- Everyone knows the story of the T-34 and T-34-85. But during the final stages of WW2 a lesser known project was underway. This project would lead to one of the only failed variants of the T-34.

Hope you all enjoy the video, I made quite a few changes in this episode so please let know what you think. Any and all criticism is appreciated so I can make this series as good as possible. And if you did enjoy please leave a like and consider subscribing for more.
Btw I got the FCM 36 as a gift tank lol
This intro is so cool
Perhaps the Yugoslav and Bulgarian cousins of this T-34 Modernisation. Those being the Vehicle A (Vozilo A) and the T-34-115 respectedly.
Video on the sherman with 122mm next? That’s quite a strange machine...
Damn the intro is legendary!!
Cursed by design is better than the entirety of History channel, change my mind
Tv or you tube or anything else?
..... because ..... aliens!
TBH even when history channel was the history channel it was garbage.
No
Me waiting for the History Channel to make a new series "Cursed by Design" with ConeofArc's permission

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought that... I feel less weird.
"No Comrade. Please! I can serve motherland anoth-"
Cuba has it's own T-34 version in service today, it haves an M46 howitzer mounted, that's a 130mm gun

hory shet
I would like to have more info, but I found this in Reddit:

@@aureavita8653 Probably it just shoots HE but it would be funny
Edit: It´s categorized as SPG
Shows the bob semple as a failed design.
Angry kiwi noises.
The basic design was used to produce a successful garden shed.
first than last name I’m kiwi and this offends me
Hey it wasn't bad for a country of 2 million
@@lastguy8613 Not even 2 million. In 1940 NZ (my home) had a population of approximately 1.6 million people. But the Semple "tank" was a terrible design thrown together in haste.
It's a technical, not a tank
I feel like Jagdpanzer 38(t) deserve it's own episode of "Cursed by Design" , since the head engineering was Russian with Czech team, which makes all sorts of intended flaws.
what do you think Cone?
The jagdpanzer 38t has quite a few interesting variants that would definitely make a good episode for the future.
@@ConeOfArc Were not focusing on the Egyptian tanks? Those things looked like KLOWNS in the short clip that you had. Especially the Egyptian 122mm T-34 with a uno-reversed turret. Also, you should try to include the main (or most accredited person) who came up with the idea of the next tank to look at. Just a thought tho...
Yes, they did it on purpouse but werent all those flaws fixed?
@@fritzenders5099 i think the 122mm T-34 was just in transport position
@@matthiuskoenig3378 Yea, but did you see all the other wacky tanks nest to the Egyptian T-34-100? Those are the ones that I'm talking about.

I’d love to see the Egyptian 100mm and 122mm variants introduced into War Thunder as event vehicles. They look very interesting.
No
@@creatorchris712 damess ashoul
@@henrykwakstein3521 What ?
Not as event vehicles, but as TT vehicles. Add them to the Chinese TT because the Soviets are thicc and China already has some cursed versions of vehicles from other nations.
@@ravenouself4181 most likely they will added to Israel since they represent the inpendents in the cold war world of tanks has that system toi
The Egyptian T-100 (and T-122) can't really be called a failure, it was valid way to make a decent SPG out of an obsolete tank.
What is History Channel and Discovery Channel compared to this, congrats Cone, you have the best History show I've seen in a long time.
I recommend Mark Felton
I recommend Potential History
I recommend dez nutz. 🥜🥜
History channel....no history anymore just Reality tv shite.
Ancient aliens and ice road truckers and CSI NY. That’s what’s the discovery and history channel are.
"Everyone knows the story of the T-34"
T-34: *DRIFTING IN THE BACKGROUND LIKE LADAS ON A GOOD SNOWY DAY*
This is what we want in things like the history channel, not some ice road truckers
The worst part of it is they talk mostly about aliens... At least there still good shows like oak island i think most of their history stuff has been moved to H2
I was expecting an even slight mention to the T-43, the tank which most of it's improvements were used to develop the T-34-85. But i guess that's another story as the T-43 cannot be considered a T-34 variant, but a whole new vehicle.
I enjoyed the video, thank you for blessing us with the almighty knowledge of the lesser known T-34 variant.
1 day nani
Huh
;)
Bless the T-34-100 and let Stalin encourage his workers to equip a 122mm on the T-34.
Actually, there were prototypes of T-44-122
@@iansysoev9462 T-44 not T-34.
T-34-152 when (T-34 with KV-2 Mod. 1941 turret)
Stalin like this
Yes it is real there is a T-34 with 122mm called SU-122
4:40 i saw that tank irl and thought to myself what kind of mad man would make this.
Nah, still much better than blackpink's T-34-85
@@toxicatto6074 LOLLLL the bling blink tank 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like how the T-34 went from a 45mm gun to a 122mm gun at the end of its cycle

