Vivien, sincere condolences on your loss. I still grieve my guy, 5 1/2 years later. I'm glad that Sherpa helps you - and I assume you watch Key, too? You might also enjoy a Korean dog named "Sawol" - she, too has a wonderful and amusing personailty. And, if you are interested and "open", you might find the vids of "Brent Atwater" hepful. She is an animal communicator & medium, and assists with their passing/ transitions. She helped me a lot after I lost my guy. All best wishes! ❤

My Jack Russell Milo died 12 years ago this Christmas, age 17, pushing 18. It broke my heart when I had to make that awful decision to let him go. Not that it was a choice. No way could I have let him suffer. He always makes me smile, even now, when I think of him. He was always playful yet gentle, loved a cuddle, hates seeing anyone sad. Milo was fantastic with other animals too. He had feline siblings, one cat being his 'twin' at only a month younger. They truly were brothers. When I got my Kit (see left) they simply adored her. Both would protect their little sister if an unfriendly cat ventured into the garden. Milo & Kit would sit facing each other & having actual, genuine conversations with each other! They'd last for some time too! I've never seen any other cat or dog so that so intensely. It wasn't out of the ordinary to find Milo sleeping on the floor after Simba had a play fight with him for his bed, with Kit snuggled up with him.
@@tomboychick it sounds very sweet and that they had great lives with you. Some dogs you just carry with you though, no matter how much time passes.

Phew! I was really worried that my dog's rules sign had gotten lost in the post!! Like I said in my letter, I'd love to meet, and I'm sure if my brother-in-law is free, or sister, then they'll let you have a snoop of their yacht Gusto (I emailed you a photo of her moored up at Southwold). Sarah too, of course! Plus, my inheritance is tied up in it, so emotional blackmail works too (cue evil laughter: heeheehee!).

@@SherpasDay You were talking about coming around the Pond. I have been watching this couple Kara and Nate who traveled to 100 countries. When Covid hit, they got a sprinter van and traveled to 50 states. It was fun watching them travel to 100 countries(I binged watch that, then 50 states) Now I am all caught up, and they just went to the North Pole. I found all this on RUclips, it was so cool to watch. If you come here, you could rent a van, and do the same thing. Just a thought.

I can't blame the librarian for choosing that book. It's awwdorable and really beautiful. My sister bought both books and we read them to our cats. No children except the four legged type. Both of them loved the stories as we did too.

If you hire a barge you could do a mini holiday with Jodie/K'ey/Sarah maybe, so there are multiple hoomans on board plus K'ey and Sherpa on board a boat together would be amazing
He can't. Not on his own anyway, in case he has an accident or medical emergency. It's regulation. The regs were recently strengthened as a result of a handful of deaths on The Broads, that may (I stress may, as you can't say for certain) have been preventable. Or given you a fighting chance at survival anyway. And all these instances happened with 2 or more people hiring a boat, & all unfamiliar with the waterways & boats. My brother-in-law works for one firm, so I've offered Jamie to hire one with me as I can get discount being family. He & my sister also own a small yacht that they bought using our inheritance from our gran when she died. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to have Jamie & Sherpa on board. I'm so curious to see what Sherpa makes of it! And not just the boat, but walking on the pontoon, bobbing & moving on the water, under your feet!
