@@jimmungai8552the 144,000 are indeed literal number, they are "living saints 144000 in number" according to Early Writings but they are only the first fruits, and first fruits necessitate a second fruit, which John saw after the sealing of the 144000. He said, "After this (after the sealing of the 144,000), I saw a great multitude....." (Rev.7:9)
They are crying in the wilderness like christ not sitting in a church but out in the world but not of the world they speak the truth of god to everyone no matter what the cost

You are waiting for Angels? I am waiting for Jesus Christ. He gathers before the 4th chapter. I suggest you do more studying in Thessalonians especially 1 Thess 4.
Notice how the word church is not used in Revelation of Jesus Christ from 4-19 especially. Notice how heaven is opened twice? Church goes up and church comes down. Who is listed in the middle of Revelation of Jesus Christ?
1) Those who don't repent.
2) Those who are martyred.
3) The sealed remnant.
The sealing is not about the rapture it's about those who enter the millennial Kingdom.

As cautious as one would want to be whether the number is literal or not... it is literal... how many ppl were saved in the ark, how many ppl were saved from Sodom and Gomorrah, in the 1844 after the disappointment how many stayed back to understand... and those were "type"... the "anti type" would reflect such...
I think ur argument is good, however, one thing about the Bible is that prophetic contents are always found or wrapped within prophetic contents. When the state changes everything changes. Check through Daniel even Revelation itself.

Amen Brother.The 144000 understands clearly the TIME of the proclamation of the 3 Angel's messages and the time when the 4th Angel of Revelation comes down from heaven(2012 AD).These understands the oath of Daniel 12:5 and Revelation 10 in Relation to transition of the Judgement of the dead that commenced in 1844AD to that of the living by God's clock of TIME and the close of the probation period.These gives the LOUD CRY of the fourth Angel and the glory of God Illuminates the whole earth.

This sealing of the servants of God is the same that was shown to Ezekiel in vision. John also had been a witness of this most startling revelation. He saw the sea and the waves roaring, and men's hearts failing them for fear. He beheld the earth moved, and the mountains carried into the midst of the sea (which is literally taking place), the water thereof roaring and troubled, and the mountains shaking with the swelling thereof. He was shown plagues, pestilence, famine, and death performing their terrible mission. TM 445.2

Yes, very true, they are the living saints sealed in the SDA church to be the last servants of God to be sent to the world to call out those in Babylon to joint that triumph church, read Rev7: 1-4 about the sealing of the 144000 servants of God, and in Rev 7: 9, about the Great Multitude who will be brought to the triumphant by the 144000 at the time of the blowing of the 4 winds or during the Mark of the Beast decree.

What are the differences between the 144,000 and the Great Multitudes? Are they the same group? Why no one preaches about the great multitudes as much as they preach about the 144,000? The book of Revelation gives us a holistic view of Christ and His Church. This is just a wake up call.
The great multitudes are all the risen redeemed of earth history from adam on. The 144k are the living ones at the time of earths last seconds just right before Jesus returns

The Bible says that they are of the 12 tribes of Israel, 12,000 from each tribe; they are virgins; they are men; they have been sealed by GOD. The characters are quite clear in Rev 7:1-8, 14:2-5

The only message preparing faithful Seventh Day Adventists to be part of the 144000 is the shepherd's Rod.
it takes wisdom for one to do personal investigation of that message, even if the General conference declared it wrong that does not make the message wrong.
it might be that its the General conference that has gone wrong just like it was in the days of Christ the Sanhedrin (GC) of that time did not as a body discern truth for their time.
The shepherd's rod message is the message where God has made known to us the truth of the 144000 and the truth of God's kingdom.
You have rightly stated the character of the 144,000 but not whether the number is literal or symbolic.
For me I think the number is symbolic, but my reasons are whole discussions for another day.

