Again, great ideas Laurel❣So many fun things to use when making cards. Still appreciate the fact that you get right to it with no fiddling about etc. Oh, by the way, loved your Cutterpillar glass mat 😁. Looks like it might be the light mat? I have one in the glass studio - LOVE it!! Use it for glass piecing and alcohol ink work. I like their paper cutter too. Great products made in the good ol U.S.A.!!
Thank YOU, this was really awesome. I'm going to have a play with my Shimmer Powers and see what I can find? Yes, find? In every combo of colors she used, was at least one animal, but usually more. I would NOT want to miss all that!
I LOVE my shimmer powders, but I never thought about adding them to a medium because my favorite thing about them or how they shatter when you wet them and I assumed you’d lose that effect when mixing them into a medium. Your examples prove that assumption wrong and it looks like now I have a lot of new ideas to try. Thanks!
These powders have been my favorite medium for the past year and the newest colors are excellent! I never considered coloring my different pastes with them so I definitely want to try that next! Thanks for sharing these ideas !
Some have put water in them to reactivate but some say that might cause mold... I haven't had any dry up with the new lid designs. The original ones I found had poor lids and that was causing all the product to dry out.
Me too..> Laurel you rock! Love these shimmer powders... are there a couple new ones? Besides the lunar one I thought I saw one that would make a lovely night sky?
Great to see what happens when using stencils. Are those powders still 5 dollars a piece? I bought them yesterday for 3 euros. I can’t t wat to try them out!
Still learning these powders, my one bottle I am experimenting with comes out too fast, even just turning it upside down and gently tapping the bottom but I love it so will persevere. I couldn't find what brand of watercolour paper you use. i see that it doesn't warp which mine does not matter how little water I use.
Hi Laurel 👋 WOW Laurel I loved loved loved all your art work u are such a very clever talented young lady thank u so much for taking the time to share 👍 very much appreciated ...... Watercolor cardstock of any kind will work. You would need watercolor cardstock just because the powders react to water. You could try with regular cardstock, but it might pill due to the water reaction.
Sorry for typo. A face in the gold shimmer powered card. After you added the gold powder before adding more on the left side of paper/shimmer powder looks like a nose and mouth. The center a eye. The right a ear with hair. Bottom The next. Kinda a goat or horse mixed face. The top of shimmer powder area hair. BTW. All the cards as beautiful. I don't currently have any shimmer powders but I just ordered some thanks to this video. Lol.

Thanks for sharing! They’re beautiful. Is the Gold (the one that split into yellows and darker colors) named Golden Sparkler?

I have a question to ask,my texture pastes kinda dried up ,how can i salvage them?
Some have put water in them to reactivate but some say that might cause mold... I haven't had any dry up with the new lid designs. The original ones I found had poor lids and that was causing all the product to dry out.

Lovely!
Question: You splatter white ink/paint on one of the panels. What did you use?
I think I used Tsukineko texture spray in white. But any white watercolor or ink you have would work for this!
@@LaurelBeard Thank you. I searched for the textured spray but I couldn't find it.
Ooooh lovelyyyyy thank you xxx
What is the best card stock to use with these shimmer powders?
Watercolor cardstock of any kind will work. You would need watercolor cardstock just because the powders react to water. You could try with regular cardstock, but it might pill due to the water reaction.
@@LaurelBeard thanks! What weight would be best?
What watercolor paper is best for embossing on
