look at Rains POV: his mechanics, crosshair placement, spray control, peeking, movement. All of it looks world class. So smooth, so controlled. And we saw glimpses of brilliance from Rain all throughout 2021/2022. I'm not surprised he was able to slay this much, more surprised that he was going to outfrag twistz and broky honestly.

    I think Rain is such a veteran of this sport, he actually NEEDS the pressure of the stage to shine. I don't completely understand the psychology of it but I remember we were calling for Faze to bench him in the online era, but this time he is powered by the pressure of a major title, Lan, and a stage to play on in front of a crowd. He puts on a career best! The Tec-9 4v3 round on T side was so incredible I was screaming at my computer, he won the whole round with his heaven wrap, timing, and presence, completely impossible to predict, a perfect T side walk up

    • @avienated
      @avienated 2 года назад +14

      @@dubbinofyoutube lol relax dude, you're coming off like that "moron" in the original comment was a personal attack to you :p
      It's not a big deal, you don't need Radiant to validate your or anyone else's previous reasoning, and he's not going to... He also has the advantage of hindsight, and it's obviously a little unfair for him to throw around things like "moron", but whatever reasons anyone had for thinking rain should've been kicked were obviously wrong, even if the logic seemed solid.
      On that note though, I also questioned if rain should be kicked a few times but I have to say the performances weren't as bad as you're making it sound.... we can talk stats if you want... I'm pretty impartial because, like I said, I questioned if rain should stay on the roster a few times but it wasn't so dramatic like, I wouldn't say he was dogshit until this major. He was pretty solid in his role overall in spite of some drops in form. In the online era he was a lot worse but that's not what we're talking about right? You said "this past year"...
      My point is, it wasn't some obvious fact that rain should be kicked until "this performance" that was "so unexpected" out of him. I think the way you're presenting, or at least the way that it's coming off, is way too black & white, and I don't think there's anything that warrants it.
      Raidant isn't playing fair with the hindsight "moron"ing, but the point of his comment is to celebrate something positive, so let's not get dragged down by it :p but if you wanna get into the details of some of rains stats, or your own analysis/eye-test or whatever it is that shaped your perspective, I'm all ears, and maybe Radiant would come around to understanding you better that way as well :)

    when you put rain in positions to shine, he most likely will. From my point of view, the reason for his poor/okay stats the last few years, is not because hes gotten worse, but more because he is willing to give away the positions and roles hes most comfortable in (which is also one of the reasons everyone thinks of him as a good teammate). With this line up, i think all of the players are willing to find solutions which makes every player happy, and everyone has faith in karrigan, which again results in good preformances from everyone. this time is was Rain (most fitting at the major), earlier this years it was rops and broky and the before the end of this year, mark my words, twistzz will get his mvp as well!

      had more to do with laziness, uninspired gameplay and lack of pressure in his positions as well as his worst stats in 3 years. he was definitely not “always” a beast haha

      Especially in of period from online era to returning to lan, he struggled with his performance but in his first domaint era (2017-2018) he had a great performance and great impact on a team even though the team didn't manage to win a lot of a tournaments (especially major where they struggled the most)

    You have no idea how bad Faze was on Nuke just in the last year. Karrigan is a god and he pushed his team and now they are the best in the world on Nuke. You can really see their progress from their matches on Nuke, which Navi keep picking it if they meet last year, because Faze sucked at it and Navi is the best at the map at that time. Cheers!

  • @FlurryMainchin
    @FlurryMainchin 2 года назад

    Seemed like most of his deaths were to electronic, which is fitting.
    Edit: vs Electronic - 8 deaths, 5 kills
    vs B1t - 4 deaths, 2 kills
    Perfecto - 2 deaths, 5 kills
    s1mple - 1 death, 8 kills
    boombl4 - 0 death, 10 kills
    more than half his kills were against boom and S1mple, and yeah Electronic had twice as many kills against him than the next most in B1t.
