I finally found white sneakers that work with my small frame: Bob’s. They are canvas, lightweight, slip on (there are laces but they are knotted, not tied). I get so much wear out of them (I love them with my t shirt dresses) and they are so comfortable and affordable. Thanks for these great tips, Chi.
....I think we might need to do a "Sneaker intervention" with Ms. Chi. She has the heels and pumps spot on:) I love my Skechers & Keds.......and Doc Martens......
Good tips! I wear barefoot shoes almost exclusively as they don’t squash my toes and have huge soles like regular shoes. My favorite sneakers are Xero shoes, the “Dillon” style. They are very simple and minimal so they look good with all my jeans and dresses (all of mine are of the utility type of style). I’m 5’3’’ and have found that I look best in the ankle or just slightly higher length jean with no show socks and the white sneakers. The best socks I’ve found are by UnderArmor. They don’t slip off my feet in the shoe. New sub here.
For me, nothing beats classic white canvas slip on Keds. They are streamlined and dont look clunky at all. I always keep them super clean, and dont use them for sports. They are cheap enough to replace each summer. And, still American made.
I’m 5’8” but I have a long torso and so your videos have helped me proportion my clothing properly! I watch your content all the time…it helps me accentuate my height when I was making myself look shorter…thank you!!
So glad you did this video. I have wanted to buy a trendy pair of white sneakers, but wasn’t sure how they would look being petite. Wonderful suggestions! Love the utility dress with sneakers. Thank you so much!
Your videos are both fun and informative - I love them! I also took a peek at your clothing line, and you have great taste! Lots of great styles to choose from. Well done!
Such a fantastic, helpful video! Great tips. I'm one of the very few who don't like sneakers with skirts or dresses, but I do like your styling of the utility dress with sneakers.
More great tips, Chi! I am beginning to plan my travel capsule for a month long trip in Europe. I believe I can apply some of the same tips while wearing my black slip-on sneakers. The timing of this video is perfect. Thank you!
I ran trips to Europe for several years.. dress modestly and please try to wear ‘shoes’ (leather) instead of sneakers. Respect the country and tourist spots by looking nice. Saw too many people in breathtaking churches in jeans shorts way too skimpy and sloppy sneakers. So disrespectful. Look classy. The black slip on ones are great ..they look best of all “sneaker” type. You will enjoy your trip when you look like you care about yourself. What fun!
Thanks for covering this topic. I always feel frumpy in mine and haven’t wanted to wear them with my skirts and dresses, which are what I wear most days.
Awesome. I do have a pair of slightly cropped pants and I didn't know what do do with them. Now I know. I will simply style them with my sneakers that look a bit dressier.
Besides wearing no show socks I found flat socks at kohl’s. They look like the Dr Scholls inserts that you cut to fit inside your shoe. They are washable as well!
Hi Chi, your vidoes have helped alot these days in learning dressing. I'm a novice of fashion degree and ur content has substituted the lessons I was not provided in school. Kindly make a vidoe for brides dressing styles.
I don't care what other say..I wear sneaker and ankle socks in all my shoes and most of it is visible. I tried those really low invisible sneaker socks with some silicone at the heel so they should stay in place but they always roll up under my foot when walking more then 10 minutes. (The ones I tried are from Primark after so many people told me they are awesome). Wearing panty socks make my feet smell and I hate that feeling in my shoes..to slippery. I only don't wear socks in slippers, sandal or other open shoes.
Thanks for an informative video 👍 I wear black running shoes a lot as they don't get dirty easily. I would love it if you could make a video on how to style black running shoes.
White platform sneakers are super cute and can be worn with wide leg jeans, skinny jeans, leggings, casual dresses, etc. I love my skechers, pumas and converse. Don’t wear worn out flat velcro sneakers!
Wow… so timely ! I used to wear heeled ( about 2 inches) open-toe shoes/ sandals cos I’m short …. 5 feet . Was 5 ft 2 & 1/2 inches but been shrinking due to my age. Am 76 now. Recently injured my lower back thus was told to stay away from high heels. So I’ve been buying sneakers, walking shoes.. I feel that I look weird wearing sneakers with dresses/ skirts.
Do you have a recommendation for no-show socks? The ones I've tried slip off my heel, or are just too tight. My feet are kind of large -- 8.5 US sizing, which I think makes it harder to find the right ones. Thanks for the tips.
Hi! 🤗 Those white sneakers are too sporty and bulky for street wear and that is why I only wear them when I exercise or walk with my dog. I like to keep another pair for street and casual wear but for that purpose I like simple, plain and sleek white sneakers.
Yes! Why make your feet look like blocks at the end of your legs!! Sleek, refined .. makes your legs look slim and you look taller..not like you have weights at the bottom. “Gym wear” is just that.
Super vidéo ! Comme d’habitude! En ce moment c’est la mode du jean flare crop , qui bien sûr à nous petite nous arrive à la cheville 😊 pourriez vous en faire une vidéo ? Merci d’avance ❤
@@cb9825 yes, actually I like all black sneakers - black with black soles. Styling-wise I think similar to this works except instead of white you’d likely want some black/dark elsewhere in the look - belt, purse, hat, top etc but most people have black stuff already. They look a bit less bulky than lighter colored sneakers overall too. I find them versatile and great for travel!
Actually socks with sneakers is a much more youthful look (go to any high school or college campus and this is how the kids are wearing it). The trick is not to make legs short by moving up the hemline (wearing shorter shorts)
Hi I just happened onto this video I loved this information but can you tell me how to do these things and minimize the tummy I am a little overweight due to health issues and I have no self confidence and need to gain that back. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thank you! I needed this. I always enjoy seeing your videos, but they haven’t popped up in a few months. I thought you had left RUclips 😫😫😫! Did you know that your accent was changing?
Thank you so much for these tips! I always see these women when I travel wearing jeans, coats, and sneakers.. they look so chick and elegant, but when I try that look, I look to “cluttered” and stocky.
Omg.. those Velcro sneakers have “nursing home” written all over them! There are pop on sneakers and slip on ones that look so modern and relevant… plus the ones that look like lace up, but have elastic to make them slip on. Velcro =frumpy. Just aNO Plus the ones shown look worn out already. Sloppy. Some loafers or flats would be cute.. sneakers are best for sports. Elevate your look with shoes.
Sneakers are in her feet today Nice and white and pretty are they She will be wearing them without socks With various fashions that she wears Easy to see she wears no undergarments Adding the sneakers without socks beauty
Chi I need direction. I want to make a big shearling coat into a shearling jacket. I have a short neck at 5feet tall and 128lbs. I ave to wear Chelsea boots or running shoes 🙈HELPPPPP!
None of this helps me. I need you to live in my closet to slap me when I wear frumpy stuff. Besides, you could fashion a potato sack to look good. I just CANT 🫣🤦♀️🤣
It’s the kind/type of white sneakers one should consider with outfits.
Confession: I’m 5’ 11.5”, but I still find so many helpful things on your channel!❤😊

