    This movie meant so much to me. As a single parent of three LGBTQ children, and coming from a deeply religious, conservative background, the experience was something I don't know that I can put into words. I feel like my own personal struggle was acknowledged by the universe. I laughed heartily, and then cried so hard I needed the entire credits to compose myself. And even then, as the music faded out, the audio included a chorus repeating "I love you" over and over. It was a more rewarding experience than I have ever had watching a film. It was more than I dared to hope for. The Oscar would honestly be irrelevant to me. This is my favorite movie of all time.

      @Eddie Avinashi From an evolutionary perspective any LGBT+ stuff is highly disadvantageous, so it is most likely not genetic (although there might be genetic components which predispose someone towards such tendencies). My guess is that it is partially prenatal hormonal exposure (for the sexuality) and a belief into essentialist gender stereotypes (+ cult-tactics) for all the rest.

    • @livederad6805
      @livederad6805 2 года назад

      It’s interesting to see the scientific side of people who are LGBT. But there won’t be any research done because people are concrete about the idea that people are “born this way”. If scientists does conduct a research in the future. They will be labeled bigots and homophobes. We don’t know what causes it. What’s the brain pattern of the people. Does it contribute to having high suicidal tendencies. And many more. We won’t know because people are very adamant.

    Every time I'm about to lose my cool at my family or colleague, I just think back to the rock scene. Ultimately, it's all nothing. Why do I have to hold on to me being right? Doesn't help the work get done or improve anything. Instead, let's just be kind to each other. Ultimately, it's going to be okay so I don't have to be afraid of being wrong. Even if they do something I fear would bring us to ruin, all the moments of rejections and disappointments will lead up somewhere good in the end. So why worry and be mad~ In my office, I put up my EEAAO movie ticket to remind me every day. How it is so freeing that it's all okay and I can appreciate the little wonders in life~

The character development is so well done silent rocks with text dialog keep the viewer's attention. You are so invested in the characters you're able to provide the emotional context from the characters missing from text communication. That in itself is a lesson on the importance of direct human connection outside of the virtual space. This is a once in a generation alignment of all the components from the first manifestation of the concept all the way to the final distribution cut that can't be predicted or planned.
