Re-enactors love history, yes if it means it’s heavy and hot but historical accurate they might do it make it look authentic they love it and the crowd loves it.
Oh and keep this in mind when you reenact dday Ohio don’t over pack. Your more likely to get a heat stroke so In your haversack you can just make It look like there’s stuff in it like use foam. Just saying

Tagalog is pronounced Ta-ga-log, not Tag-a-log. I’ve been to the Philippines several times and know a lot of Filipinos and this is the correct way of pronouncing it.😉👍
