It's interesting to see their different paces when they eat. Kotaro just seems to savor every bite. I remember when I was younger, my grandmother noticed how I ate so fast, which came from eating at school and we didn't have much time for lunch at school. So grandma told me to enjoy the food, and savor every bite. Now my pacing is like Kotaro when I used to be like Hana!! 😊
That's exactly what she tries to tell us with her eyes. I had a cat like that whose eyes would burn into the back of your head until you gave her, like, 1/3-1/2 of the food on your plate. I actually lost weight owning that Cat!
Wonderful to watch such human beings behavior. They have the same thoughts as humans and most of the abilities we think are only human Thank you for sharing the joy.

The look on Hana’s face when she sees Kotaro still has some salmon left ….. That was 3 years ago and still she begrudges him every mouthful! It’s such a shame, Kotaro is so earnest about everything he does and is a true gentleman but Hana is in for the main chance. It’s hard to be cross with her though, she has such an adorable face and eats with so much relish. Clearly she lives to eat although she loves Kotaro and would be in his corner if need be, she is just so exuberant when food is around. I doubt that she will change, it will be up to dad to make sure Kotaro gets what’s rightfully his. They are so different and yet they make a perfect couple and seem to be together most of the time. I love them both❤

It is like -san, a kind of polite form but used for kids/younger adults (as far as my non-Japanese understanding goes). Basically the Japanese people are so polite that they would use it even for those lovely otters.
Hana likes to steal everything that belongs to Kotaro so I expected her to try to steal his salmon from the beginning lol But she eats wayyyy too fast, as if someone was about to take her food. Kotaro eats at a normal speed, and he's adorable 😊
We all know who's the eating contest champion. 😂 I noticed on some videos that Kotsumet parents often give Hana bigger meal portion than Kotaro at first. And give extra meals when she finish with the first. Thank you, Kotsumet.. 🤗

I’ve noticed that Kotaro always has a problem when he has to face a big lump of fish. As opposed to Hana he prefers to have his fish cut into smaller pieces. That’s why he’s slow at the beginning and faster towards the end. But we knew that greedy Hana would win. Nothing stops her. Mind your waistline dear lady !! ❤️❤️❤️

Kotaro isn't slow. He likes to enjoy his food. He dropped it so he could eat it leisurely, without fear of Miss I'm-Always-Starving stealing it. He never seems to scold Hana when she does take his fish or chicken. That's how much he loves her. They are just too cute together. ❤
Actually Kotaro does deflect or scold Hana sometimes if she tries to take his food. The most hilarious video example was a time when Kotaro and Hana were on a diet but she pinched a few pellets of his cat kibble. Later in the bathroom Kotaro stole her sweet fish and held it away from her under water. He didn't want it himself; he doesn't like sweet fish. He was just showing her what it felt like for her to steal his food. It was hilarious and quite pointed. The Professor knows what he's doing. And Hana's gluttony for salmon is so funny, I was laughing so hard watching this clip. But Hana does have to learn not to pinch food from Kotaro.
Love Hana and Kotaro! I only skimmed the first couple hundred comments in English, but I also love how we are all so HERE for these otters that nobody ever seems to comment on the ickiness of fish being all over the cloth furniture and carpet. Lol
