I remember Jeff actually meeting Jeff at Walt Tucker, Scotty Paige's place in Glendale. I was playing his kit before he got there he had ambassadors on top and bottom, and I was thinking man he must go through a lot of drumheads, but Jeff was recording with some Italian singer. He and I got to be good friends. Super cool guy, miss him.
Missing you Jeff Porcaro on the 31st Anniversary 8/5/23 of your untimely death~August 5th,1992.I still remember sitting by my Uncle's pool in the Hollywood Hills " the night the beat was silenced." 🥁💔 A really palpable thick GRIEF all over Los Angeles and just shock and unbelief. While I was only 27 years old, the interviews with your wife Susan on ET "really shook my world." Watching this very strong woman with 3 young boys come to terms with her husband's death just made me cry. I saw the LOSS of a husband,Dad,son,brother and uncle.It's still "very real" today when I think back 31 years ago.
Glad to see David and Steve P still cool with each other. Amazingly talented band. I didn’t even realize back in 1982 just how musically gifted they were
It’s crazy because I used records and headphones when I started drumming. Jeff was always my hero and I listened and played TOTO tunes and, learned to play drums by modeling my style after Jeff. I my mind Jeff was the best drummer ever so, dynamic and most of all a perfect time keeper and unreal chops! I miss him so bad and, remembering him at this time.
Great interview. Jeff was an amazing drummer and so incredibly versatile too. His masterful beats on Lowdown by Boz Scaggs, , I Keep Forgettin’ by Michael McDonald and Running With The Night by Lionel Richie are some of my personal favourites.

Why no mention of Mike?
Probably because the title of the video being "Remembering Jeff"🤷♂️
I know it was about Jeff. I thought Mike might get a mention.
I was wondering if Jeff sang at all?
The only Porcaro brother who got to sing was Steve, and even then it was only on like 2 songs
@aubindemontfalcon5967 thank you very much
