Your work is lovely! I so appreciate what your husband shares at the end of your videos. I also appreciate that I’m not the only person who does not have the gift of organization. I have a friend who I call a “domestic athlete”, never a wasted movement and organized to the hilt! Every so often she comes over and bosses me around. The result….an organized space that lasts about a week😂.
Leslie, I love that…domestic athlete 🤣. May I share this??
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim Absolutely!! She would love that! She’s my sister in the Lord and a true gift.
So much beautiful stitching Kim! I laughed when you said that you can’t find your Warm & Natural, as I have the same problem at the moment! My house is in such disarray due to a huge remodeling project we have been working on for more years than I can remember! So much is packed up and shoved in drawers that I can’t find anything, and my stash keeps growing as well! One of these days I’ll get it all sorted out! I enjoyed seeing you at Midsummer Stitch last weekend!
Hi Carol! It sounds like we are in the same boat!
Love your videos. Such beautiful work and great ideas to pull motifs from patterns and make them your own. Traditional stitches in Calgary Alberta Canada has cottage garden threads, just know it can be a couple months wait. They are fantastic to shop from and have lots of products
Love seeing all your project - so beautiful. What a lucky lady to have such a talented loving friend who shares her card making talents - they are amazing! I understand the "I just want to stitch", sometimes our finishes pile up awaiting our attention. Sometimes I just like pulling them out and getting inspiration from them. Thank you to you & your husband for sharing your love of Our Lord & Savior!
Terri, thank you for each of these comments. They felt like “hugs.” Silly? They really just made me smile 🤗
Thanks for sharing Kim........... I love your vision for making the charts your own. FYI - HobbyHouse Needleworks carries the Cottage Garden Threads.
Thank you! I’m excited to try the floss!
Glad to hear I’m not alone! I’ve been searching for my wooden peacock thread keep all week and can’t find it! I remember putting it somewhere so I’d know exactly where it is. 😂😂😂. Hope it show up like yours did!
Hi Ginger! I always think about how I wished we’d had more time to chat when we met up! Someday!! I really need to get more organized! 🤷🏻♀️🙄
Ooh I love your birthday start! Happy Birthday 💕 thanks for sharing my shop and pattern 🥰
Thank you!! I love Consider 💕
Love the ending when your husband speaks and shares!
We are always so excited to hear that you stay for the scripture…the best part! ❤
The Blackbird piece you showed is one of my favorites. I really need to just get myself together and stitch it! I'm also struggling with getting and keeping my stash and supplies organized. I have about 85% of it done, but I keep getting stalled at getting my spare skeins of floss sorted and put away. I've got spots for them, I just need to spend the time to get it done! I also have a number of thread packs that I've collected for specific pieces, mostly counted canvas, and I need a good place to store them. Once I get it done, it will be so much easier to keep up, and to find things... but I can't quite get myself motivated! 🪡👠
Yes! Sometimes I just stand and twirl around in the chaos, give up, and go stitch!
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim exactly what I do!
Oh Kim! Such beautiful finishes! I just purchased dreamer but have not kitted mine up yet. After seein yours I’m anxious to start but I want to start too many🤪 thank you for sharing! Happy stitching!
Start all the things! That’s the plan for Sampler September 🤣
I love to be awash in your inspiring stitching. You and I are so much alike. I feel the same way about my time for stitching. Hope to see you at Midsummer stitching. ❤❤
Just finished your video! Lovely project bag 💕
Your first stitch you showed Summer Jubilee I just finished few weeks ago and stitched with 2 strands. I hated stitching it but the border actually matched so I felt obligated to finish Going to stay with one from here on out. I want to go order some of the things you are stitching on. I think every time I watch you I always order something new. Love your videos and the part your husband does at end
Hi Wanda! Yes, I am totally team one strand! 💕
Ohhhhh. John is a great study...will check on the MacArthur study. Love your birds! I'm looking to substitute the anchor purple tone, but am loving that stitch! You go!
The anchor purple?? Sorry, which one? Tweet Tweet ??