Why I believe it is symbolic of the Church: The New Jerusalem (the City of God that comes down from heaven to the new earth) has 12 gates with the names of the 144,000 listed (12,000 per gate). This does not mean only 12,000 of each of the 12 tribes of Israel will be in the Holy City. We must look at and believe Romans 11, that the Gentiles were grafted in to the cultivated olive tree, as One New Man. As far as them being Virgins or undefiled with women, we must remember the parable of the 10 Virgins (the Church). "Women" (as in the Bride of Christ or the Woman who rides the beast) represent the false churches or false Church. The True Church (Virgin) is undefiled with these "women."
Likewise, the "two witnesses" are the "two olive trees and the two lampstands", yet we don't have four witnesses. It takes two witnesses to establish the Truth, as you stated. If the seven (whole) lampstands (aka the Menorah) are the seven (whole) churches, the two witnesses are the two lampstands, as well. They are symbolic of the Church. Some say the church isn't mentioned past Rev 3, but they are: the two lampstands.
The Number is literal. We just have to study to know the truth.
But consider the rest of the writing within which the topic is found. Everything around the topic is symbolic! Why would the subject be literal?
It's literal because if it was symbolic the Bible would interpret itself on this issue not leave us guessing this number is about a certain group of people not everyone that is in the kingdom will be in this number that doesn't mean they are less important
I fill taking it to be literal, twists the "the Bible, context pattern". Anyway may the Lord lead us, as we strive towards righteousness, submission and acknowledge our hopelessness. Hoping to see you in heaven. Pastor Randy has been the instrument the Lord used to help me get baptized.
Understanding the character of this group is so very important and understand that the number is literal is of great importance also. In Revelation 7 after speaking about the 144,000 the bible speaks about a great multitude that no one can number. Two different groups one numbered the other without number.

Thank you for this video... I believe we see two distinctly separate groups of 144,000 in the book of Revelation...
The first group, in Revelation 7:4-8, are the Jews/Israelites who will cry out "Baruch Haba B'Shem Adonai" at the return of Christ, including the 1/3 refined by fire:
Zechariah 13:9 "And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The LORD is my God.'"
They are sealed for protection before the wrath of the Lamb unfolds:
Revelation 9:1-4 "And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. 2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. 3 Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads."
In Revelation 12 this group is described as a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She will be supernaturally protected:
Revelation 12:6 "and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days."
Revelation 12:14 "But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time."
The second group, in Revelation 14:1-5, are the glorified saints of God, the redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb. This passage is the fulfillment of the vision in Hebrews 12:22-24, the "firstborn who are enrolled in heaven," to God, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant.
1. Both passages describe a scene on Mount Zion, in the heavenly Jerusalem.
2. Both passages picture the glorified/redeemed saints, firstborn/firstfruits in heaven.
3. Both groups are to/for God and Jesus/the Lamb.
I believe this same group is previously identified in Revelation 1:5-6; 5:9; and 7:9-17, a kingdom of priests ransomed by the blood of the Lamb from every tribe and language and people and nation, resurrected and raptured out of the great tribulation.

The book of Revelation has many mystery's; thus...many debates and arguments have ensued, as a result. So Sad. But that is the way satan wants it. Worse: The book of Rev, is not the only book that causes untold debates and arguments. Thus, we have many different "churches, denominations and dogmas, etc"; all over the world. Again, So Sad. I am sure Jesus does NOT condone this satan-led, Godless, debauchery. Thus...
...having been a "Born Again" Christian for 83 yrs (89 now); the question about the "144,000" bugged me; and any answer I got; just didn't seem plausible to me. But this all changed when I finally got on my knees (age 75); and prayed my heart out; that Jesus would give me wisdom, understanding and the truth. Within weeks I began to see things I had never thought about. Etc.
That was 14 yrs ago; and I will give my take on this mysterious "question". I believe they are chosen by Jesus; BEFORE the "Great Tribulation" begins. They are ALL men. And Jesus gives them ONE goal. That is to preach the TRUE Gospel "message"; up an to, the last person that will have become Born Again, on this planet.
(Note: when a person sincerely "believes IN Jesus"; and worships ONLY Him as their "God Almighty"; and the Holy Spirit gives them a 2nd birth ["spiritual"]; they become a part of Jesus' Kingdom forever. AMEN!)
When the "Goal" is fulfilled (3 and 1/2 yrs into the GT), the 144,000 will be killed. But ONLY for 3 and 1/2 days. Then they will be resurrected by Jesus. AND that will bring about, the "Calling Up" ("Rapture"); of EVERY (dead and alive) Born Again persons, since creation; and they will meet Jesus in the sky. Then He will take us to the Old Heaven. NOT the New Heaven. That comes about later. So...
...This is my take. Could I be wrong? ABSOLUTELY Yes!, But all others could be wrong too!

