The way I understand Egalitarianism and Equality, it requires no mention of universal human commonality or any statement of human nature of our own destiny. The equality in egalitarianism is not found in some quality, essence or trait everyone shares. We are all tremendously different yet so similar in many other aspects.
There is no need to try and define all the similarities or differences. They mostly don't matter. The only things that matter are qualities and actions that determine our functions, desires and needs as well as those that have a moral aspect to them. That is to say; Differences or similarities could be important when determining how to treat someone right, but only qualities or actions that are moral or immoral should be judged to have a moral value.
The colour of our skin does not impact us or others in negative ways from a moral standpoint, so we shouldn't judge someone based on the colour of their skin. On the other side, people with a different skin colour to our own might need different medical advice, particularly when it comes to the risk of sunburns. It is okay to point out differences when they matter, but we may only judge someone for their actions or professed beliefs, and not on inalienable and immutable traits of who they are, especially those they didn't pick for themselves.
TL;DR Egalitarianism is really just a chill ambivalent attitude of 'live and let live' except for when someone's qualities or actions legitimately deserve to be pointed out and treated accordingly. Some need more help than most, others have done something bad and need to be judged. When some quality is not judged to carry a moral value no matter the person we're assessing, *that* is equality, as opposed to everyone being judged morally and judged to have the same value, which obviously isn't correct.

Based on my comprehension of the video in question, is it not inaccurate to assert that perspective? You and I possess a fundamental characteristic: our humanity. This attribute confers certain advantages that one would not experience as a member of a different species, such as a squirrel.
Furthermore, the designation of being a "law-abiding citizen" ensures that you are afforded equitable treatment and that specific rights are preserved, in contrast to individuals who may engage in criminal behavior.
While we may exhibit differences, it is our shared attributes that underpin our equality within the framework of egalitarian principles, would you not agree?
True equality cannot exist in the absence of commonality.

Egalitarianism is the New Age that humanity will step into soon. The 5th dimension.
We are very lucky to be alive on this marvellous planet, at this magnificent time. Don't fear as the old world dies and collapses all around us.

Hey! I know it's late but mo. Marxism focuses a lot more on the economical side of things and social classes, while egalitarianism is more holistic.
Marxism also advocates for abolishing private property and redistribution of wealth. Egalitarianism doesn't.
      Basically Marxism says:
Ok there's gonna be a race, and everyone gets the same shoes and is not allowed to run faster than the people to their right or left. Also, we as a society decides that everyone wins, no government.
      While Egalitarianism goes more like:
Ok there's a race coming, everyone gets the same levwl of trainer, if you are lacking a foot or a leg, the state an society will contribute so that you can get a prostetic, also a specoalized coach if needed, but once rhe race starts, everyone is allowed to give it their all to win. However, winning does NOT mean that you're getting any more priviledges than the other competitors since you're still just another human being.
      Hope that made sense!

That’s the thing, if you’re selfish, you don’t deserve freedom, anyone who is unselfish would not be happy with being rich if there was desperately poor people struggling to survive in the very same country as them, therefore they would be willing to sacrifice their freedom to be handsomely wealthy to ensure others have the same stability that they have. I would gladly sacrifice my wealth to make sure no one ever has to die of hunger or thirst anymore, I would also sacrifice my wealth to make sure people don’t have to experience homelessness (as I’ve been homeless before and that’s a feeling I don’t wish on too many), war, being unable to live longer due to not having the money to pay for medical care, or even being reduced to ignorance due to not having the money to pay for a quality education. Only reason communism has not worked completely yet is because many experiments had no foresight of the fact that the Industrial Revolution had not fully been completed yet as they didn’t foresee the digital age coming into fruition, and Karl Marx made it explicitly clear that capitalism should be utilized to COMPLETELY industrialize your country’s economy, however when many of the world’s first socialist experiments came about, the Industrial Revolution was just kicking off and many industries just weren’t unable to create sufficient enough capital to sustain the entire population and that’s because the Industrial Revolution had another part of it that hadn’t jumped off yet, and that’s the digital part of the Industrial Revolution, with that, you can robotize and digitize every industry making these industries more productive which builds more capital for the population to be able to live comfortably and not impoverished as we’ve seen in many other communist experiments, however communism should never be fully implemented until generally every industry is robotized and digitized to the point where it begins taking people’s jobs, that way when people lose their jobs, they don’t go ballistic over not being able to feed their families and take care of themselves, they’re able to maintain a healthy standard of living.

Good attempt christian, the world is made up of millions of people who are NOT like you.
however the use of commonality in an equalists mind is without commonality.
The issue here is the break up of Equality thinking. We don't need a commonalty if we just accept that some people are the way they are.
Equality = That all persons are created differently and not everyone is the same however we all have but one stomach with Kindness and Generosity.
You can't just break up a word like equality and pretend it doesn't exist.
The church is NOT equality it's a hierarchy, people below and gods above and middle management in between making shit up as they go, yuk who wants that.

By equality they speak of petty laws which cause more strife than harm for instance a man making liquor illegal 1 man telling another man he can’t drink what he wants therefor making himself superior and not equal the human spirit desires freedom and does what it wants thus making a whole underground illegal trade out of something a man should have freedom to make his own choice doing forcing the prohibition caused countless lives and a war on alcohol that after years politicians decide caused more harm than good thus legalizing alcohol and removing a petty law which shouldn’t be there in the first place to be truly egalitarian it means to first take care of nature above all things and to treat your neighbors as you want your neighbors to treat you but the morality of a people have to be high like the hadza people of Africa this is how they live no man can say there’s an imaginary border you can cross this line no man can say take this vax this is what makes us unequal because a class of humans think they can tell humans what to do and there protected on the dark side by clones aka (order followers) people who believe so much that the order of a man to take another man’s life justifies his chance to kill another this is why Putin is able to wage war people under a spell clones I might say believe in his authority acting as one body to serve Putin he feels like God this causing more harm than humans would do to themselves had they been a free people with no leader every great massacre of man kind was held by a leader egalitarian tribe are actually quite peaceful just look them up they still exist

While that may be good advice, it still leaves me thinking: Are you aware that equal means 'the same'? And here you are saying that it means 'different' which is the opposite.

    • @iwal1645
      @iwal1645 2 года назад +2

@@Mathiasda Equality is not about me, it's about understanding that everyone is different, that's the equality.
Realizing that not everyone is like you or wants to be like you. If you understand this by talking to people that are not like you, who doesn't have the same views, and some don't understand how you are, it makes it much easier to just live your own life and focus on the people who you should care about.
Equality has many differences, some folks just watch everyone around them getting ahead and become Jealous and ether want to be like that person, however if you focus on just you and your loved ones, why would it matter, we all can't be equal but we can be equal and different all at the same time, and see those differences as an opportunity to become their better selves. Or you could just not care and like your life.