Keds as well, small slim not sneakers

Love my shoes by Roxy. I think Bobs bought them out. They are so comfortable to wear. All day city tour and no sore feet’s
Love mine!
I love your tips, I cannot make sneakers look good at all.

There's a brand in Australia called Rollie Nation derby style and it is so elegant, I am able to wear it with wide leg trousers too.

Great tips. Proportion is key. I’m not a huge fan of white sneakers but have gotten a pair for an upcoming trip so your video is timely for me.
You have a great sense of style. Helpful tips!

I use socks to accent a colour, same as a scarf, or jewelry. It's great fun, and looks intentional - which it is!
I have tried SO many no show socks from cheap to expensive and they never stay put! Maybe I have odd feet, but I’m sticking with ankle socks too.
This was very helpful... thank you for sharing these tips!❤😊

Can you do outfits that we can completely buy? I look always frumpy no matter how much I buy.
I like a classic leather Ked, or white on white Converse all stars. Bonus on Converse, my orthotics fit in them!
Converse work every time 😊
Love the romper suit❤

They only stay on if that have that silicon heel grip in the back. Otherwise don’t bother buying them!
@Melanie McNeil- I’ve had some that slide into the shoe while walking- so annoying
Another great and timely video, Chi.

Try to ware all star sneakers. They look good with almost everything, because they are more slim and classic.
Hi! 🤗 Those white sneakers are too sporty and bulky for street wear and that is why I only wear them when I exercise or walk with my dog. I like to keep another pair for street and casual wear but for that purpose I like simple, plain and sleek white sneakers.

White sneakers need way more maintenance than black.
I agree😀I also like solid colour sneakers (top part and soles the same colour). Currently own a lilac pair.

Hello, do you recommend women with short legs wear Bermuda shorts ?
Good question
The no show socks don’t stay put they slip down and go under your foot 😟
I sort of like the visual trick of the French tuck, but it kind of looks like maybe someone left the restroom before they were fully ready.
Guess what? I'm 57 and wear what I'm comfortable in. I don't give a rat's ass if I look frumpy or not.
I look everywhere for trim sneakers. Everything is big and bulky which I don’t like at all.
Thank you so much for these tips! I always see these women when I travel wearing jeans, coats, and sneakers.. they look so chick and elegant, but when I try that look, I look to “cluttered” and stocky.

Adding the sneakers without socks beauty
Great tips chi and video 👍 I’m still looking for a hood pair of minimal design white sneakers ….most of the ones I have come. Ross are a bit bulky.
Thank you so much! ❣️
You dont have this trend with visible high socks? Its nice though...
1:04 looks like an AT&T employee lol
❤️❤️❤️
and yet it can stand, socks in sneakers. There was also a time when you could wear socks in high heels, sandals with heels
Chi I need direction. I want to make a big shearling coat into a shearling jacket. I have a short neck at 5feet tall and 128lbs. I ave to wear Chelsea boots or running shoes 🙈HELPPPPP!
The boots are better worn with the shearling jacket than with the running shoes. ❣️
A romper this short won’t need an assorted handbag because you will not wear it passed your backyard.
I hate the short pants, I like the long pants
I don’t think the large formal purse works with a casual outfit. A straw bag would look better.
How can women over 65 wear a crop top?
I can never tuck a shirt in. I have a disproportionately huge belly.
But your old pair is horrendous 😂
These looks are stunning! I really enjoyed seeing your videos and we would love to work with you, let us know if you are interested? 🥰

Tip: Never ever wear dirty white sneakers. So tacky. Clean them in between wearing.
I hate dresses with sneakers.
