we only accelerate it, the truth is whatever we do warming will continue just slower because magnetic field of the earth is demising. North and South polls will switch soon and this is going to kill us all. It is a natural process that takes place it just happened we are here in the middle of it. First magnetic Earth field demising then polls switch then we die. Because of lower magnetic field more Sun radiation hits the ground it is not because of our emissions so much. We are so much done like never before. I am glad I am getting older and I feel sorry for the young people

Something like that. What Gore didn't know & what the public does not know is that CO2 behaves logarithmically relative to temp, not exponentially or linearly. The temp initially inclines but under hypothetical dosages of CO2, the IR can't get out to heat the air any further because its avenue is blocked by the number of molecules. So the inclines become less & less & then insignificant.

@pwollerman Fair enough. The whole of East and West Antarctica is cooling, and has been for 40 years. East Antarctica has cooled by an impressive 0.7°C per decade. Resulting in an overall substantial and statistically significant decline of 2.8°C since 1980. So much for "Global" warming. I am referring to a paper by Zhu et al (2021) that looked at the reanalysed ERA5 satellite dataset. Check out table 4. Furthermore, the Antarctic Peninsula ice has since been shown to be on the increase “The eastern Antarctic Peninsula Ice Sheet has grown in area over the last 20 years, due to changing wind and sea ice patterns.” (University of Cambridge, May, 2022.)
In reality, "there have been statistically significant positive trends in total Antarctic sea ice extent since 1979." (Fogt et al, 2022. Published in Nature) "since 1979 is the only time all four seasons demonstrate significant increases in total Antarctic sea ice in the context of the twentieth century".
A study of Antarctic ice shelves from 1980 to 2021 (Banwell et al, 2023) showed meltwater volume dropped with "decreasing trend in both annual melt days and meltwater production volume over the 41 years.”
"Overall, the Antarctic ice shelf area has grown by 5305 km² since 2009, with 18 ice shelves retreating and 16 larger shelves growing in area. Our observations show that Antarctic ice shelves gained 661 Gt of ice mass over the past decade." (Andreasen et al, 2023). It is from a paper entitled "Change in Antarctic Ice Shelf Area from 2009 to 2019". They use MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) satellite data to measure the change in ice shelf calving front position and area on 34 ice shelves in Antarctica from 2009 to 2019. Also, as the mass gain (661Gt) was given, you could calculate the volume of the ice gained using the formula: Volume = Mass ÷ Density (assume Density of glacier ice 0.9167 Gt/km³). This would give you (well not you obviously) an Ice Gain Volume ≈721km³. That's how much extra of the lovely white stuff there is around Antarctica. Imagine standing in the centre of this extra ice. It would stretch beyond the horizon in all directions and would be 45 storeys high.
Antarctica contributes 0.36mm to sea-level rise per year (that's essentially nothing as well). At the current rate it will take well over ¼ million years to melt, but we are due for two more glacial periods in that time. That ice is here to stay.

The ice reflects heat like a white shirt in hot weather. Dark colors absorb it. all the snow and ice is what pushes the heat away, keeping those areas cool. The quicker the poles start melting the faster global warming will heat up. That's just one reason a dozen countries or so are working on developing space mirrors to create periods of shade each day.

It'd make sense wouldn't it that as the planet warms the coldest regions get heated first as heat seeks to disperse to the coldest temperatures first. Is this why the poles are heating quicker and winter and night time temperatures are increasing quicker than daytime ones. This can only last so long until we start seeing 60°C days somewhere. I expect temps to level now for a few years before tje the next jump with a strong el nino as that seems to be earths pattern. However if this year and next temps keep rising then that is truly out of control.

It will continue to get worse, because the Magnetosphere is depleting by 5% every decade, caused by the magnetic poles excursion.