Me, listening half asleep: "Who the hell started playing the national anthem? Is it coming from outside?"
I love the concept of taking old vehicles and trying to make them better. T34 and sherman tanks had lots of post war upgrades done to them. I have seen a t34 with a t54 turret ontop of it with some modification to the hull aswell
One minute in and this video is of such quality that I already subscribed.
Good video, good voice, great footage, lots of info and more.Your onto somthing here.I wouldn't change anything.Im not a gamer because there's no money for a console but I really like the format and the subject.Id run with it.Great upload!
Now this is my favourite channel... Good job 😄
I wish I would found you sooner! Your content is awesome, I love the oddball stuff!
Not 5 seconds in and we already see a drifting tank
BT-7 in arcade be like:
I've actually drifted my IS-6
The T-34/100 is undoubtedly my most favorite tank in War Thunder, so much so that I grinded it to having an Ace crew after more than a 1000 matches.
I absolutely adore it and I would still highly recommend getting one even in today's game. Its just that good.
Please keep doing this! It is so interesting. I recommend the smk, the cursed land ship of a kv1
Great stuff. As always.
i love this series please dont stop making these vids.
Great vid ConeofArc, I like playing this tank in WoT.
I'd love to see a video about the failed T-34M

"Happy Czech noises"
Your the "ahoy" version of cursed tanks.
Love your videos
While some other "older" WW2 tank presenters on YT have "lost" it over time you fine sir still provide feasible viewing material. Thank you so much for not going stupid on your fans.
I would love to see a video with more information about the Egyptian version of the tank and it's use in de war.
Isn't here a version without turret armor with the gun mounted backwards like the archer? Some Cuban variant I think
Awsome lookout for knew and different stuff. Aka late knight vamp
I LOVE that you're using Warthunder to show the tanks
Hey looks like RUclips is reccomending me your content again. I remember when you used to be MrStevegamer. Feels like forever ago. I like these new videos. Keep up the good work!
Been trying to find out all about the t-34 and it's various modifications.... first time hearing about the t-34-100
🧐🤨..... got yourself a new subscriber....👍😎
This is the type of videos i like.
"Mom, can we get an IS2?"
"No, we have an IS2 at home."
IS2 at home:
Having played 8+ years of world of tanks and warthunder, awesome videos.
But the game footage is good, it just doesn't hold the same value as real footage. Awesome videos!
Nice video, as an egyptian didnt know about the T-34 with the 122mm
"Throughout history there have been countless tanks, ALL designed to kill..." then shows bob simple tank. For those not aware it was never intended to be used against an enemy
Great video! Can you make a playlist on this serie?
Planning to soon
as a WoT player as well as WT, i knew you were gonna say czechoslovakia :)
Great mostly forgotten details and the scramble for supremacy.
Thanks for making this video
GJ and Im glad you gave credit to Warthunder.
I’m not sure why, but the opening puts me on the edge
A variant of T-34 that is very unknown by the public the the T-34-85 75, designated by the Finnish - Ps. 245-4.
The 🇫🇮 experimented with a T-34-85 by changing the cannon with the German Stuk 40/L 48 because of shortages of ammo.
When the war ended, the Finnish knew that they will need a much modern tank and they weren't too keen of experimenting. Only 1 tank ever existed and is today displayed in a museum.

