Hello, I'm always looking forward to your videos. I love your relaxed style of enjoying amateur radio. Please continue to enjoy yourselves together. It's a wonderful amateur radio life.
We are having a great time learning from each other and doing activations together!! Appreciate your comment and although the nerves are still there, it's really nice to have a support person next to you 🙂 73, de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
Thanks Alan! Glad you were able to hunt us when out of town. We enjoy hunting when on trips as well. One of us hunts and the other drives 🙂 Hope to hear you on the air again soon! 73, de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
@@HamRadioDuo Glad to work you! FYI - the dah-di-di-dah-dit dah-dah that I sent after my call (the first time) was me signing as W2AEW/M for mobile. Sorry you confused my last letter because of that. Best of luck with your future activations and hunting! 72!
Thank you Mike! We are really having fun learning CW and getting on the air. It's always interesting to find out what's on the other end of an exchange and that is one reason we enjoy making and sharing the videos. Hope you catch you on the air again! 73 de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
Thanks again for joining us 🙂 Comfort level on the straight key (for now) is easier but we understand speed will improve on the paddle as we use it more! de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
Thanks Mike! Hope you end up with a lot of saltwater magic this weekend! We will keep an eye out for your activations. 73, de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
Thanks Forrest! We are both doing more with a paddle now, but the straight key is definitely a safety net for me :-) I like the simplicity of it and it doesn't tax my brain as much as the paddle because it is so different. Most likely I will keep doing the straight key at least some of the time! Thanks for hunting and getting out there for us and others to hunt as well! 73, de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
thanks for sharing - you folks wanna have sum fun ?? do like we do in the north - only the radio cause we have no cell or spot page or such - gets real interesting lol 73
Thank you! We both are enjoying learning CW together and love to hear when we can help and inspire others to learn and get on the air! 73, de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
Hi Both, another excellent video. Do you not have the CW decoder switched on with the QMX for added back up? I still struggle with H & 4 🙂73 Phil G0BVD
Thank you Phil!! We try the best we can to copy without using a decoder. When we rely on it, it's almost like our brains shut off because we know it's there 🙂. As a "what was that??" moment it's there, but sometimes it misses things too... HIHI!!! de Becky and Michael (N4BKY / N4FFF)
How close do you have to be to get salt water magic?
