I love when a character starts one way at the start and then by your final draft they sometimes completely go in a completely opposite direction

The best part of the edit is the beginning, when you're still super excited about it 😅😂 So really lean into that! What keeps me going is reminding myself that every subsequent draft is going to be the best version of the story yet. Again, I am endlessly excited to read BTW when it releases to the world!

it's definitely something to learn more about! Since I've been studying novel writing I've definitely started to realize that there are so many small things like this that make such a big difference
