Another Chicago artist is Alex Wiley. He's made a track with Mick Jenkins called Automatic and has a lot of songs with relaxing vibes and slick lyricism. He's similar to Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa, other Chicago artists I think you guys would love.
Mick Jenkins is among the Top Tier in the up-and-coming list. He first displayed his MC ability in Ps & Qs which was amazing and now just how he shows is lyrical ability over the well produced beat is incredible. Loving the progression I'm seeing from song to song and the wisdom within his writing which shows true promise and growth in the game. Good looks on this Reaction Lost In Vegas !!
1) I love when you break down all the tough shit when pausing, keep doing it 2)Mick is a beast 3) I smile the whole time when I expect y'all to love who I love 4)next mick song should be 514 or jazz or Jerome. And we need joey badass and earl sweatshirt still lol 5)no more mo3 chances😂
Yes! Another Mick Jenkins reaction. Found you guys' channel not too long ago and I'm loving the content. You guys are actually giving substantial thought on what you're reacting to unlike A LOT of other reaction channels
To play devil's advocate, these types of artists will never be at the forefront because they are actually speaking and not promoting death and drugs. We have to wake up and realize that our culture has been compromised. We have more junkies than scholars. Shit is wild
Jordan Clemons I realize this isn't exactly the same type of music, but look at Twenty One Pilots. They've managed to become a success using elements of rap, folk, rock, reggae, even Elvis. They're 2 white Christian boys from Ohio that don't curse, and talk about depression and dealing/fighting with suicidal feeling.
This is wrong. It's because the song isn't catchy. It can has literally any meaning in the world, but has to be catchy for anybody to be in the forefront. In the end music is different from books or poetry, because it's music.
This is probably the song that made me a Mick Jenkins fan. Everytime i show someone this song, they dont get the point because they only hear the hook. This song is so bumpin.
Firstly I must say thanks for exposing this Mick Jenkins to me. He is truly a craftsman. I had a few of your reactions to metal come up in my recommendations. It's refreshing to see how open y'all are to music after going through your catalog. You both look genuinely engaged in the music as a whole, regardless of genre. No need to even think twice about subbing. Perhaps Iron Maiden could be of some good material. Or for some rockin' blues you can look into Stevie Ray Vaughan. Scuttlebuttin' has a beautiful lick that you'll both likely enjoy for a quick video.
It's also something to think about that the name of the song is martyrs. A martyr is someone killed because of thier beliefs, usually religious beliefs. Also I love yall's reactions man!
Mick is a monster love his stuff please do more of his. Also I think y'all would enjoy doing a Watsky reaction either Love Letters, Don't be Nice, or any of his theories songs on X Infinity. Y'all are awesome with passion and honesty along with concise analysis. Thank y'all!
“We are not on the same plateau Chateau de Chenonceau You just throwing shade in my shadow” Is a reference to a famous historian palace or chateau as the French say that over looks a villiage built on a plateau so the wordplay of that is insane just though you should know the wordplay he was spitting right there is insane
I know you guys haven't done a album (reaction/review) yet but I think "The Waters" deserves to be analyzed as a whole. Mick did his shit on that album and thats a unbiased real response haha but yea do the whole album its lyrical for y'all with the old man soul too. and if you read this fr I'm from Oside CA and I gotta support my local artist so GO PEEP John Givez he's next up all his music is crazy.
Congrats on 30k! You two truly deserve it. Also, I have one question, it's probably been asked before but, have you guys ever thought about making a song? 'Cause I'd buy that shit instantly.
Love you guys real reactions to videos and really pay attention to lyrics in every song!! I grew up in the 90's where you respect lyrics. React to Neyo- so sick..i think its his classic song and maybe react to his first entire ablum in my own words!!! I think he had some dope writing on there since he write all his own songs!
Great work guys i have been watching you guys for awhile now and really like everything you guys do when dissecting songs! I'm like you guys i like lyricism in songs so I'm gonna request some lyrical songs by my fav artist! logic - no biggie ( dope song with a beat i know you guys will like) logic - growing pains 2 logic - all Sinatra everything Drake - 5 am in Toronto ( lyrical for Drake standards ) Kendrick - sing about me j cole- lost ones ( not very lyrical but deep and somewhat lyrical) kendrick- art of peer pressure I know you guys can't react to all these but there just there to let you know what's the best representation of them and not them chill sorry songs people request from these artist! Also keep up the good work and congrats on 30k+ subscribers you deserve it!
