    Always wondered 2 things about Greg Scarpa going to mississippi.
    1, what did he say back home for going AWOL.
    2, ive no idea why the FEDs didnt make Greg dissappear straight away after it.
    This was just a few years after the 57' meeting, kennedy murder, hoffa etc.
    The embarrassment of the Government being found using a mafia member to do their dirty work had the story leaked during the riots that came not long afterwards. Greg obviously had a lot of valuable information.

    At around 40 minutes in, Scarpa confirms that he was made into the Colombo family along with Michael Franzese and others “on Halloween night”. He doesn’t mention the year, but if he can confirm it, a long-standing controversy can be put to rest. Franzese claims he was made Halloween night 1975 but experts dispute this because LCN had closed and not yet reopened the books for membership until 1978. Now that Scarpa is speaking publicly the matter can be closed.

      Yeah that’s not a reliable situation, Michael has said in every single interview that the other 5 men that were made with him were all eventually whacked. So something here isn’t adding up. I don’t think it’s the date though

    • @peterstacie
      @peterstacie 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@thevault9579 So Michael says it was Halloween night 1975. Scarpa says they were made together with ten other men.
      They are both either lying or forgetful?

      @@peterstacieMichaels a story teller. He’s probably deep down ashamed that he was made in 78 and 6 years later it was all over and he was ready to cooperate. Over the two I’d trust Greg more than Michael. Also it’s well known that Michael was a driver on a hit in 78, which would have been him making his jokes to be made. Also Michael’s accounts of who was there and was captains etc etc is provably falsen
