Just an FYI , HC doesn't require you to remove individual figures as casualties ,,but rather the uses of wound markers behind the unit . Ideally with the single bases included you can use these armies for multiple rulesets . Cheers Tom
I bought the original starter box 3 years ago ready to play Infamy, Infamy! and painted up the Gauls. I then ran out of steam and never got round to painting up the Romans. Or playing Infamy, Infamy! for that matter. Oh well, it's a future project for sure! Great set of unboxings, thanks!
Great vid :) I am excited to get into HC, but I will propably base them separately to have the option to use them in other systems. Although, like with other wargames, I am more into the painting aspect than playing, since it's already difficult enough here to play "the usual culprits"... historicals are even more difficult.
Slings we’re used especially when fighting Numidians. Or any foe who would whittle down there formations. Romans lost a lot of battles because of Skirmishers. Especially against Hannibal
Two regrets : the gladius in scabbard must be cut for realistic reasons when soldiers are equipped with gladius in their hands. Then but its an anecdote, officers used to have their gladius in scabbards on the left side and puggio on the right unlike soldiers. Impossible to do with the moulds I guess....
Please start doing world of tanks miniature game videos again! Tons of new stuff and I've watched the battle reports too many times to watch them again, MOREEE!!!

We based these on 25mm rounds for SPQR
Didn’t the Roman army use a hell of a lot of Celtic cav , and the Emperors guard were celts as they were considered the best cavalry ?

Cavalry were new for SPQR. Horses are thinner versions of the old metal ones that came with legs attached - same dollies anyway.

Probably more variation than we realise. There's one frieze showing an officer wearing his pugio like a Saxon wore his seax.
