I wonder how many of your viewers stop to think how fortunate we are to be on this journey with you. I feel honored to be invited to your home every day via social media. The videos and photos brighten my day. I have had a love of gardening ever since I was a little girl. Your property is a sweet reminder of my childhood home where my father grew everything (except asparagus, because he didn't like it) His gardening, along with my mothers canning and freezing, fed our entire family and half the neighborhood as well. He also had a small cut flower garden for my mother. Your videos touch me deeply. I am truly grateful.

I was agonizing over doing over part of my house/yard, and a friend of mine, who's a professional designer, said " I'll tell you a big design secret. When you build and plant what you love, it all goes together." I think of that every time I'm driving home with a car full of palms, plants and such that were too good to pass up at a garden center. As a very visual person, this was really helpful to give us all an idea of the plans you've been talking about within the space and to see the general scale of it compared to a tree, greenhouse and your existing gardens. Seeing the teeny images of polytunnels on the drawing really put into perspective how massive the new property is. I hope you add in more drone footage as you work on it, it has been really helpful to be able to place things on the current property as it can get a bit confusing knowing which area you're talking about, even after watching for years!

Hey Laura and Aaron! Looking good! One thing that you may want to consider is a patio near that large green lawn. Reason I say that is my parents really like to watch my high school kids practice on the pitch so to speak. They will appreciate a place to sit out of the sun and spectate. By the time my son was 5 he was taking up a huge amount of space for running, kicking the soccer ball and playing catch with the football. The words he still utters at 17 are: “grandma watch this”!

i loved this video... first, one of the reasons we love you both so much is that you make it so personal, and we are honored to be treated like friends instead of just "audience"... second, THIS IS EXCITING!! i can't add land to my tiny property, nor do i have the energy, money, etc to do it anyway, so i can live vicariously through you and Aaron and watch this whole process!! and you two are so impressive in your thoughtfulness about the whole thing: the planning, the measuring, the conversation.. honestly, it's a lesson in relationship as much as gardening :) i'm a lot like you, just sort of dig it up and go and then hubby comes behind me and tries to adjust watering and borders and stuff to what i've done, lol... not always a good way to go! i love how precise you plan things with measurements, etc but you still allow that room for changing your mind... this plan differs slightly from one of the first drawings you showed us months ago, and hooray, it's part of the evolving process... what a beautiful place this is going to be... and thank you for taking us along for the ride!! :)

Laura/Aaron ~ Consider Placing The Two High Tunnels (end-to-end) In The Back Garden Area. It Would Look More Appropriate Next To The Barn, Because Of Its Structural Appearance And Function, Rather Than The Beauty Of Flowers/Plants Being Grown There, And Hidden More From View.

Hi Laura and Aaron! I really appreciate what you did to show us your initial plans for the new property. I love being a part of your adventures. I'm a visual person, so it's so much easier, and nicer, seeing it on paper and then your iPad. I love that you could do that, who knew? Not me! LOL! As always, I look forward to everything you guys accomplish on your new property, and your old property! Could you have imagined that you would be referring to the property that you've had only for several years as your "old" property? You guys are such a joy to watch! Thank you so much for sharing!

I love that you're going to have an avenue of trees to drive down every time you come home, with a big lawn adjacent to that. It will be so restful to the eyes. The other thing in your drawing I really like is the little woods with the pathway running through it, up in the corner near where you're entrance is....I love walking in a pine/evergreen forest....there's something about pine needles underfoot, and the smells are so nice. I'm anxious to see what develops there!

SO EXCITING! Thanks for sharing your process of deciding as you go, which is what I do, learning which spots hold water, dry out faster, where the rainwater flows and needs to be diverted, etc. Ongoing research shows me plants I wasn't already aware of, and they're often ones that are perfect for what I need. It's a relief to know my process is acceptable. Love your drawings and colored drone footage. Your explanations are very understandable, but your drawings are fun to see. Thanks for taking us along on this great adventure with you and Aaron.

Wonderful video, I learned a lot. I tend to think most woman fall into the catergory of 'I'll know it when I see it' when shopping for anything, flowers, shoes, thrift, it has to reach and grab us. And yes, we get to change our minds whenever we feel the need. I often start out with an idea, and mid stream I'm on to something else that works out better. The drone was so helpful.
