Never took me that long because Chrous is the very first Erasure song i heard when my brother had the album on CD and used to play it to death on his portable Stereo. It was the sounds that i was fascinated by.
The best duo ever! Not afraid to be different and in every video they bring us such a treat. The hair raising amazing voice that is Andy Bell and genius Vince Clarke. This is such a masterpiece like others say on here. Turn it up loud 🎶🎶
And the environmental message continues to get more valid every year. (Unfortunately.) When this came out i was in uni. Now i’m over 50. But it still sounds fresh and relevant. And, beautiful of course.
would you, if you have time/inclination be able to recommend any lesser known awesome Erasure tracks ? I'm a fan, but, to my discredit, only know the hits really.... :(
Been listening since the 80's. Erasure was way ahead of its time, way under appreciated but always remind me of my favorite times before aids, before internet crime, before MTV quit playing music, before the san fransisco earthquake, before enron, before the avian flu before 9-11, before the oct 1st Massacre in Las Vegas, before Corona virus and because of that Erasure will always have a special place in my heart and remind me of better times❤💜.
I watched parts of this video being filmed at Burling Gap on the south coast of England... It was a chance discovery by me, but such an incredibly memorable day as I got to talk to Vince & many of the crew... great memories!
When this first played on the radio especially when the intro started I couldnt believe what I was hearing. There was nothing like it at the time. A fan since.
The very computeresque, spacy sounds most prominent in the beginning is one of the two elements that puts this above many others songs. The other one is Andy Bell's more harmonic singing towards the end, the one involving the line "a dawn chorus".
my dad used to play this to me when I was about 4. Listening to it now I can see that it's played a massive part in shaping my musical taste as an adult. It's put together really well.
I was listen too Erasure back in the 80s , but i had forgot that until i find them on RUclips, then i remember.Bring back good memories , and Andy Bell got a great voice.
Back in the 80's I loved Erasure. I missed a lot of songs from the 90's, too busy travelling. But I have just heard this for the 1st time ! What a True, Amazing, Sad song. 💙💛💚 Erasure Forever 💙💛💚 xxx
Never liked erasure that much when I was growing up, only now can I appreciate how good they were and still are, some of their tracks are incredible ❤️
you have to turn this one up to listen. what an awesome song!!! Vince Clarke has been in all my fave bands...Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and Erasure. What a talented guy.
Wow I love it when the RUclips algorithm suggests a song, I click on it and I remember hearing it and loving it in the past! Which then reminds me of pleasant memories when life was good
Decades later and im still like, what does it all mean... No matter, to me anyway. When i sense a sound that makes me stop everything, i have to absorb as much of it as i can. If it catches my attention, I'm a fan for life. Music transcends boundaries, moods, and is food for the soul.
You find a lot erasure tunes on pop 20 by erasure n what Aswome tunes they have from parst to present classics . Best duo fro making music ever in my eyes and opinion
It was out in around 1991. I had just come out of the closet in college in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This song really WAS ahead of it's time because it got minimal play on American radio stations. They played it for maybe three weeks and then it dissappeared, along with the band. I think the public did could not identify it as pop, or techno, or snappy dance music. Rave music was just barely coming into the underground. Or maybe Andy was just too gay. There was no place for Erasure, at least here in the United States arena. I almost feel that, besides The Innocents, ALL of Erasure's records are full-fledged cult albums.
The Chorus album is different from any other Erasure album. He went back to using Analog synths and CV Gate because the timing was tighter than MIDI. He programmed every song one note at a time. The results speak for themselves.
A very happy 61st birthday Vincent John Martin (Vince Clarke) 3 July 1960. Originally a violinist but thankfully, switched to keyboards.. Many more John Vincent..
Erasure the best of my life i have known
Crying over my lost youth.
Yeah ❤ I do that a lot
The opening with Andy and Vince rising out of the water with all that synth equipment. 😍
❤and they covered up the sun until the birds had flown away, and the fishes in the sea have gone to sleep,,blue Savannah,we win in the end
This song is number one in always years 90'
2000' 2010' 2020'...
The best Erasure Song in my opinion
I am agree with your opinion
My favorite for sure after i first heard it i couldn't stop playing it ❤
Ship of Fools? Phantom Bride? Little Respect? Stop?
Run to the Sun?
It's probably not their best song but it's my favorite. It's equal to Good Vibrations in my book
When you decide to browse Erasure hits and it takes four hours. Such an inspiring band, pop gold !
Did the same with ABBA yesterday. Where did that time go? 🤣
didn't last long though, did they?
Never took me that long because Chrous is the very first Erasure song i heard when my brother had the album on CD and used to play it to death on his portable Stereo. It was the sounds that i was fascinated by.
Gold....
Yes!
Wow! This was 30 years ago!
Timeless... Now... The Future...
In a down mood just listening to erasure lifted me up proper music🎉
What voice!!!!😮
The best duo ever! Not afraid to be different and in every video they bring us such a treat. The hair raising amazing voice that is Andy Bell and genius Vince Clarke. This is such a masterpiece like others say on here. Turn it up loud 🎶🎶

