Eagle is as cold as they come. First tourney back after injury, mic’d up for the final round against the 5 time defending champ and goat of the sport and he has no forehand. Eagle then throws lefty and righty darts for 18 holes to take down the Beast and McBeast…. INCREDIBLE.
@@djnemesis69 It's honestly one of the greatest wins in history. The names he beat by 25+ strokes, coming into the tournament very questionable, certainly not a favorite fresh off another injury. Arguably having the best flick in the world and not using it one time. It's up there as one of the greatest performances ever in my opinion. I'm just saying, the ONE lefty shot per round was fun but shouldn't be the focus.
Such a relaxing video, no commentary just a guy playing 18 holes of discgolf. And what a round, every shot almost is buttery smooth, pinned on a perfect line. He didn’t even have to make that many long putts, but boy is he dialed on the green. Congrats Eagle, thanks for playing!
Congrations Eagle, can't wait to see you bring this level of play to Worlds. discmania is having a hell of a year. the return of Eagle and Simon and to winning form.
Is there a way we can get a tournament "In the bag"? It would be great to see how the pros change their bag up for new discs/tourney challenges. It would also be great to see how Eagle has altered his bag to accommodate a primarily backhand style of play.
considering the manufacturers seem incapable of releasing an in the bag within 4 months of it being filmed (seriously, check the courses they're at during filming, usually it's an event that happened months previously) I highly doubt this will happen.
This showdown between McBeth and McMahon is so epic!! This event with great commentary is exactly what the sport needs the masses to see. It was nail biting, edge of your seat excitement from start to finish!! Please for the love of the sport allow post coverage!!! If you want discmania to be a legend forever please make next years tournament be broadcasted on any and all platforms!! Open the doors for this sport to blow up!!!!
The only thing missing from these videos is the distance of the hole, the score and the type of disc being thrown on each shot. Definitely worth the time invested in watching. Thank you.
I could feel the emotion coming thru the screen after eagle made the last putt. Must've been an incredible release when he had finally beaten mcbeth. Such a badass performance.
Man, the amount of growth we've seen from Eagle in just a few shorts years is amazing. I remember having a conversation with a friend a few years ago about how we didn't like Eagle because of his attitude and how he presented himself on coverage. It's amazing to see the difference now. This is the guy who broke his hand punching the ground after a bad shot a while back. Now we see OB throws or chain outs that could easily cost him the whole tournament but he keeps pushing forward and keeps executing shots. Awesome work, Eagle!
It would be nice to see a running total of his score as the round progressed. Especially against the top card. Hard to keep track of where things stand and the drama of the shots. And his words at the end of the round were meaningful, and cut off in the highlights coverage from the pdgt.
I'd love to see a version of this where they give some basic commentary on their mindset during the round, why they pick certain shots, etc. Kind of a tournament mindset kind of video.
Still can't belive that he did that without a single forehand shot. I mean it's not like he is throwing backhand only for years like Conrad or MJ (almost)
Wow, this is the best coverage of the final round of one of the biggest wins in a major in disc golf history which isn't behind a paywall. Growing The Sport (TM)🙄 But thanks to Discmania.
Love the content. One thing that would elevate it even more for me would be some form slow motion, especially of stuff that's not traditional drives; like rollers, upshots or even long putts.
Love the "All The Shots" videos, what would make them even better though were if you included infographics of the holes, informing the viewer if it's a Par 3/4/5 & how far the hole is. A bonus would be if you could include which disc is being thrown.
I remember going to the 2015 Ledgestone Insurance Open players party and me and a friend were drinking with Paige Pierces dad and he told us, “there’s this young guy Eagle from Colorado and he’s gonna be the next big thing” didn’t even know who he was at that time but he sure came a long way.
Just started playing at the ripe old age of 58, with my two lads, 34 and 13, only have a putting course near us but very challenging with trees all around, just bought our own putting discs, but I’m afraid I’m too old to get anywhere near your talent eagle 😂
Thanks man...the only coverage i can afford is free..dgpt needs to know charging for even post coverage will loose them fan's..what happened to growing the sport, the add money is not enough..
The number template seems a bit off in the contexts of raw shots. The number transition would be better as just a normal cut and have the hole number show in one of the corners, or have the hole number as a transparent overlay on top of some b-roll etc. Otherwise great!
Can someone explain to me how hole 16 wasn’t a bogey for Eagle? 1st throw is in bounds, 2nd throw is OB. So the “third throw” would be the 4th stroke, and then the putt is for 5? Hole 16 is a par 4?
On this specific hole you don't take a stroke after missing the island. So you can throw the tee shot, then throw ob, then make the island and have a par.
Great content, suggestion for the future would be to have the player (or another DiscMania pro) do commentary on top to explain what goes into planning and executing the lines we're seeing
All of y’all’s coverage is from in front of the disc. Would love to see behind the player as we would actually see the basket and understand where he’s trying to throw

It was incredible but jesus he threw lefty ONE time every day. Lefty backhand isn't exactly hard either
@@JoeReptilian Kinda seemed that way, but he didn't (whack his hand on the tree): ruclips.net/video/MPWg-X7q8xs/видео.html
@@pigs6486 There were plenty of other times he had to throw turn over shots when a side arm would have been much easier for him.

Love this format. Love how the crowd doesn’t give sympathy applause. Love how you hear KJ giving Eagle compliments and encouragement. Great post.
Absolutely here for this disc golf without any commentary and just the sounds of the crowd and the game. Thank you. 👏👌😎

It would also be great to see how Eagle has altered his bag to accommodate a primarily backhand style of play.
this!
Yeah maybe Eagle used some understable discs for the first time 😂 instead of turning pd2’s over.

mcbeth clearly lost his touch, he underperformed this tournament. he lost to an injured off hand thrower. sponsor should abandon him

Thanks Jussi for the amazing, innovative content.

Keep on dreamin, Eagle. Disc golf needs you.
What a beautiful illustration of composure. When he got that huge tree kick and perfectly recovered? Champion play! Congratulations!

the commentary could be a voice over that was done afterwards, if it was not obvious.
