How do you know it improved the performance? Unless your Goldwing is put on a dynamometer that claim cannot be verified. The problem with almost all after market exhaust mufflers, even on dirt bikes, especially with fuel injection, is the mapping of the EFI is tuned to the exhaust that the manufacturer puts on the bike. Unfortunately, most riders mistake the loud audio feedback of an aftermarket exhaust with increased horsepower when that may not be the case. If you are planning on going back to the stock muffler why not take your Goldwing to a local business with a dyno and test the horsepower then when you go back to the stock muffler test that one to see the difference. Would be interested to see the results.
I was there assisting The Cruiseman to record standing audio and I can tell you that the Remus mufflers hit that sweet spot between the factory 'hush' and the 'blap-blap-blap' sound many Harley and Indian riders like. I know, I used to ride a Harley and an Indian with pipes I just knew had to be illegal. While the Remus sound is not that, it does add back some 'muscle' that's just enough to let others know you're actually riding a motorcycle. It's very satisfying. I like that. I also ride a 2018 Goldwing Tour DCT and I'm still riding with my friends in the Indian group that I came from. They constantly, and with good natured kidding, are telling me to "start up" when they know my Goldwing is already running! I mean, I ride a motorcycle that outperforms Harleys and Indians, yet it sounds like a Tesla! From the factory, the Goldwing sounds subservient! It's masking its strength! So, I reply with "Did you find 'em?", and they say "Find what?" And I say, "The other four cylinders?" Now, for me, it's my wish that Remus will make a version without the electronic control. A model that sounds fully open at all times that will cost less to buy and is a much quicker install. For me, I would never use the lower sound settings because, fully open, it's just right. It's not turning up the exhaust sound to eleven, but more like a six. Ahhhh... nice. It will let others know you're riding a powerful motorcycle but without also waking the dead.
Thank you, you said it way better than I could. My experience after installing them as I love them love them love them. I can let it sound like the Goldwing stock or I can put some muscle in it for the harley boys. Not ever as loud as a Harley pipe would be but it lets you know you got some motor but you said it way better than I could.

I’ve just fitted the Remus Sports Exhaust to my 2021 Honda Goldwing Tour and it sounds fantastic. The Cruisemans Garage installation video was very helpful. The only thing I struggled with was connecting the Remus Control unit to a switched live 12v supply. The standard connecting leads on the control unit are for a 2018 up to 2020 models. Remus supply an adapter lead for 2021+ models. Remus supply additional instructions to fit the adapter lead to a serial connector located under the seat. I couldn’t find this connector on my bike. Instead, I cut the plug off the Remus control lead with the single red wire and crimped a lug on the cut end. I terminated the lug on the positive ACC terminal at the fuse box. I then replaced the 10A ACC fuse (fuse No8 in the fuse box) with a 5A fuse. All other connections were made as per Cruisemans video and Remus fitting instructions.

The stock muffers do have a drone in the cruising rpms...read on the GL1800 Riders forum about a member using a wine cork in the smaller hole in the end of the mufflers...I tried it and it does change the sound with no affect on engine performance or fuel mileage..I liked the difference with the sound when I tried it...if the drone sounds bothers you try it...it will cost you nothing to try it for yourself