It isn't the coldest any longer because the magnetic field is shifting.
The magnetic axis is a straight line running through the center of the earth. Magnetic north and magnetic south, the axis, are the 2 coldest points on the earth. The magnetic axis is not the same as the physical axis. These are the two axis of the earth.
If you create a statistical graph, you could surmise the increase in these events, and get a pretty clear picture of future cataclysmic rain events so people can prepare.
Evaporation and condensation, what goes up, must come down. Basic physics.
This happens every 1,000 years, according to my research.
When the magnetic field shifts, the solar radiation will obviously have a different effect on the earth.

    Subject:
It will be possible to avert Climate Change, but proactive support of governments of developed and developing nations is mandatory. Let India play a lead role in this
    regard.
Climate Change has become a global survival issue now. Since it is a global issue, it needs to be addressed at global scale.
Moreover, instead of wasting costly resources in wars and related wasteful activities, which are due to false ego, greed and undue fear of security among nations, it will be prudent to utilize these resources in mitigating global warming, which is causing climate change. Hence, let us all swear to shun wars and support global peace.
The unprecedented rains, floods, land slides, etc. are due to climate change. These calamities are causing untold sufferings to all the living beings globally and they will not spare any one in the near future. Therefore, governments of all the nations must have to act fast to avert climate change, before it is too late.
The innovator of Carbon-sink plant reitrates that if these plants are installed globally at coal/fossil-fuel fired power plants and industries, they will effecrively prevent discharge of colossal amount of CO2, which is one of the major causes of global warming, while wars will further enhance the pace of global warming. Hence, in order to ensure survival living beings, wars must be stopped immediately.
The Carbon-sink plants can fix SOx and capture CO2 in very large amounts from flue-gases of the above said industries. An integrated Stripping plant will release the captured CO2. The released CO2 can be utilized to produce Ethanol, Methanol, Urea, salts, CO2 hydrates etc.
Thus, Carbon-sink plants can effectivly mitigate global warming, but these plants cannot be installed without considered involvement of influential individuals and governments of developed and developing nations, because these are very costly plants. Moreover, when there is an issue of survival, the cost and all other issues become insignificant.
Therefore, the innovator of Carbon-sink pant is seeking an urgent response and support of the heads of governments of the above said nations, before it is too late.
The innovator will be glad to share the concept of Carbon-sink plant with the experts of the above said nations. In this regard, please contact the innovator at this email ID:

You do realize that as more fresh water enters the oceans, the less the conveyor works, not to mention the rise of sea levels. Once the conveyor stops, an Ice Age is only a few years away. Last one was the Younger Dryas.

Dude... That time it was not a matter of survival for human race.. Bcz we didn't exist...
The species that existed knew how to survive under such temperatures... And despite that 90% population got extinct multiple times during mass extinction.... That time it was due to volcanic eruptions and what not... So yes at that time it was due to natural reasons
But this time its not natural at all...
The rate at which temperatures are rising are way way faster than natural rates... Its like what ideally should happen over a period of 1lakh years is happening within 100-200 years....
      So forget about adaptation...This time
So yes climate change is a huge issue... Almost 50% population is not gonna survive.... If you are wealthy enough .. No worries... If not you better start worrying😥😥...
And as far as the reasons for climate change is concern vehicles pollution contribute less than 1%...
You have internet.. Instead of criticizing everything have a look on the top 10 reasons that contribute to climate change....
Almost 50 companies are responsible for 80% of carbon emissions...
But unfortunately we can't do anything...
And yes this thing- plant more trees trees... Is absolutely futile..there is not even 1% chance that planting more trees can stop climate change....
There is thing called earth overshoot day... And earth can't sustain this for very long...
Mother earth existed and will exist for another atleast billion years... It's about human race which is in danger... And especially poor...
And by poor I mean almost 600 crore people 😢

But this is du to tectonic movement, antarctica was in position of current central africa, so it's logical to have that climate.
Another thing with fast global warming, is it doesn't give time to human andanimls and pants to adapt to that new climate, which can cause big disaster and extinction of many species.
