Holy shit dude. I'm a horror hound in my friend group. I swore this show existed, but nobody else could remember it. I clearly remember sudden Henry Rollins cut ins popping up. I remember his Twilight Zone imitation voice. I don't remember any of the episode content. I just remembered Henry Rollins in the Twilight Zone knock off. Thank you so much! This has been an itch in the back of my mind for about 6 months. I gotta see if I can find some episodes to watch now.
Awesome. I know this feeling and I'm glad I could provide it to somebody! Thats amazing. The full season is on youtube. Not in great quality but watchable.
Yeah I was the same way, I've forgotten more anthologies than most have seen because I watched so many as a kid lol. Kind of fun getting to rewatch them when someone reminds you of one from the past.
Thanks for covering this! I remember this from Sci-Fi channel actually. Henry Rollins was an interesting choice for host. "Dark" had an interesting premise and it really stuck in my head seeing it as a kid.
I miss the original SciFi channel so much, they have a few good things since they caught SyFy-lous but they had so many better "filler" shows back in the day instead of all the reality garbage most channels cram in between their original programming. Plus Farscape was probably my absolute favorite show of all time. Like Star Trek, Henson Studios, and Lexx were mixed up in a blender and that show came out lol.
I had forgotten all about this show! The shadow episode terrified me as a kid. What a blast from the past. I'm going to have to revisit the other episodes.
18:38 Hey it could be worse, one of the lamps could be demonically possessed and trying to kill the guy. Yes that plot exists, for the 4th Amityville Horror movie. I think that was the writers begging for the franchise to be put out of its misery.
Ah yes. I like the dollhouse one of those cursed object amityvilles best, lol. I actually haven't seen the lamp one yet, but I own it. Is it good bad or just bad?
@@SlasherHomeVideo Phelous did a review of it and posted it on RUclips. "Amityville 4 the one with the Lamp." I'd link it but RUclips gets weird when my comments have links, especially to RUclips videos.
I'd love to see more of this show. I remember seeing an episode of this on late night TV back in the early 2000s but couldn't remember what it was called, other than it being hosted by Henry Rollins of all people. Looking at the episode guide on Wikipedia, it was episode 6 I saw: If a Tree Falls/The Occupant. I remember being impressed with both stories at the time, but in particular the second one which had a very clever twist ending.
Anything that has Henry Rollins in the tumbnail, definitly has my attention!^^ Great video, I love the old but gold days of horror and so much from that time is forgotten or no longer available, which in itself is a sin. Thx for shining a light on one of those gems ^^ Keep the good stuff comin ^^ You definitely earned a new subscriber ^^Sorry for any grammar or spelling errors, english is not my native language.
Interesting ties to Lost in the Rappaport section with his plane ticket showing Oceanic Airlines and then the shadow monster similar to the Smoke Monster featured on Lost.
I remember watching this as a little kid in the early 2000s when I was like 10 years old. Seeing the scenes from the episode brought back some memories lol
Im sorry bro,i heard henry rollins and had to stop this video and went immediately to go watch it because that's freaking amazing Subscribed,be right back

It seems that some networks always does this to good shows: Knight Rider (2008), The Cape (2011) and more. They start off slow and when they get to the good stuff it gets no proper closure.
Holy Cow. I think that bartender was Benny, the Vampire that helped Dean Winchester escape Purgatory or wherever the leviathans were at in Supernatural.

@SlasherHomeVideo OK imma give you one: check out the BBC zombie drama In the Flesh. A zombie apocalypse has been stopped by returning zombies to full sentience, putting them in re education hospitals and returning them to society with the following affirmation: "I am a Partially Deceased Syndrome Sufferer and what I did in my unmedicated state was not my fault". It's fabulous, and completely different than 99.9 percent of zombie fare. A more traditional but also fun series, also from the BBC is Dead Set, which takes place on the set of Big Brother during a zombie outbreak.

Henry Rollins did look jacked. I’ve never heard of this one.
It's worth checking out if you like anthologies
They did used to have those emergency funds in the late 90s and early 2000s. But usually they were for the elderly.
The first episode looks like In the Mouth of Madness, which is interesting as Dan Angel wrote Body Bags for John Carpenter.
Oh, cool. And Billy Brown. They did a lot of tv anthology stuff together apparently. Good catch!
If you haven't checked out night gallery, you should. old one step beyond is awesome too.
If you like this I would recommend "Fear Itself" also a forgotten gem anthology
Oh yeah. Great recommendation, thanks!

That's weird, I'm sure I've never seen this show but the theme music seems really familiar.
I'm certain its probably very similar to about 20 other shows of this era to be fair lol. It's very 2000s edgy spooky.