Yo I dig what y’all doin 100%!! Mick Jenkins is fire as always. There’s a new cat up and coming named Aaron May. Check out “understood” or “let go”. I’m not sure if it’s his raspy voice or what it is, but he sounds like a young J Cole. Appreciate y’all
"Tryna find the meaning of life in corona til the 5 percenters rolled up on a nigga and informed em.you either build or destroy wherr you come from?" Wheeeeewwww fuking flames
Huge fan here guys. I really enjoy your guys break down of songs/freestyles/lyrics. Def one of the better reaction channels here on youtube. Also not sure if you guys mess with bay music at all but could you PLEASE do a reaction to SOB x RBE-Anti. Keep up the good work!
i really really don't like to brag but just saying I'm 18 and i have that elevated state of mind u guys were talking about. i see whats going on in the world for the most part and i never in a million years want to go back to being asleep the world is amazing when u see it though open eyes.
I'd love to see you guys react to Unity by Operation Ivy. They're a legendary punk band from the 80's and it be a great song to bring some punk into the channel. Talent is talent, that's all I'm gonna say
Nice reaction! I would love if you reacted to Gift of Gab (feat. R.A. The Rugged Man and A-F-R-O) - Freedom Form Flowing. The ebst flow and rhyme schemes i've heard in a long time
Y’all have NO IDEA how hype I am that y’all did this song! This is one of my favorites and I knew y’all would have a blast with this one! ✊🏾✊🏾 much love this made my morning😍
Wow he goes real deep with his lyrics, I think he has talent! The beat is fire as well! I respect it but this isn't something I would listen to more then once only because I'm more a R& B girl! I do agree he is a good rapper so I say good video!
Y’all need to check out his new project “pieces of a man” especially songs like “ghost” “plain clothes” and “soft porn”. As always another dope reaction.
Nice somebody finally did some Mick Jenkins. Check out Snow tha Product Get down Low/ No cut/ Jack Harlow his song ice cream/ ridin round town/ Hitchcock/ Routine all are fire.
Let me start by saying I have listened to rock, alt, metal all that shit since I was 12 or 13 yrs old. I've tried to listen to rap before because a appreciate music lyrics and to me, that is the main attraction to rap. But some stuff today I just find silly. It goes without saying I showed up for the rock reactions. But for some reason, I still can't explain this particular song just seems so legit to me and I 100% would have NEVER heard this on my own. So, thank you for that. I guess it goes to show that Free-Thinking is great but, the unification of Free-Thinkers from all facets of ideology is a force that can still revolutionize the world. P.S. This shit's on my playlist now!!!!

Thanks Nate!!
1) I love when you break down all the tough shit when pausing, keep doing it
2)Mick is a beast

5)no more mo3 chances😂
Yes! Another Mick Jenkins reaction. Found you guys' channel not too long ago and I'm loving the content. You guys are actually giving substantial thought on what you're reacting to unlike A LOT of other reaction channels
Daaamn Mick Jenkins is a beast! From this and the Ps and Qs y'all helped Mick get another fan for real!
To play devil's advocate, these types of artists will never be at the forefront because they are actually speaking and not promoting death and drugs. We have to wake up and realize that our culture has been compromised. We have more junkies than scholars. Shit is wild
Lost In Vegas and we are appreciative of that channel. Lol
Jordan Clemons kendrick sold 2 million copies this year. Cole sold 1 million don't sleep on lyrical rap
Mick takes tons of drugs though, his last album was basically a love letter to drugs through the theme of love.
This is wrong. It's because the song isn't catchy. It can has literally any meaning in the world, but has to be catchy for anybody to be in the forefront. In the end music is different from books or poetry, because it's music.
That was really good. I would definitely listen to more of his music.
That cherry stem line was🔥🔥🔥
This is probably the song that made me a Mick Jenkins fan. Everytime i show someone this song, they dont get the point because they only hear the hook. This song is so bumpin.