T34: hi guys today were gonna get deployed
Yay a new series
Im 🇨🇿 and i enoyed this wideo :)
I liked how you puted there czech anthem 3:40
I love the black and white stylized WT footage! 😆
I love your video man tjej are epic
Man, this new series is S+ content
pls more in depth tank history videos
I love this series.
Thank you, glad you enjoy.
Everyone else figured "let's make the turret wider and more sturdy to accommodate a new gun."
Egypt "how about a T-34 turret but instead we make it T A L L"
such a good video
Glad you enjoyed
You should do a video on the tsar tank and the ratte
The factory gives me flashbacks of a map i used to rush cap A
1:16 is warthunder map "Abandoned factory"
Are we not going to talk about that t-34 drifting at 0:03 ?
hi Cone could you potentially cover the KV- 220?
In the future I'll probably get to it
Nice video
Maybe a vid on the su122? Idk if it was a fail or whatever
Make the sherman series like this too pls.. I know there is alot of super sherman out there, like Yugoslav ISO 120 (if im not mistaken), its a Sherman jumbo fitted with 122 mm russian artillery gun and such more
0:00 I had my volume at zero and yet I still heard the Mike Felton Productions music
AH YES IM EARLY FINALLY!!
Yaayy
Erwin is kinda based honestly
Bruh, if this was a television show I would be down to watch this every Saturday night.
That one line drawing 4:21 for a second had me thinking "nah, is that a...tell me its not a... King Tiger turret...?!?"🤣
I dont care which nation you put it with, i want to see the Egyptian variant in WT or WoT!
I need more of these
i love the intro XD
Are there any tech advancements of projectile so having large caliber tank gun would no longer be necessary?
what the tank at 0:39 with a tiny gun and the extreme slope?
Oh I like this Is this a new series?
Yugoslavia also made a few T-34 100 . New domed turret and modified hull...Pics can be seen on the internet
The ejipt version was just crazy n to heavy to drive forward with the barrel forward, that would be a good video to do
What about that one concept or maybe even actual concrete t34 I am not sure if it ever got anywhere but u have heard of it
Hi this may be a late comment but what’s that tank In 0:38 I’m very intrigued about it.
Should try and talk about the Egyptian t34-100
The name of the Egyptian song?
So basically, what you are telling me, is that the Egiptians upgraded the T34 to the point it became the MBT34?
Now that's something you don't see very often
this intro is actually brilliant, it's some serious History channel level shit
I love how the czechs have their anthem in background when the video comes to them. Very nice
Is there a video done on the T-34/57?
I'd love to see a Egyptian tree added into War Thunder and be able to play those T-34 variants
T-100looks promising tbh (this story is very familiar with the charioteer story try that next time ethan)
t-then why is this a premium tank in War Thunder?!?!
pay to lose???
Hell nah. This thing is a literal Bias Machine. With proper aiming, it can send people to the gulag as fast as a Russian chugging vodka.
@@donpadua6191 back in the day it was my #1 tank it still has the og t54 bias gun from beta the legendary lb1 thing was the only tank that defeated cheat fs back when it was meta it stops dart rounds now and slav squats on everything
it failed because it was inferior to the contemporary T-44-100 and what became the T-54, it is lower in BR than those vehicles...
Because WT doesn’t take into account reliability and usefulness, just the paper stats
You should do a video on Yugoslav version of M4 Sherman, mounting 122mm gun.
I wanna see a vid of this one on the E-100 or the Maus, maybe the Ratte too, a good april fool's episode would be on the KV-6 Behemoth since, well, it never existed, it's particularly interesting at least to me the level of desperate attempts at salvaging the losing war germany did near the end with things like the Maus being a complete steel coffin with a gun or the e100 not even being prototyped, and the ratte being essentially a building sized tank that didn't leave paper.
I have quite a few topics already planned. Some of them are things you mentioned
It only remains to wait for T-34-152
I'd love to see videos on the T-43, T-34M, Kv-7-2/Kv-7, M3 Lee, T32, T34 Heavy (and its variants T29 and T30), and the Soviet T-35. while only acouple of these could be considered "cursed" it doesnt mean they arent video worthy, just not fitting for the series. I understand if some of the tanks lack development info though. Other cursed tanks i can think of is the german multi turret tank who's name i cant spell, the Sturm tiger, Ferdinand/elefant, He-162, Kugelblitz, t-44-122, Object 775, Object 490, The KV-2 with its odd development (it had variants with a 122, and a 107), and the german B1 conversions. thats all i can think of, though there's plenty more no doubt
The T-34-57 failed too. It was too much focused as anti-tank and was unable to properly fight anything else.
And also when its shells penned the crew observed it did very little damage, often taking much more shots to take out one single tank.
Of course not like in War Thunder where the 57mm can nuke your tank as hard an an 85mm, good job Gaijin.
@@AllMightyKingBowser Then theres WoT(Blitz for me) where the 57mm can just brrt with 3.5s reload time.
The Czech T-34-100, a tank that I have way to much luck with in WoT. I shouldn't survive half the fights I get into with it,but it seems like with the target choice of a T-34-100 or the heavy it's supporting they always shoot the heavy.
This reminds me of natgeo lol Love it.
Can we get a heart react for Wargaming’s inclusion of an unsung tank variant and producing a decent medium tank for the Czech line?
I'd like to see a review of the Yugoslavian SO-122. Plz and thank you.
