My brothers girlfriend graduated med school last year, but the number of times I woke up at 2am to my brother comforting her on the phone, and convincing her that it was all worth it- far out I barely got sleep the week of her final exams and I WASN'T EVEN TAKING THEM
Made me reminisce about med school days, which weren't that long ago ! Good luck to all the medical students pulling all-nighters, stressing out over exams, stumbling in OSCEs, trying all sorts of ways to study and retain information, and giving dud answers when questioned on a ward round. Stay strong and persevere! :D
Am I the only one who noticed that the guy in blue said he goes out drinking with his friends after an exam but then said she doesn’t drink at the end of the video 🤔
My acceptance into Medical School at David Geffen School of Medicine was easy. Just under 5 minutes. My mother managed 3 Neuroscientist at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for 16 years. But I have known these doctors since the age if 7. I guess for me it was all who you know. Alot of Doctors helped me along the way especially during my residency. That was the most stressful part and no sleep.
I relate to the asian one's so much. The first time I saw a cadaver it was half a body cut open fresh from post mortem and my friends asked if I was okay. I was completely fine. In fact excited 😂
I'm happy there's people who can handle this pressure . I'm 9ver here deciding whether not I want yo be a day care teacher or an in home sitter. I did not need to go to college .
Grades don't prove how brilliant or good Dr you are. Believe me. One person may be bad at tests because all the pressure makes them too nervous but can be amazing at practice I've seen it
Having a good grade only means they are good test takers. In Medicine there’s so much more that’s important: clinical skills, empathy, working under pressure, listening, among others. I prefer to have a doctor that cares than a robot reciting something from a book.
I study medicine in Bolivia. I remember the first day of the first semester we had to dissect a corpse and study anatomy from that. The following week we had an exam on the entire cranium (only bones).
Now let Nursing students do this. Have you ever: • Inserted a suppository • Had to change someone’s sheets after starting an IV • Memorized the entire list of medications • Failed a quiz by one question • Gone to a skills validation without sleep • Gotten a level 3 on a proctored exam • Gone a full 12 hour clinical day without compression socks • Fainted during clinical • Administered an enema without getting anything on you • Had to borrow scrubs from the clinical site • Been late to clinical • Been late to proctor • Done compressions • Done post-mortem care
I remember being stressed out as a medical student...then as an intern, then as a resident, then a registrar. Gets harder with every step but it’s worth it. Final surgical exams now done (hardest 6 months of my life) but it’s done and it’s still busy but it’s so much better now that it’s over!
My sister and My brother are both in Medical school, my sister especially feels super stressed out but since my Parents are both experienced senior doctors, they help my siblings out a lot. Such profession can gain more maturity in a persons life due to a lot of emotional and financial experience.
My sister is in medical school and she calls crying at least once a week on how stressed she is.

Diana Pineda they might just mean they get soda, water, or juice. Or they just mean they don’t drink heavily
Maybe he's the DD. You can have fun at a bar without drinking.
There are also virgin drinks so he can still drink without ingesting any alcohol.
Sarcasm. Boy prob drinks heavy
I do that all the time. I go to bars with my friends and just get water or soda.
Sophomore in college and this made my anxiety for medical school skyrocket
There will always be hard moments but if you love what you do, it will be worth it🙌🏻
I'm graduating with my doctorate in nurse anesthesia this week and I so relate to all this.
David is not just cute, but he's also wearing a GOtcha.. my kind of man
"I could have led a normal life"
Our darkest thought with each final
Tears coming out now.....😂😂
I'm far more stressed about getting into a school than I am about the material I'll study once I'm in
Bruh the first question both Asians say “I have not” lol
When they have to ask questions that won’t ruin their chance of finding a job in the future 😂
I don’t know why I ever chose this field , I’m depressed, have anxiety n life’s a huge mess
Omg pls continue to put me off😂 I really want to be a doctor but I need someone to crush my dreams
Never have I related to a buzzfeed video so much (med student here 😆) everything they said i feel it in my heart
Is this long term or short term
I'm a medical student too!!! Yay let's all suffer together
This is the only comfort we have😅
Same
Lily was a little girl afraid of the big wide world 😂😂😂😂
I just got into med school....and this video was a mixture of comfort and terror.
me: *minor inconvenience during uni*
me: I need to drop out
A wise young man once said:
"Now you can fall asleep at home while watching the video. "
"Never gotten a bad grade" Well I happy for that, I want our doctors to be brilliant!
Grades don't prove how brilliant or good Dr you are. Believe me. One person may be bad at tests because all the pressure makes them too nervous but can be amazing at practice I've seen it
@@luugz7397 so true
A result from a test do not insure you a good doctor lmao
No. You want them to be skilled
Having a good grade only means they are good test takers. In Medicine there’s so much more that’s important: clinical skills, empathy, working under pressure, listening, among others. I prefer to have a doctor that cares than a robot reciting something from a book.
I know how hard it is but I'm just SO EXCITED, I can't imagine myself being anything else than a doctor.
I study medicine in Bolivia. I remember the first day of the first semester we had to dissect a corpse and study anatomy from that. The following week we had an exam on the entire cranium (only bones).
0:30
Of course, the Asian students have never gotten a bad grade
The Great CooLite i was gonna said that
Asian with their brain
lol I don’t think I’m asian anymore
All the ones with bad grades have been killed by their parents lol
I’m Asian (persian) and i have bunches of bad grades
Now let Nursing students do this.
Have you ever:
• Inserted a suppository
• Had to change someone’s sheets after starting an IV
• Memorized the entire list of medications
• Failed a quiz by one question
• Gone to a skills validation without sleep
• Gotten a level 3 on a proctored exam
• Gone a full 12 hour clinical day without compression socks
• Fainted during clinical
• Administered an enema without getting anything on you
• Had to borrow scrubs from the clinical site
• Been late to clinical
• Been late to proctor
• Done compressions
• Done post-mortem care
This wud be perfect
I m in med school and I call my parents every day asking can I quit my course.
