  • Even though 4K Blu-Ray has been around for a while now, there are still plenty of Brilliant Movies that have not made their way onto the format. So today I want to present some Great Films that don't have a 4K treatment that really do deserve it.

Wishful thinking but I would DIE if Speed Racer (2008) got a 4K release. It’s such a beautiful movie that didn’t get what it deserved. If fellow box office bomb Scott Pilgrim can get a 4K release, why not Speed Racer?

We also need Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and El Camino on 4K Blu-Ray

The issue with Kill Bill is that despite being shot on film, it was scanned, edited, and rendered at only 2K. In order to have a native 4K presentation, they would have to rescan and completely re-edit the movie back together again which would take a lot of time and money. The same is actually true for Grindhouse and Inglorious Bastards. That’s why IG has a 4K Blu-ray that is just a 2K upscale.
Django Unchained was finished at 4K, Jackie Brown and The Hateful Eight were edited on film, so if any of those movies get a 4K release in the future, they will be native 4K scans.

Interesting, honestly still surprised to see that The Hateful Eight doesn't have a 4K release either.

@@BraveBladeProductions as far as I know, the rights are still tied up with The Weinstein Company. That’s why a lot of Tarantino’s films aren’t being released.

Well for me I'd want Transporter 1 and 2 on 4K to complete the Jason Statham trilogy but I think there are atleast 100 TV Show's that deserve 4K UHD box set's and film's but alot of them will remain as dreams until they don't but who knows what will happen in the future

Great picks and yeah it usually takes a lot to get TV Shows on 4K Blu-Ray.
