Great review. I'm thinking of purchasing a pair. My feet are slightly wider than standard for example Nike I find to narrow. What is the sizing like should I consider a wider fit?

First Like to Run4adventure. Drop 12mm= No for me. I prefer the Brooks levitate 6. A nice weekend for everyone.

    I'm a big Ghost fan.
The 12 mm drop is not ideal, but the Ghost is otherwise a superb shoe.

12mm is definitely to high for me in a running shoe 👍

Brooks Ghost, along with New Balance 880, remain at the center of my daily run rotation. Not too heavy, not too cushy, not too anything … just right (Goldilocks) for mid-week miles. I have just demo’ed the Ghost 16; they will get into my rotation as soon as the current pair ages out - another 150 to 200 miles.

How do you find the width in the ghost?

Damn, just as I bought Fresh Foam and changed my old ghost 14s. Loved that shoe. I guess will need to go back when it's time to change the pair 😅

What would be the best equivalent to brooks hyperion tempo? Thanks in advance.

Would this be a good running shoe for an absolute newbie? My podiatrist told me I needed something with a high heel drop and a firm ankle support. There's too many choice! I tried the New Balance 1080 and it was way too soft, it felt like I was one step away from rolling my ankles. I also tried the Asics Nimbus 25 and the outsole was way too slippery.

I’ve always found the Brooks Ghost to be a good neutral shoe for someone new to running. Hope this helps and best of luck 🙂

I used to always use the Ghost (6-12) and always suffered with cramping calf muscles. After a gait analysis, I started to switch it up and have had Saucony, Adidas, Merrell and back to Saucony. I wouldn't go back to a 12mm drop, 6-8 seems to suit me much better and I'm sure that the higher drop contributed to my calf issues.

I'd love a Ghost with a shorter drop

Just some quick feedback: That wind transition sound you put in on graphics wipes/pop-ups etc, is horrendous if your wearing quality headphones. It's a real spine scraper :( I would be very interested what others think, because a) it would be nice to know if it's just me and I am a weirdo, and b) I am a very, very nosy person :p Thank you for the review. Sorry about the essay :(

We’ve used that sound effect for years and years in our videos and this is the first time anyone has said that? Maybe you are a weirdo? 😂 Obviously I’m only joking and thanks for watching the video 🙏

Can't get past the 12mm drop. Otherwise might enjoy these.

      I’m not a lover of a 12mm off set either 🤔

They're great - except for the 12 mm