The BBC version of “Pride and Prejudice” is also my favorite. Have you read “North and South” by Elizabeth Gaskell? There is also a BBC version that I love. It takes place in Victorian England; it’s a must for Jane Austen fans!
Hello my friend! I so enjoyed this video! 😍 Charity for all looks absolutely stunning in that frame, exactly as it is! It’s perfect!! Love the dark round wooden frame for Margaret Hull. The Dreamer personalizations turned out amazing! The Scarlet Letter full coverage is just beautiful. I really need to buy Beloved! Too much goodness in one video! ❤
Awww, thank you 😊. Yes, Beloved is a must-stitch!
Lovely stitching as always!
I absolutely love Persuasion & Pride and Prejudice! While I love the 1995 Pride & Prejudice with Jennifer Ehle & Colin Firth, I highly recommend the 1980 BBC production with Elizabeth Garvie & David Rintoul! I must watch! I cannot watch the Kiara Knightley version at all.
My favorite version of Persuasion is The 1995 BBC one with Amanda Root & Ciaran Hinds. I hope you enjoy the 1980 P&P!
As always, you have some amazing stitching.
I can't pick a favorite!
Thanks for sharing.
Marilyn
Good thing we can have lots of favorites! ❤
A wonderful array of beautiful stitching Kim. I love your enthusiasm for the pieces that you stitch. Oh I hear you on putting things away and not being able to find them later! Happy stitching 😊
How can I always be so disorganized? 🤣🤣🤷🏻♀️
Such a lot of lovely stitching Kim - bless you!
Thank you! I know you are enjoying Greece!
I love Margaret in the pink frame and I think it looks great with the pink inner border too. It's so lovely. I can relate to your organization whoas. I do the same thing. I put stuff in a place to remember it and I can remember the special place for that. Then, it turns up unexpectedly and I'm then I tell myself, now I remember where I put that! 😂 I always enjoy your creativity with patterns. Thank you to your husband for sharing scripture!
Oh thank you! I just love the pink for M too. Yes, where is all my stuff? 🤣
I always love seeing everything you are stitching and your finishing/framing 😎 I have to agree about being organized 😮 Every time I straighten up, I can’t find anything 😂 Thanks for the scripture as always ❤
Right? I’ve had the same place for my Warm and N…why did I organize it?!
I don’t watch WIP parades. Call me weird, but since I follow you, I see them already. Besides being so much work for you.
Have a blessed stitching week
Beautiful work and loved the scripture discussion, too.
Thank you, especially for staying for the scripture ❤
Awesome video!!!! Kim you are so amazing with all the cross stitch you have stitched and framed yourself!!! Love all of your finishes and WIPS!! I do agree with you about finishing
Thank you so much! 🤗
Thank you for sharing.
I love your stitching. What a great finish looks fabulous. I just got out the Red Deer Sampler today it's been calling me. I would not stitch ghostly letters, it makes it look like a eye chart, looks beautiful. Love this beautiful bird, too. Love seeing all your beautiful stitching, eye candy.
Thanks for the confirmation on the eye chart! I’ve been making progress on Red Deer today! ❤
Awwww thanks for thinking of me, even if it was for traumatic restarting. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
So look forward to your videos Kim. Also the bible shares. You shared a chart today called The Visitor, a reproduction that I would like to know the designer for. I have to have it!
Yes! I’m sorry I wasn’t more clear…it’s Nest of Petals on Etsy and Flosstube (I did link her), Rosana. Isn’t it so pretty?! 💕😊
Absolutely wonderful starting my day with you ❤ great video as always! Beautiful stitching by a beautiful friend! Cant wait to see you in a few weeks! Hugs!
Sooo excited!! 💕💕💕
Thank you for all the loveliness you shared today! Made my heart happy!
You make my day, Lois! 💕
Hi, Kim, Great to visit with you today. So many beautiful stitches. I plan to stitch "On A Low Branch" when it becomes available at 123 Stitch. I will be changing the thread and linen colors. Let me know when you plan to start it. Take care and Happy Stitching!