One of the most incredible songs of the group
This song defines Erasure for me
If you are here with memories of a care free youth then your smiling right now 😊
I was the mom with a Ford Taurus wagon, 4 kids, & a cassette player ..
Andy was my high school crush. Here we are 30 years later.. the music is still meaningful, and he's still as beautiful.
are you man or woman? because he is gay
@@awaken77 None of your damn business.
Lol.😅
Still listening in 2024!!!!!!!!!
Just superb isn't it? After all these years. 👍
And the environmental message continues to get more valid every year. (Unfortunately.) When this came out i was in uni. Now i’m over 50. But it still sounds fresh and relevant. And, beautiful of course.
Definitely. Sounds brand new. ❤
Every year 🤘
I will be here at least one time per year
I miss this era of music (and my life), so much it hurts 😢
The music's still here....
This is, in my humble opinion, the best track off of the best Erasure album.
It really IS a delight. It has a lot of individually great pieces going on at once, i think. Really cool.
Too many to choose from. So many great tunes :)
would you, if you have time/inclination be able to recommend any lesser known awesome Erasure tracks ? I'm a fan, but, to my discredit, only know the hits really.... :(
listened to "wild" album? I was hooked on that at 7 or 8 years old loved them ever since
Breathe is really good but I find all their stuff fantastic.
Masterpiece of modern music
Certainly is.
Chorus is the ten best punk-rock music of universe !
This entire album was THE SOUNDTRACK TO MY LIFE when it came out. The memories!!
top band of the 80's / 90's
I used to think he was saying and the dishes in the sink have gone to sleep.Youthful wisdom ay 🤣🤣🤣good tune love this one
Sometimes it just seems random bad luck that a song doesn’t become a great hit.
I was obsessed upon discovering this song a few years ago. Now I'm obsessed with it again
This song takes me back to some of my "wilder" days. I love this tune!!!
Very well said! I agree.
I watched parts of this video being filmed at Burling Gap on the south coast of England... It was a chance discovery by me, but such an incredibly memorable day as I got to talk to Vince & many of the crew... great memories!
A perfect match, Vince has some history. Depeche mode, Yazoo and Erasure. A true trailblazer in his time

When this first played on the radio especially when the intro started I couldnt believe what I was hearing. There was nothing like it at the time. A fan since.
Exactly the same. Soon as I heard it I was in love with it.
It was groundbreaking. So unique.

Brilliant we’re Erasure
Боже мой,моя юность!Как время летит.Здоровья вам,ребята и спасибо за путешествие во времени.

The mood change at 2:52 is one of the most striking musical moments that I’ve ever heard.

Perfect Pop. I remember this making me want some dungarees and floppy blonde hair more than anything! Vince and Andy should be the next Doctor Who...

Best synth pop band of them all.
OMG I can't believe how good this is! Erasure is phenomenal.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! (I used to play this on repeat while cleaning my bedroom!!!)
Top class from Erasure
CHORUS!!! Coro... lo máximo en sonido electrónico....
This came at a time in my life when I was really struggling. It helped so much. I'm glad it was there for me. It really made a difference.
I am a time traveler from the year 2021 and I can ensure you that humans still celebrate this song!
His voice always gets me.
I had the album on tape. The early 90s was a tough time for me but great music like this helped me get through it.
Decades later and im still like, what does it all mean... No matter, to me anyway. When i sense a sound that makes me stop everything, i have to absorb as much of it as i can. If it catches my attention, I'm a fan for life. Music transcends boundaries, moods, and is food for the soul.
This song came to my mind in my dream, just in time for today's eclipse 🙌💃☀️
Amazing always
It's amazing how much tech was needed to make this music, compared to the present.
One of the best hits. Drums are as live in their part. Vince is genious.
Thanx to Andy for the all vocals!🤘
What a record. Pop perfection. Wish I had words to describe what I feel about this song ....
Literally spent years trying to remember this song.... Just found it again finally.... Its just as good as when I used to hear it as a kid.

One of the best from this great under rated band...some greats that never have been truly acknowledged.
I always thought of this as the coolest Erasure song. So hard to beat it.
It's one of my favorite songs..
My favourite song by erasure

Best record ever.
Wow ..what a great song and so is Erasure.
This song always got everybody moving at the club. We ALL loved it. Most of their songs were very popular at clubs back then. Great band. Great music.
Perfect Pop!
I'll never get over how spectacular this song and video is. Life-changing, every time.
Erasure forever !
33 years gone since this song was out , where did it go ? God only knows ?
Playing the latest live offering last night...can't help but dance along to this track...damn classic song this!.
This is a monster! Way ahead of its time! I’m sure there were plenty of electronic music genres that took inspiration from Vince Clarke!
They were some band. This is a belter.
It was out in around 1991. I had just come out of the closet in college in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This song really WAS ahead of it's time because it got minimal play on American radio stations. Not ahead of its time at all. Pop music was simply better back then.
I totally agree takes me back to my youth
what a song, what a band
1.8 million views! This song never gets old! Love it now as much as i did when it came out in 1991.
This is an amazing song! Important for the next generations to listen to this song..going forward as a human race.
