Thank you so much for showing how to load the blade in it id been fighting with it ages was on verge of sending it back to amazon as faulty 😂🤣😅 but as soon as i watched your video i tried again and it worked 👍💖
Just got one of these for £1 at a flea market, it's a nice knife and the in-handle blade storage solves the biggest problem with these folding type knives!
Just bought one from Leyland, it doesn't work, something seems to stuck & I can't even put a new blade in it, there's a blade there already, but, I can't even take it out. It's a nice hand tool, well made, compact which is why I bought it in the first place. Hand grip feels nice in your hand, it's a decent tool to have around when you need to open some boxes. I believe the little groove or gap is indeed for cutting string, plastic wrap around boxes? I'm gonna take it apart to see what the issue is, because, something doesn't feel right, something seems to be stuck inside the end where the blade is supposed to come out. All in all, a decent knife from Stanley.
I have a Stanley Fatmax but I like the version you showed. I like the idea of fold away. I will have a look and see if I can get one. Thanks for the review.
03:06 Thanks for the how-to on how to actually fit / change the blades... as the instructions that came on the box were utterly useless if you've never used one before 🙃
its the biggest load of crap ive ever used the blade just wont stay in and is now shoved itself down the bottom and i couldnt get it back out without pliers. Going straight back to b&q. Great review of it though mate, no shadow cast on your video!
You might have a faulty 1 then mate as I've never had a problem like that with mine. Might be worth swapping it and trying a different 1 or just go for the milwaukee fastback utility knife instead as that's a really nice one 👍
As with all your presented gear, this looks a very good ‘Stanley’ Knife... 👍🏻 I do have one of the original ‘Stanleys’ but wanted a folder, so bought a Rolson Tradesman’s, which is pretty good. But I would have gone for the Stanley had I seen your review beforehand... 🙄 🤷🏼♂️ 😂
I did have an older Stanley but it was a fixed blade. I had to nip to b&q for something and as always I can't go to any shop without looking at the tool section 🤣. I spotted this knife and just had to have it. Milwaukee also make a very nice looking folding knife too and I can see 1 been added to the collection at some point
Have NO idea where these reviews are coming from praising this ! You have to take the whole thing apart to put a ruddy blade in it ! There bis no way I would use this on a site, it was bad enough spending 15 minutes fiddling with it on a kitchen table. Hold the washer in while trying to hold it together, while trying to keep the pen holder clip in place while trying to tighten the screw...... I found an old one in my tool box and used that, one screw, undone, new blade in, done ! This thing got threw up the wall. RUBBISH !
do you know there's a little red button to press for the quick blade change. I've never had to take it apart to change a blade. It takes about 5 seconds to take the old blade out and put the new blade in🤷♂️. I really like mine so I got another one for in the house 👍
Got mine for £6 on Amazon, still struggling to get that paper label inserted in off, don't know whether to undo the bolts? Thanks for the ideas, it's helped a bit though....
Yeah I seem to remember it been a pain to get the label packaging off. I ended up just ripping it off with force and it did all come off. Not sure why they made it so hard to get the packaging off. Hope you managed to sort it 👍

Thank you, really helpful. I could not fathom how to collapse the knife into the body.

They make the packaging hard/fiddly to remove so they're not as easy to steal from the shop.