Oh yay! Just waiting on 123!
Thanks for all the inspiration and scripture. You both are a blessing to us.
😊😊😊💕
I am loving to stitch birds! Love your pieces with birds ❤
They are the best!!
I am afraid that I have so completely been enabled even more by you! Thanks for the mention about the Bible Study! Praising God for all His goodness bringing us together in His word! ❤❤❤
Yes! He is so good! 💕
I'm right there with you.. I just want to stitch. I don't want to make pillowa or frame, I just want to stitch 🤣
Yes!!
I couldn't read the rest of your shirt, just the word "Stitch" but can imagine the rest of it saying "all the birds" 😄 Love all of your pieces and progress!
Hi Amy! Hmm, I need that shirt! This one says Stitch, frog, repeat 🤣
Love all your stitching, just gorgeous.
Thank you so much, Suzanne ❤
I feel like our brains are twins❤😂 see you in October 🎉
So many wonderful projects Kim! The Beloved …. that red bird is stunning! I would do all of the letters in red also.
Oh yay! Thanks for the designer eye affirmation!
I'm stitching The Red Deer. I call it my Allsorts sampler as we have some sweets in the UK called Liquorice Allsorts - lots of coloured fondant. I did the centres of the flowers in the border all in black and didn't use the different centres. The large break-off flower to the centre basket - right side - reminds me of a triffid or a fly-catcher plant. Enjoy.
I love the idea of just black instead of all the fussy color changes
Love all your stitching. Thanks you for the wonderful scripture
As always, thanks for staying ❤
I’m so glad you love Pride and Prejudice as much as I do! Summer School will be here before you know it! I’m joining in on a Little Bit of Spring-I love it so much!
Yay!! So many BBD charts I want to stitch! Yes, Pride and Prejudice has been a favorite for 30 years!
You do such beautiful work. I just found your floss tube video, and are enjoying watching you.
Thank you so much! Welcome, and thanks for commenting 🤗
Wooo! So much beautiful stitching! Start the old world bird Julie finished!!
Right?!
You always seem to outdo yourself. Loved all the shares of your stitching and frames. And I’m right there with you. Would rather spend time stitching than organizing. Hope to find you in a chat room Friday.
Yes! We need to coordinate it!💕
I started Gwyneth's Bouquet on July 1st and finished the 13th. It is up on my Instagram. Thank you for the inspiration to do it.❤
You finished?! I need to go look. Missing you on Sandi’s zoom 💕
What a lovely video friend!!😊🩵 I love your idea about leaving the house off of that sampler. It would make a fun little something. I love the colors on the antique…that might be the way I would go🤔 Oh my gosh! I know how you feel with not being able to find things. I feel the same as you that I would rather be stitching. My Dad asked me something about how long will that take you to stitch and what do I do with them when I’m done. I said…I just put them in a drawer and start on the next one😂😂😂I told him it’s not about the finish it’s about the process!! 😅
Hi! I will be excited to see your color choices for Bit. I want the finished stitch…I just haven’t been motivated to do it 🤣. You better be saving up a big hug for me at Summer School 🤗💕
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim I am🩵😊
Oops!! I would rather be stitching too.
I wonder how many birds you have stitched over the years. I have an entire flock this week as I stitch three French hens three times. You are looking excellent Kim. 🦉🧵🪡🦅
So many birds! Missed you Sunday 🙋🏻♀️
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim I read my calendar wrong and thought the meeting was this coming Sunday. Groan.
@@TheStitchingOwloh phooey!
Hi Kim, Don't worry, I haven't forgotten your bag. Yours is next. I have a friend coming into town tomorrow for a few days, so I will start yours next week. If you watch Pam and Steph's latest video at the 30:55 mark you can see the bag I made for her. Hang in there, I am sewing away.
🤣🤣🤣. Not worried…no rush!! 💕💕
Thank you, Kim, I admire the modifications you make to a pattern to make it your own!
