Once again you guys knocked it out of the park. Great drone shots. Nice work. Noelle crushed it, not just driving, but by picking this trail. Was an epic trip. Had a blast with all you guys. I’m ready to go again!!
I can't wait for the American hotel to be finished in Cerro Gordo. I have a ticket for when it opens, but Ill have take this trail in, when it opens. Thank you for showing it, great video.
Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos. The drone footage showing the grade incline and the ridgeline view is top-notch. I suspect this trip was one of the last of the season to the tram. That storm was cold enough to leave ice and snow on the trail until spring.✌
Second time trying to post this comment - guess U-Tube did not like the first version - lol. Probably the best video I've seen of Swansea Trail and its challenges. Me and my Husky pup went up it two years ago on my two - door Wrangler. You got me nervous on that third step where your wife was saying to watch the road. Most everybody hugs the left side - you were half on the right and half in the middle. The spot where your crew stopped to get a quick bite in my experience is haunted. We started the climb about 1 or 2 PM, we got to that spot about 5PM - we decided not to set up our tent due to a howling wind that kicked up an hour before. As you could imagine we did not get a restful sleep, however about 2 AM my pup jumped up and looking thru the windshield he started to growl. I thought maybe the he saw or heard an animal like a rabbit or deer. Several seconds later we heard voices like someone walking downward on the trail - the Jeep was facing the trail so I turned on all my lights. We saw nothing so I went outside thinking maybe someone broke down or was stuck - I called out but no response. This is when I got chills and returned to the Jeep. BTW, by this hour the wind had completely died down. We never got back to sleep. I don't know if you saw that camp spot on the left after this spot with the fire rings - weather permitting I think I will camp there when I go up there in a couple weeks. TRUE STORY.
Great video guys, I definitely want to do the Swansea trail someday. June Lake Loop is such a cool area, there are some nearby gem campsites in that area.

Thank you for watching and appreciating the effort Charles. I'm glad we got to sneak that one in before the winter storms.

Wow that is a great story! That would have made an awesome video. 😄
Another great video. I did that trail a couple years back. I wasn't a fan of the drive at the 10:30 point of the video. No risk no reward!!!😂
Yeah that section is a little chunky and off camber.

Thanks Mike! We've always talked about checking out that June Loop. I need to go through there again with more time to explore