They are 12,000 Jews each from the 12 tribes of Israel = 144,000. Twelve is symbolic through scripture. They are the ones who convert to Christ during the Tribulation period, spread the Gospel to their people and God keeps them protected from the judgement being poured out.
The 144,000 are Gods elect. The sealing is visible and protects the elect of Israel during the tribulation, marking them off as the worshippers of the true God.
Verse 5-8 of Revelation 7 foretells a literal sealing of a literal number of people taken from these tribes of Israel. No Jew now knows for certain his tribe, but the Divine sealers know. 144,000 are set apart for Gods purposes. Dan and Ephraim are omitted, Levi and Joseph taking their places.
And who could understand anything coming from this man’s mouth? He speaks so fast how could anyone know what he was saying? I couldn’t! But I have truth to who the 144,000 are.
One thing I’m concerned about is that I think the 144 will most likely be killed at the end of the tribulation and be resurrected to stand before the throne as the FIRST-FRUIT.
The messiah became what Paul describes in 1st Corinthians as “the First Fruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20). In connection with the Old Testament, this word was used for the sacrificial offering of firstfruits. In daily life it was also used for an entrance fee.
The messiah was the firstfruits of our resurrection in both ways. In the Old Testament, the offering of firstfruits brought one bundle of grain to represent and to anticipate the entire of the harvest (Leviticus 23:9-14). The resurrection of the messiah represents our resurrection, because if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection (Romans 6:5). The resurrection of the messiah anticipates our resurrection, because we will be raised with a body like His. I think the 144 might be killed in the 6th trumpet not by Yah because of the seal of protection from Yahs judgment. I think they will be killed in the war and then will experience the throne judgement then to the lamb in Mount Zion before the Great multitude can experience resurrection.
“When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, ‘How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?’ Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow SERVANTS and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed” (Revelation 6:9-11).
“Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the SERVANTS of our God in their foreheads.” -Revelation 7:3
Now the word “SERVANT” is used for the 144 and the 1st verse states they need to be killed as the great multitude. Now I do believe that as the seals being to open, the other nations that believe by faith (great multitude) that are not Israel or the 144 will be killed. 98% of them if not all. The 144 will be the only elect on earth at that time with a mark. The mark of Yah against the mark of the Beast. The 5th trumpet says that the locust will it harm those with the seal of Yah only the those with the beast mark. Since the 144 will be the only one with the seal, that means all true believers in Yah is dead at this point. The 144 will be kept in the wilderness which the verse commands that the locust should not go to the wilderness. The 144 will most like live through the 1-5 seals/trumpet, but at the 6th idk. They might come back as the army of Yahs locust in JOEL 2 with spiritual bodies and start destroying things.
if the 144,000 are this perfect within the context of their own character, then they clearly don't need Yashua!!!????!!!! ...but revelation 14 says that they were REDEEMED from among men. Please take the time to research the meaning of the word REDEEMED in Hebrew and Greek. The 144,000 are chosen based upon Yah's decree and will and Yah's will alone. By His Grace, not of works least any should boast. And..... for the record I graduated from Oakwood university with a Masters in theological studies. I was anointed by E.E. Cleveland at his request in the presents of two witnesses. He informed me that the most high had His hand upon me. I was mentored by Walter Pearson and T Marshall Kelly. I love the Adventist people, but I detest their doctrine and I thank the Most High Yah for deliverance from that cult.
I know this will be offensive to most Adventist, Hence I apologize in advance... not too Adventist but the true bloodline Israelites that have been blinded by the lies of the overseers of the transatlantic slavery.