Question, please, what is the name of the pattern for the 5 birds on a branch over your right shoulder. Thank you!
Thank you! Eleanor Parr by The Scarlet Letter (I shared a closeup a few videos ago)
Thank you for sharing! Could you please tell me wat the piece behind you is? The thin long one with the birds. I love that piece and would love to stitch it! ❤❤❤
That’s Eleanor Parr by the Scarlet letter. I showed her up close a few videos ago at the beginning 🤗
Hi Kim....loved your video as always! Could you tell me what is the stitch behind your husband with the verse "You shall be lead out in joy..."? It's beautiful!
Thank you! And a Forest Grew by Rosewood Manor with the change of verse I got from Lindy Stitches
Thank you!! I LOVE everything you stitch and always enjoy the scripture!! Thanks so much for doing that!
Wonderful flosstube, so many beautiful projects. Could you please share the name of the pattern with the five birds in a row, that is on your wall? I want to stitch a project with birds for a friend and I have been looking for the perfect pattern for a few weeks now. And there it is on your wall! 😃
Thank you. It’s Eleanor Parr by the Scarlet Letter. I show a close up at the beginning of a video a few videos back 🤗
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim Wow, that was quick! Thank you!
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim When I do a search for this pattern with this name and designer a different pattern comes up.
@@knackability7098 I only stitched the border. I shared it often as I stitched it.
I love all your bird stitches. On the wall behind you, are the three birds in square white frames cross stitches?
Yes, they are…Prairie Schooler chart. There are four in total, but I didn’t stitch the cardinal yet. I can’t remember the chart name right off, though 🤔
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim thank you! Off to put that on my wish list 😊
Hi Dee ho friend! Wow wow what a JAM PACKED video! Phew!!!! I mean PHEW!! Just gorgeous eye candy. I always tell you that you are a beautiful stitcher ( in skill and personally) as for Bit of Spring…. You did say early on that you might leave the house out, you do you!!! ❤ I adore the little house and that bit of laurel look under it so I think this may be one I’m doing all of ( GASP) not committing on the the border tho , let’s don’t get crazy!! As for organizing….. life is short I wouldn’t sweat it. As long as you can eventually find things you are good! 💕💕💕💕💕💕 it’s like me and floss drops. Love them just cannot do them I could be stitching all that time!! 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🙋🏻♀️. Yes, we need a consult on that border 🤔. I want to get organized so I stop wasting time looking for things! 👀🙄💕
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim that’s a lofty goal
Wonderful video! You are such a talented and beautiful stitcher! Question: How do you decide which WIP to stitch on? Do you have a system (wheel, etc.)? Thank you! Happy stitching!
Aww, thanks, Joyce 😊. I don’t have a set plan, no. Sometimes it’s a SAL I’m invited to join, but mostly it’s just whatever I’m in the mood for. If I’m close to a finish on something, I may be motivated to do that. I just really try to stitch what brings me joy at the moment, and I have lots to choose from!
Can you please tell me the name of the chart of the horizontal birds piece on the wall behind you? Did you change a significant amount of colors. I love it!
Eleanor Parr by The Scarlet Letter. I show a close view a few videos back
The Book of John is intense.
It’s wonderful! 💕
Re the small chart - could you not photograph it and blow it up on your phone?
Hi! I’m sure I can blow up the chart a few ways. I just need a paper copy to stitch by. Thanks for the suggestion! 🤗
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim Oh, I may have misheard you !
@@justinerogers1353 no, no…I don’t think I was very clear 🙄
Love you work. Do you use glass in your frames?
Thank you ☺️. Not usually, no. I like to see the stitching!
WOW!! What a fabulous view dear friend. I am so happy you are loving The Visitor and I so appreciate you sharing your love on your flosstube channel. Hugs from VA :)
My pleasure! Excited to stitch that bird!
What?!! Not the Emma Thompson Pride and Prejudice?? lol
She’s in Sense and Sensibility, right? Yes, love that one too!
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim Oh right....Sense and Sensibility..duh Same year! I'm with you on the BBC version.
