    Is it possible to do in single edge staff?... I tried, but trying to get it up from waist was a little more effort than usual..I strain my wrist a little. Any suggestions

    • @SifuKuttel
      @SifuKuttel  2 года назад +1

      It is absolutely possible to do it with a single end staff. You might want to slide the hand down to compensate for the weight distribution. I can't picture how exactly you are straining your wrist, if you can film yourself doing this and then upload it to RUclips and tag me I can look and see if I can help you with it.

    what is the dimension of the staff?, my staff is 180 cm my wrists are begin to hurt, may be am old, or the staff es to heavy and long for me, or both things ..XD

    • @SifuKuttel
      @SifuKuttel  2 года назад +1

      The length should be okay, although it does add leverage at some points that maybe are at the brink of your wrist's current flexibility. It's really important to give your wrists time to rest if you feel soreness or even pain. Try it with a shorter or lighter staff and see if it helps. Although the staffs in my current videos tend to be on the shorter side, it's mostly due to training space restrictions and staff availability. Originally I trained these movements with 2m staff, and actually prefer longer weapons for these types of movements.
