Welcome back! Today in the water deep I start tracking down other lifepods and gather the resources to build the most basic of start bases. This is all going to take a lot of materials and will wipe me out no doubt. With any luck though you'll learn a few things about getting enough titanium, quartz, and copper together so you no longer have to live in a one room lifepod that never stops moving across the waves!

I remember my first solar panel-laden tube in the Safe Shallows. One of the most satisfying things about Subnautica is gradually acquiring more base amenities and expansions.

I'm definitely using that quad base structure! My "base" at the moment is just a tube, with lockers on either side. That looks more convenient, functionally better with more space inside, and more aesthetically pleasing. Can't wait to find that multi-purpose room blueprint.

Funfact: You can build the hatch into the square panel on top of the X-Compartments (where you were placing your solar panels) instead of on one of the alcoves, allowing you to dedicate all 8 alcoves to storage and utilities.

I love making my base in the red grass biome, while the safe shallows are pretty, the sounds from the manatee-looking things just get on my nerves. I much rather live near the reefbacks.
