Yay a video! I've saved a market bag pattern and attempted before but the handles didn't come out quite right. So glad this video just just popped up for me to try again and follow along!!! These will make great gifts at Christmas
Re the handles, you K20, CO 88, then how exactly do you K20 again? Do you turn the work? It would really help to see the rest of the process with the 2nd knit and cast on. It's probably really simple, but just not happening.
Thanks a lot for sharing your videos. I am a teenager and I always loved knitting. I just know the basic stuff and I am starting to learn a lot from you. So, thank you very much.
Thanks for this pattern. I made it in an inexpensive acrylic yarn and it's super stretchy. I found the handle length was much better with 44 CO sts. Instead of 88.
Hey…love the granite stitch! I’m curious if you could cast on the first row, then pick up cast on edge so you don’t have to mattress stitch at the end. Thank you so much for sharing!
thanks for the lovely tutorial! l am missing 1 stitch in Row 2 of the lace mesh stitch but I can't seem to find any laddering that shows where the dropped stitch is. Can I simply add 1 stitch at the end to fix this,? how will that affect the pattern?
I would love to try this Would it be possible to make this on Two Long Straight Needles And also can I use any Double Knit Wool Just Love how you explain everything and what you do Thankyou so much x
You won't be able to knit a bag on straight needles, you will require circular to knit a tube for the bag. So for this particular project, circular needles are the way to go...
This all seemed to work out til I got to the handles. If anyone could offer some advice, I would greatly appreciate it. The video shows Knit 20, then turn the work and do the cast on, but it doesn't really explain how you do the next knit 20. I cannot for the life of me get this to work. The needles are so tight I can't do the 2nd cast on. AAARGH!

@@schwarty6 Yes, seeing how the handles are knitted in video is really helpful to understanding the knitting instructions. Have fun with it!
Can you have different wool options and I knit on straight needles for a beginner x

This may just be the project that gets me picking up my needles & hooks again after a 3yr break. 😁

Superb
I would love to try this
Would it be possible to make this on Two Long Straight Needles And also can I use any Double Knit Wool
Just Love how you explain everything and what you do Thankyou so much x
Yes, I'd also like to know if you can change the wool, thank you
Pretty sure you can use just about any yarn with appropriately corresponding needles...

Is it possible to add on more stitches?
