If you work in the accounting industry, you cannot have a conflict of interest when working on a client's taxes. You have to disclose if you have any investments in the potential client, and you most likely will not be able to work on that client's projects. Why doesn't congress have the same laws applied to them.

its all so easy to see the conflict of interest and even probably insider trading issues, but ethics doesn't mean anything if there isn't a criminal law attachment to it and a DOJ that will do something with it. Probably won't

You don't think they will find ways around it they will just trade stock ideas with people in others departments no trade at all if you work for the government and get benefits and retirement that's it
