Be more specific by getting a tungsten carbide scribe like i use . Hardness 9.5 with it

Thank you, that will be very helpful.I'll see if I can find one. I use polished CR-V steel (which is 8.5) for scratch testing now .

Same as I said before, these scratch and 8.5, are not scratched by aluminum oxide, and these ones are not scratched by silicone carbide either.
