I NEVER get enough of military reunion videos! The day my daughter returned from Iraq, I had not seen her for two years. It was an even happier day than the day she was born!
But the other side of the story:
I don't know which was harder to navigate as a friend; those friends whose child didn't return from Iraq and Afghanistan when my daughter did; or seeing parents who said they wished their child had not returned, instead of coming back in so much mental and/or physical agony; some of their children committing suicide. There is almost nothing that is good about any war.😢

37yrs old and joined the Air Force. I have 2 small children and the thought of being away from them for 2 months for basic training is the most difficult part for me.
My boyfriend will be joining the military next year, it breaks my heart knowing he might not ever come home 😢
