For warrior tank though i bet the stuff wont hit that hard and we can just go really more dps gear. also, for runes atleast for phase 1 i just used dps runes and talents basically with small changes. but for phase 2 i could see warrior tanks go deeper prot to pick up the reduced sunder cost and the 10% dmg and shield slam as the devastate rune is so strong for dmg. but other runes things like consumed by rage and raging blow will likely still be used imo just to pump out more dmg and threat. it's nice being the tank and doing top dmg in phase 1 in the raid would like to keep that up
For the Fury build would Flagellation not be better than Raging Blow? You could use bloodrage and berserker rage to get a 25% damage increase for 20 seconds on top of Consumed By Rage which is 10% and SIngle Minded Fury for another 10%.
No way warrior tank will focus on full mitigation over maximum threat output. I'm sure the best tank build for Gnomer will be arms with 5 points in cruelty.
Good to note that the dps difference between the 2h epic axe(bis) and the 2h epic mace from pvp event is very small. Both have about the same average weapon dmg, only difference is the speed but since the dmg range is the same windfury, deep wounds wouldn't gain a significant benefit. The only difference is the extra 4 dps average from faster speed on axe and if you are going arms the 5% crit from axe spec vs literally no pve bonus for maces. But the mace should be about even as 2h fury, if not a tiny bit worse.
From a 99 logging warrior, this guide is flawed... 20% attackspeed rune is NOT the option, I know that the enrage rune 20% at 80 rage will keep on delivering, coupled with free-on-procc Slam rune, and 3/3 heroic strike instead of charge. I believe quickstrike will stop be viable due too cooldowns such as mortal strike, whirlwind and slam is going to be better value, and 25% extra rage could be meta instead of quickstrike.
Surely having a free cast of slam that is also instant, is better than having just an instant slam? I am not sure where everyone is getting all their rage from as I cant see having more rage costing abilities working
Why would you ever use precise Timing rune over -3 Rage as a Tank and could have a 9 rage devastate that does the same amount of damage as the Slam with 15 rage costs?
i made some sims. there are many errors in your gear and rune stuff. arms will be best dps anyway, fury is like 250 dps behind if bleed works and 120 dps if bleed doesn't work. i don't know why u take raging blow and no consumed by rage, that makes 0 sense. but on chest u want flagellation anyway and on legs the increased 2handed speed. u use the rune with slam on proc and u'll sim with bis gear around 780 dps avg on a top end of 1k dps.
Worst guide ever, warriors using this arms build will have no rage to spend on the 6 main abilities with them doing 25% less damage most of the time. Don't follow this and ruin your warrior experience.

@@Frostadamus ya i compared what i know the stats to be on the new set assuming that is the most up to date datamined version. leather set has 38 str, 30 agi, 1% crit, 1% hit. The plate set has 37 str, 11 agi, 2% hit, 16 attack power. overall plate set does come out with overall more attack power from the setbonus AP at the cost of some agi which would increase our crit some. but, plate set also has 1% hit more which i would put more value on over 1% crit. It would be nice if the leg and boots of the plate set could get a small amount of agi added on to them like 3 on boots and 5 on legs.
Big fan of you frost but there’s just a lot of stuff wrong here, warriors will be going lw and engi for bis items, dw fury is bis and you’ll be using 2 piece of the leather gear, I would recommend checking fight club before making warrior videos like this otherwise you’ll be ripped by any warrior player with half a ban
I would say arms 2h. Gonna be progressive and nice. Big Cleaves and Windfury hits. Big overpowers and also huge bleeds.Tactical mastery is gonna be cool for when you get new stance + whirlwind(last 4 levels). But sweeping strikes comes at level 31 which is gonna be HUGE!
@@Frostadamus only issue i have is that it might take too long to get cleaves off when mobs die too quick ... im full bis warr and so are the other people in the party ... wouldnt fury be better to cleave more reliantly?

It seems like people are less likely to play a pure tank spec. And based on the recent changes, healers might just play DPS also. Some classes are just straight up broken. Just watch the new mutilate rogue :_) I guess this is the fun of season of discovery. Don;t think this is classic wow, but an experiment.
yeah but that's a weapon not a build ^^. 2h shamans got one passive rune, that's it. Hunters, which are a ranged class are already better in melee than shamans which have an entire tree for melee, I just don't understand wtf they're doing, like they're definitely not playing shamans in the dev team ^^. i guess i will play pally since they will be ridiculous and i wanna play 2h hybrid. I always thought it was 100%. On the website i'm using it's showing 60%. Blizzard will try to make people play the correct spec rather than Arms warrior tanks.

Yes LW is bis. I think I've said that in the clip. I'm still coping that blizzard will change the stats a bit. So we can actually have plate wearers using blacksmith. You know... for the role play value :D Also so far I think Leather Chest and Pants are also BiS. Keep in mind that items are not in their final form. Even the devs said that.
I would love to see someone try to make 2 handed sword arms viable using all the attack speed buffs we have in SOD2 should make the proc happen more often per fight. I think this could be decent for pvp if not comprable to axe at least usable. I know its not BIS but I want to see someone build it anyway.

Flagellation is better yes, even more so with the Raging Blow nerf.
Flag is def better for both i think, but we'll have to see. At 40 we have more buttons to press so may not need raging blow.

Yes LW is bis. I think I've said that in the clip. I'm still coping that blizzard will change the stats a bit. So we can actually have plate wearers using blacksmith. You know... for the role play value :D
Also so far I think Leather Chest and Pants are also BiS.
Keep in mind that items are not in their final form. Even the devs said that.
I would love to see someone try to make 2 handed sword arms viable using all the attack speed buffs we have in SOD2 should make the proc happen more often per fight. I think this could be decent for pvp if not comprable to axe at least usable. I know its not BIS but I want to see someone build it anyway.
