Best 7 game series ever: Bulls - Celtics 2009: 5 games decided by 3 points or less. 7 overtime periods for the series. I´l still say the 90s or early 2000s were the best the NBA ever got. But that series was the best 7 game series ever.
@@perottosson5127I loved the Celtics series, and a diehard fan. But I think this is a better series considering how good Indiana was, how rundown the bulls were getting, all the pressure to maintain the bulls dynasty, and how they came back from 10 in the fourth quarter of game 7. And Reggie’s game winner/shove is an iconic replay which the Celtics series didn’t really have.
I miss this kind of game so much. Look how Harper helped Mullin up after the charge call. Players didn't act like an ass to LOOK tough. Garbage talk≠ dirty talk using simple N word or F word. Look when Kenny said: "Mr. Stern...." Stern just smiled and comfort him: "David, David." I think this reflects the whole world how things going down now.
This was my favorite 7 game series & I was very fortunate enough to have gone to game 1 & 7. I also went to school with Reggie Miller at UCLA from '84-'88, so I was watching my two favorite players in the NBA Ever. Only ONE game was won by double digits & that was game 5. Just Awesome Basketball being played, Not really any Dirty Play, (Like Knicks/Pistons) & entertaining to watch as well🏀🏀👏👏
Until today I believe this still is the best roster Pacers ever assembled in term of how many all-star and semi-all stars at same time . 98 bulls had Jordan, rod man and maybe 0.7 Pippen alongside kukoc for star power. I was actually thinking Bulls might lose this set at time.
I was watching Larry talk an thinking "he quit years before this why is he talking like he's in this game?" I forgot for a second he coached these guys.
You could make the argument that the Pacers were deeper and more talented than the Bulls overall. But Chicago had the intangibles - Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen & home court advantage. What a great 7 game series!!
MJ & scottie look like they're running on fumes but they pull through. Really feel mark Jackson was a great shooter & if would have just taken his opportunities instead of backing Scottie down etc. & turning the ball over the Pacers might have had a chance
people talk about how these new NBA is much more skilled, faster, blah blah blah...it may be, but I don't care. I want to watch men compete and try on every possession. Give their all as if one play will determine a win and placing 2nd.
I remember watching this on Croatian tv back in '98, still best 7 game series I have ever watched 💪
Same in Italy
@@youtuber3328 all awesome games but I didn't watch them live on tv.

Man, I miss this style of basketball so much. MJ should and could have won MVP every year

Man I remember this game.....best challenge the Bulls ever had....That Pacers team was no joke.
man this was one hell of a series
That was good basketball back then...MJ will always be the greatest that ever play the game... point blank period
MJ deserved 7 MVP titles. He was the best in 1993 and 1997 season.
Love watching Michael Jordan tnks
Once again thank you for this great upload 👍
You’re welcome! I always appreciate your comments!
@@michaeljordansportsvision6393 however I did miss the commercials
I actually enjoy them. They bring back a lot of memories

It is fascinating how basketball has reflected the degradation of values, overall quality of citizenship, and civilization these last 30 years.
I remember biting my nails the whole series. Indiana had a great team.
Yes,they did, but,I knew the Bulls would win the series in 6 games like they always did.

@@kerry-j4mThey won in 7
@@luisvergara6502 As long as they won, that's what the record books will show.
Jordan and, especially, Pippen were defensive terrors in this game. They were an A the whole series, but this game in particular was A++.
Wow.
I love this.
Thanks
😍❤️
This was a real NBA....

“Old” MJ 😂
GOAT
This one of the greatest game 7 playoff series in nba history
Ernie and Kenny have been doing this together for so long. Such a mistake cancelling Inside The NBA.

All-time series

The bald headed Indiana Pacers was tuff everybody on the team got a bald head for the playoffs
Verdaderas batallas

Absolutely that pacers team was way more talented than the Chicago bulls but we had Jordan 😂
Da Bulls 🐮

Defense was insane, especially in the second half.

Indiana Pacers won my heart.v
Rip David Stern but you started the softness in today's NBA
I agree 👍💯 Facts
