      Thanks for the heads up, I just saw it. Yeah it looks good and a little plug for Way of the Wrench too. I thought he built a cabinet with a flatpack, wonder what happened with that. Thanks for the watch! Cheers!

    The wait for each video is unbearable! ;) Really enjoying your work. Currently debating whether to buy or build, would like to build but space will likely be an issue. Regardless, I will be waiting and watching!

      Lol....I got you hooked and begging for more! I gotta balance work/family/RUclips so it's a bit of a juggling act. Plus I need to keep my automotive subscribers happy too. Vinyl and theme unveiling is next! You should build it as it's a great diy project. See if you can cut it elsewhere then build it in your space. Thanks for the watch and your support for the channel!

    Great series. Really enjoy your channel
    A suggestion If you can do this.
    Have a small section of the screen. Call it Player 1 $#,####
    This number will increase as you show each part that goes into your build. It can fade in. Hear a cash register sound and the number goes up. Stays on the screen for a while then fades out. Thanks for showing us in detail how this really goes together.

      Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the channel! Yeah that's a good idea, just afraid the cost will turn people off. It's going to add up quickly. Thanks for the watch and the suggestion. Cheers!

      Thanks dude! Yes vinyl is next along with theme unveiling but sadly it will be a month as I'm busy spending time with my family camping and my shop is closed for the month. Thanks for the watch and your support for the channel!

    Great Series - makes me want to build another cabinet with some of the lessons learned from the first one. I really think the extra prep is worth it so thanks for each step. One item I would include earlier in my next build is to route slots along the sides of the cabinet at this step (along with a diffuser) that keeps LEDs flush with the cabinet. Looking forward to the next video.

      @wayofthewrench  25 дней назад

      Thanks dude! You should build another! Do it! Lol. Yeah I would totally router out a channel for the LEDs but the monitor has about 1" on the sides of gap to fill so LEDs it is. I do have an idea to try out too you'll just have to see. Thanks for the watch and your support for the channel!

    A lot more work to hide edges that most people wouldn't see in typical situations, but man do I love your attention to detail! Also $18 for Rust-Oleum 2X?!? Thankfully that stuff is still $5 here.

    • @wayofthewrench
      @wayofthewrench  25 дней назад

      Yeah it's all the little details that make a great project. I know some people wouldn't see it but I would and it would bother me. Yeah Canadian pricing is through the roof! Thanks for the watch!

      Soooo many cool projects do little time. It's definitely on my list but maybe not next. I will need to do a ton of research on it as the high end builds are crazy expensive. Maybe a lower end one first? Thanks for the watch and your suggestion. Cheers!

    A little bit of a perfectionist all i will say is you can tell you are an engineer as on the budget build was a little over engineered each screw needs a punch then drilled and screwed with a manual screwdriver I am a carpenter by trade and a bradall and screwdriver electric of course will do the job, but anyway great job with the videos.

      @wayofthewrench  17 дней назад

      Yup guilty as charged, I take my time and guarantee that my work comes out exactly how I want it to. There are much faster ways for sure. However, people also tell me that it must be nice to have all of the tools and equipment so using basic tools is good too. Thanks for the watch and enjoy the series. Cheers!

    If this build is going to be a higher end one, maybe add some light guns? Although a 32" backbox screen might not be worth it.

    • @wayofthewrench
      @wayofthewrench  20 дней назад

      Yes light guns would be awesome! I'm wanting to make some custom gun4ir ones so highly possible to be either added or shown on this vpin. I do eventually want to make a big screen shoot em up cabinet for gun games. Maybe future content for a while series! Thanks for the watch

    Nice work, what about under the T-moulding? The T-moulding might not fully cover the unpainted area?

    • @wayofthewrench
      @wayofthewrench  25 дней назад

      It should but yes one could paint there too. If it doesn't, a quick touch up paint pen will make very quick work of that. Thanks for the watch Dan!

    I'm excited for this project and it's got me thinking about doing it myself (I'm not terrifically handy, so it may still be a big wall for me to climb). Very curious to see the parts list and the estimated cost. (Although I think I'd go with an LCD over an OLED -- OLED image retention still scares me. #plasmaSurvivor).

    • @wayofthewrench
      @wayofthewrench  25 дней назад

      You should go for it, it's an amazing project! Plus you have my tutorial series! This budget is waay more but even just the lg OLED and PC will be $4000! The other parts aren't too bad as they are all Arnoz and Cleveland Software parts off the shelf. I know what you mean but I'm going to research exactly what is needed for anti burn in cleaning procedures and stick with it. Thanks for the watch and your support for the channel!

    Nice work. Like always on this channel. 😉
    I am still planing my Virtual Pinball. And still i wonder what TV size would be best. At least 43" at 120hz.
    But this 43" TVs often are more expensive than 50" or even 55".
    Would it be a problem to use 50" TVs for my pinball? Does it maybe "feel" oversized while playing?

    • @wayofthewrench
      @wayofthewrench  11 дней назад +1

      Thanks, I appreciate your support for the channel! Yeah you're not going to want a 50", that's too big. I hear you about the pricing but if you can afford it, a 4k 120hz OLED is where it's at. Or you do what I did and save about $4,000 and do a budget 1080p 60hz setup. Hope that helps. Thanks for the watch and enjoy the series!
