Hi Emma, lovely to see you back. Thank you for taking me back to the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate. I visited on the Sunday and it was simply amazing. So much variety, lots to see and very very inspiring. The Hand and Lock (prize for embroidery) exhibition was fantastic - such a mixture of techniques in each of the pieces on show. Great to see the prize-winning quilts from the Festival of Quilts, which I missed this year. The show's organisers did a great job and it was so interesting talking to the artists and creators about their work. I will need 2 days next year as I simply ran out of time to see everything! Have fun making your beaded decorations, they look so cute! Take care. ❤🤗

It’s really lovely to see you back Emma and looking well. The great thing is that you very sensibly took the time to focus on your health and getting better. It's very nice to see you and I'm glad you're feeling better. I began watching you because I was interested in EPP. I'm working on my 1st project which, self designed, which includes turned edge applique, embroidery, piecing, quilting and EPP. NOT a beginner project as I'm either a complete novice or a beginner to all of these techniques. All that to say, don't worry about beginning beading with a more advanced project. Your experience with other stitching methods will help you. From what I could see, it looked like a variation of Right Angle Weave (RAW). Not an intuitive stitch to start but once you get it, it's not hard at all. I began off loom bead weaving more than 30 years ago and still love it. I hope you enjoy your new craft as much as I'm enjoying EPP+! Of all the things I'm trying out the EPP is the most fun so far. Thank you for helping me get started!

I think I am just recovering from first covid, then a chest infection that wouldn’t clear, and just felt awful for about 8weeks after.still have a cough had chest infections my chest is now clear, but I know how horrid it makes you feel. So sorry you have not been good, but lovely to see you again.

I reeeeally wanted to be there as I looked at the textile art you showed on your footage. There was a piece of work with a knitted jumper in it, and huge embroidered moths.... Can you tell me the artist's name, please, as I couldn't make it out on my screen. There were lots of other pieces I loved... Will definitely be watching this again! 😍 Thanks for showing us around!

I'm always so pleased to see your new videos crop up on my notifications, I do hope you are well and truly back to your best. I watched you while knitting a sock, but I also have 2 crochet projects on the go at present I do like to swap between them the socks are dark grey and on fairly dark needles, have to take some breaks from them.. The knitting and stitching show look really interesting, and I imagine fun.

As for what I've been up to, I finished a matching scissor case to the needle book I made. It took a lot of work because the first time I tried to make it I made it just a smidge too small. I had to take a bunch of it apart so I could alter the design and have it look right when I added more to the sides. I had forgotten to account for the thickness where the screw is. So my little purple sewing box is pretty much good to go now and I'm stoked.
Next project is to make the scissor case and needle book for the teal sewing box (that one is going to be intended for embroidery most likely)
Those beaded ornaments look very cute, I don't think they should be too difficult? they are cute

Thanks so much for sharing this. I wasn’t able to go this year, so I was pleased to see all the art pieces. Take care of yourself and keep stitching. One of the other videos flagged up that there were very few embroidery threads. Where do you buy your threads?
so glad you enjoyed it! yes, now you mention it, there weren't many threads at all. I buy dmc from hobby craft or love craft and I buy hand dyed threads from Lorna Bateman
