This was such a funny video. He was explaining his reasoning, very interesting, but the extend of chat's focus was just 'vawe' LOL I like his style. It's genious.
It's hard to take someone serious when he writes "vawe" instead of "wave" twice, his 1 looks like a 7 and he generally just isnt making much sense after which he goes "i dont even know what happens, it just works for me" 😂
@@jonaza2105 the first sentence is because he’s bilingual… The natural inclination for a Swede is to pronounce “wave” as “vaive”/“vaif”, which is why he’s spelling it wrong. It’s not because he’s got bad grammar, it’s because he’s slipping up on his second language.
The way to counter Baus is to not kill him, just farm back and forth and play ping pong with the wave. Atleast that's my idea even though I can't sit still for more than 10 seconds without hitting a minion... I think the jungle makes me this way XD
the way to counter Baus is to just farm him as income - setup your jgl and deny him waves - fed jgl snowballs other lanes + if he cant farm as Sion hes useless (or he will prob. just run 0:20 and flame his team) His strat works because of Sion passive - think about a fiora/yi/vayne with unlimited income + true dmg - you can just kill him twice= easy gg
13:42 ranting about having shutdown being 4/6 when 10 mins before he talked how he never falls behind with his strat, infact being always on the lead lmao
When he put's it that way I don't think he completes the story. The reason why you need to die is because you have to contest the wave to at lvl 1 like he explained. Higher elo players will not let you have the wave for free so most of the time they end of killing him. So in order to gain control over the wave state he pushes so hard he dies.
@@killator3421 Not really, he skipped that part and used the phrase "death angle" before explaining what happens afterwards (so he doesn't explain the 'before' in full) He admits he's not a teacher, and he did a decent job of explaining his strategy, though whether or not any of the low elo copiers actually understood it is a whole other unknown~
By pushing, he accomplishes two things: 1. Not lose cs when dying Sion loses every match-up early. So pushing guarantees him one wave plus another with his passive. Whereas if he plays safe, he will likely get dove and lose all the cs and turret plates. 2. proxy Sometimes he can push a wave so fast he can go proxy the next wave. Which allows him to avoid interaction with the enemy top plus he has the jungle camps to scale freely
In a nutshell, sion is broken because he can play the game while dead making it so that he has a tempo advantage over his opponent. This together with his w making tanky always allowing him to buy ad and go splitpush is really important as well. On top of that he gets to abuse shutdowns using this strategy funneling gold onto his carries.
That doesn't inherently make the champ broken. Sion's main passive was always meant to be strong, and to compensate, the entire rest of his kit were made to be essentially skill-shots. In this case, Simon (thebausffs) was not only good enough to find a playstyle and itemization that was useful, but he was also good enough to pull it off. His micro is one of the best we've ever seen, and he has a very strong grasp on the fundamentals of the game. In fact, most people won't have a lot of success with this playstyle UNLESS their fundamentals are already that of around masters-gm. Only a very small subset of players (~0.03%-0.10%) are skilled enough to use this reliably; even then, they'd still have a lot to learn. I would hardly call this broken. Instead, I would describe this as Sion's full potential that only a few are capable of playing toward.
9:28 "yea no flash on him, no armor so I know it's a free kill" literally just died for it 😂 Babus didn't become the greatest by solving league, he just solved maths instead 😂
Play Pantheon and force fights constantly from level 3. Use ult to roam or return if he hard pushes. Easiest lane ever against this Neanderthal Sion Strat. Your E blocks his knock up. Q spam and build lethality.
sion hard outscales pantheon after sunfire, and considering you'll have the sion freefarming while you roam, he'll become a sidelane monster basically, if the sion is competent panth loses the game after 15 min
@@Looooren again - my perfect record against this matchup says different. He’s not free farming, he’s dead or completely denied farm and pushed out of lane. I also ward to make sure he’s not doing Krugs. And panth roam is very effective with his ult - obviously don’t roam when sions alive in lane though.
He does, just that most of the toplane matchups will still one shot him or can clear the wave very quickly (Think Irelia, camille, graves). But if he goes against a mage top, or things like Akali then he builds it and literally wins lane right there.
So i now realize, he doesnt give ashit about the enemy's gold/strength. The strat is exclusively playing around making himself strong at any cost. Smart af
Because it gives more armor pen and ad than serydla grudge and even though he doesn't use the tank buster passive from lord doms sion also doesn't really use the passive from grudge since your ult slows/stuns your e slows and your q slows/knockups/stuns and the raw stats from lord doms is just better
Saw some arguments in comment section about "if the support is so op why dont you play it and get to challenger as well then" There's two things: in the game's current state, either you're challenger because above-average skill or you're challenger because above-average luck compensating for lack of mechanical skill/macro skill. So many people don't realise that no matter how ironic it sounds, soloQ is largely luck-dependent, for anyone who isn't 10x better than your average player. And not every challenger gamer is 10x better than your average gold. Let's look at back when dodging isn't severely punished, and duoQ was still an option. Let's take PantsAreDragon as an example. Pants is literally an example of "what happens if you take the dice-roll of trying to get semi-human teammates out of the equation". Pants is a "good" macro player, extremely mediocre mechanics, and has a decent understanding of the game's basics. That's literally it. Yet he consistently manages challenger when dodging was a legit good option. Why? Because he maximised his chances of getting DECENT teammates. Not always GOOD, but good enough to the point he can play around them. So for the people asking "why don't you play (insert role/champ) and get to challenger as well?" Most likely the person you're questioning simply doesn't have enough time on their hands to play the game 24/7, dodge and wait for timers etc, or they're simply unlucky. LUCK IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR IN A TEAM BASED GAME.
delusional gold player thinks hes better than any challenger player in any capacity lmfao. luck may be a contributing factor for some accounts with low sample sizes, but when people have 500 games, its statistically impossible for "luck" to be the reason someone is hardstuck, thats why boosting exists. Boosters arent just really lucky people, theyre good at the game. You are your rank because thats how good you are, its not your teammates, its not luck, its you. Once you accept that fact then you can start the journey that is improvement.
@@caelriley794 boosters also dodge every game they deem unwinnable from the champ select. That's the whole point of "what if you took dicerolling for teammates out of equation", lol
@@caelriley794 also to simplify a complex problem down to "for 500 game sample size if you go 50/50 you're just bad" isn't exactly accurate to whatever might be in actuality. It wuickly becomes apparent (hopefully) that once you start adding constraints to the problem, the stats doesn't hold up as perfectly as you think it will. It really isn't that huge of a gap between the players, more likely it's how actively they're thinking about what to do instead of autopiloting most of their games.