Can you find more information about the benefits of the exhaust other than sound
Check their website
Do you need to adjust the mixture or engine map to take account of this mod?
Is there any exhaust same mechanism for honda cb500f?
How long did it take for you to install it?
Hello cruiseman are you still running the remus, if so what is your thoughts on it after using it for over a year?
Yea, I’d like to know too.
@@rrbcap He replied to me on a different thread and said they only let him keep it for a month to do a Video and then he put the factory back on. I myself purchased it and it is absolutely amazing.
@@morinadventures3364 What company did you purchase the Gold Wing Remus exhaust from?
There are people who just don't care what you do to their credit card. I don't know anyone like that. But, they are out there.
Sure sounds good.
Merry Christmas. Maybe Santa will drop a set down the chimney.
Crazy expensive.
Like I said in a previous post, some pay more to have their bike custom painted.
40% open made me smile. I bet that smile is expensive.
It's just money. Might as well spend and enjoy it before the government takes it all.
@@cruisemansgarage Do you profit from their sales?
@@bikerguy5829 I wish. Uh, no.
@@cruisemansgarage
How much did you pay for them? $0.00
:-)
@@bigmick1062 I don’t own them. Remus loaned me a set for review purposes.
I guess remus isn't sold in us. They are well known throughout Europe and UK
REMUS is well known in the US specifically in the BMW community. Not so much when it comes to the Goldwing community yet. We will work hard on it!
@@REMUSNorthAmerica remus has some amazing exhausts on the market. Well worth a look for sure
Just saying there were performances gains isn't enough, a real test would have been on a dyno to see if the cost is worthy!
nice video, not for 2016?
The OEM mufflers look like crap in comparison. These look and sound good - but the price to value ratio just isn’t there for what amounts to a pair of slip-ons. I actually like the sound of the stock mufflers and don’t hear any of the drone that others complain of. Good installation video.
What mode was the bike in when the video was made?
Combination of Tour and Manual.
Now if it sounded like my 82 Honda cbx it would be awesome
Spytaj się Remusa dlaczego nie dodają naklejek na wydech ?
I know some will like these. I’m not a fan, to much work for a different ‘sound’. I also don’t like the fact that all of the stock parts can’t be re-installed. Hopefully they are illegal in CA, so I will never be tempted to buy them. Just my opinion, no shade from me for anyone who likes them.
Damn, sounds fantastic
Was there a significant amount of performance increase?
Hard to say. I was riding more aggressively than normal and blew me away how fast the bike is. More than I need.
Nice video..these pipes have a nice sound, but is there a drone at cruising rpms like with the stock mufflers? I would prefer a quieter muffler than the stock mufflers myself...more like how my 2003 wings mufflers were...but 3k for mufflers...got to be a rich man to spend money like that for just mufflers.
I did not notice the drone.
No drone at any setting.
Would installing these on my 2020 DCT effect the factory warranty or an extended warranty?
I don't think so. But, that is a good question.
Keep the stock exhaust.
Damn it, not available for the 21 model
Yes it is
Nice job... very disappointed that the cost of many...many things are getting ridiculously expensive....! Sad thing we are locked out from many fun hobbies....like a nice scope for example is the cost of a car Daaaaaaaaa......Had a Harley long ago cost what these mufflers are going for ...argh.....great job on the vid....goose bumps when you showed the sound on the road..
Sport Exhaust for Honda Civic cost 2000$ ???
I don't believe on imposing the noise my bike makes on others. It's a matter of consideration to the people that my live were I drive
The stock system has a terrible drone at 75mph. Dead in the middle of highway cruise. Does this system get rid of this harmonic at highway speed with the closed setting? I love the idea of this system opened up for around town but want that drone in my Neotech II to go away on long highway miles
I don’t notice it on my 2018 but then again my music is blasting in my helmet 😁
Have you got custom fit earplugs? I notice no drone in my neotec and I use custom made earplugs
@@UltimateDazzle I don’t have custom ear plugs. Just the disposable Howard Leight Lasers. I confess I’m due for a good set of custom fit.
@@tdeloriea would really suggest you invest in some if not to improve your riding experience on the goldwing but to reduce the risk of prematurely losing your hearing from the dB level
Sounds awesome, I like the valve system, Remus is big name in uk,, I think I need to be sitting down to get the price tho. great vid on how to install them 🇬🇧👍
Superb video. A must have for me! For the sound checks you did while riding, which riding mode was the bike in? As we all know the OEM system sounds very different in SPORT vs TOUR, let alone ECO/RAIN. Would love to hear it in SPORT (especially if you was in your usual ECO mode😉)
I was mostly in Tour and a few times in Manual to get the revs over 4k.
@@cruisemansgarage impressive!
Sounds lik a V8 I love it great job 👌
Thanks! 👍
Great video, very detailed. Looks good quality and nice tone, not too loud.
We will be providing a high quality Sound Video shortly which will capture the sound in various ranges and modes.
Take off the motorized valve and just have it open 100% and drop the price by 2k and count me in.
I was ready to buy until I looked at the price. Holy $h1t!!! There is no bolt-on mufflers worth $3k, sorry
Yeah, maybe for my new 2020 C8 Corvette!!
