Originally, this song's title is "Sea of Fear", composed by Michael Weikath. He played this by accoustic guitar as a mellow song with his previous band, SAS Band, around 1982.
You made this old lady very happy by showing off my boys 😊 The singer/guitarist is Kai Hansen (the original singer), the bald singer is Michael Kiske, who left in ‘93 and the singer who opened the song is Andi Deris, he’s fronted the band since 1993. After years of hard feelings, Hansen & Kiske buried the hatchet with Michael Weikath (the one playing the white “Flying V” and composer of this song) and reunited with Helloween in 2017 for an epic nearly 2 year world tour. They have an album that was to have been released in 2020 with a subsequent tour, but we all know how that turned out. All masterful musicians & performers, I knew you wouldn’t be disappointed! Thanks again!
@@dasbroetchen3398 I know, it's been pushed off until 2022, I heard it a couple of weeks ago, a person I know who is quite close with the band DM'd me about it. They are supposedly appearing at an outdoor fest in Finland this Summer though....
Welcome to the fathers of Powermetal. ;) Nice Reaction. By the way, 2016 was a reunion, Original Members came back, "new" Members stayed. Thats why such a big crowd is on stage. :D You habe also take a look to "Keeper of the seven keys", "I want out" and a lot more. Greets from Germany. Stay healthy and take care.
A very brief info: the singing guitarist is Kai Hansen - one of the co-founders and their first vocalist in their debut album. He left in 1989 started another band ( Gamma Ray ) and took part in many metal projects in the European scene. Now he’s back for the reunion. The bald guy - Michael Kiske joined the band for the next 4 albums and he was kicked out in 1993 for musical differences. He’s an awesome singer and back in the days he wasn’t chubby and bald but rather slim-fit and blonde haired young man. Quite handsome actually. The guy who made the introduction is their current vocalist who was invited to join the band in 1993 and basically this decision saved the band. He’s equally as awesome as the previous singer but with very different and harsher voice. They have a long stream of amazing albums with him since then In 2015 ( I think) they had decided to make a reunion tour, which was very successful and a dream come true for many fans myself included. It was so successful that this seems to be the line up now and they are about to release a new album in 2021 with 2 vocalist and three guitarists . I can’t wait actually
This album was my first contact with heavy metal. I was an ordinary soviet kid without any stabel music preference. My classmate gave me a cassete with Walls of Jericho and Keeper of the seven keys. It was an endorphin blast ! :) Now I am 48 yo and still crazy about em. This June I took my wife to Pumpkins United concert. She switched her religion from pop to metal in few hours )))
Have to listen to their legendary hym " Keeper of the seven keys"! Awesome powermetal and alway great shows! Greetings from Germany! Enjoy your reactions! Watch out for Halloween United Alive 2019 with first singer Michael Kiske. Same voice during 34 years!
5:24 "How can these have a conversation during all this?" 😂😂👍👏 6:11 "This is crazy, man..." Absolutely right. And the drummer plays for two. It is absolutely outrageous how easily he contributes the reliable double bass drums to this high tempo. Helloween (United) = Living legends.
So man this is like a reunion of sorts. guitarist Kai Hansen, is one of the original founders of this band. After Keepers of the 7 keys pt 2, he went on to form Gamma Ray. Michael Kiske, went solo after the album Chameleon. that was in 1993. Andi Duris took over after that. from 1994 to current, Most of the so called new faces, have been there almost 20 years.. Most notable, Sasha Gerstner(Guitar), and Dani Loble (Drums)..
The basic set up of the band consist of 5 members. Lead vocal. 2 lead guitars. Bass. Percussion. During the time, the personnels are being reshuffled, for many reasons. The very first member / founder of the band, Kai Hansen, previously was the Lead Vocal + Lead Guitar, but as the progress of the band with sophisticated composition, he gave up to sing while guitaring. So the band recruited a young 18 y.o. vocalist, Michael Kiske. But, then Kai left the band instead. Lately, Michael Kiske also being fired due to musical preference. And Andi Deris replaced as the Lead Vocal. Around 2013, Weiky met Kiske and tried to make a conversation, so that they can forgive each other of the past conflict. Then, for a couple years, they arrange for REUNION, so that they released "Pumpkin United" single. And lately, they (Kai and Kiske) become members again, so that the band has 3 Lead Vocals and 3 Lead Guitars. CMIIW
to be fair, the two members who are talking over the instrumental part are "only" giving harmonic background at that moment 😀 but nonetheless everyone of them makes the perfomance just seem so easy and playful.
That was a travesty that they didn’t get the exposure here in the US. Truth be told they didn’t get much love from Germany, either, they were criminally overshadowed by The Scorpions & Accept 🤦🏻♀️
This song is from the album "Walls Of Jerico". The next two albums (Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part 1 and 2) are considered the birth of the power metal. If you want to react to Helloween again, I recommend the song "Keeper Of The Seven Keys", that's at least 4 songs in one. ruclips.net/video/ZUzpf3mMsxA/видео.html Greetings from a German Helloween fan.

This song is from the only speed metal album Helloween ever made, Walls of Jericho. The rest of their albums is power metal.

Not to jinx him, but Daniel is a beast on the drums. For the older fans, with connections to Running Wild and Gamma, Metal Machine... another beast
Epico no es asi......saludos bro desde Chile...
Classic, genre-founding power metal. And no, it never got much in the way of airplay or mainstream recognition here in the US. Sigh. 🤘
