right back atcha bro. For me, all I need is good weather, 55F or more and i'm on the streets chasing the dream so for me, its bound to be "best" most of the yr. Only thing getting in the way? Work..
The long wheely at 4:44, what gear were you in and what is your gearing set up? Recently bought a 2010 510SMR and getting a hang on the wheely's but can't stay too long in 1 gear when i'm reaching the higher revs. Loving your videos man!
hey Bimmer, that was in third gear. She's running a 15/42 sprocket setup so OEM. If you're wanting to learn how to not run out of rpm's, you'll need to work at getting the bike higher and closer to balance point. So be sure to keep the rear brake covered and if you feel you're going to far back, just touch the rear brake and let her drop down. Do this enough times and you'll learn how to keep the bike up nice and high without revving out. But "chasing" when wheelying is not a good habit in the long run so I'd say to start in 2nd gear and practice, practice, practice covering the brake, so going up and down over and over. Once you get to where you can manage keeping on one wheel well in 2nd gear without revving out,. move to 3rd gear.
tough call. I have 3 bikes in this range, third one is a 2019 KTM EXC-F fully modded. They are all unique and have special strengths/weaknesses for how I ride so why i have the 3. I'm about to do a comparison vid of them to go over this but the short answer is the smr510 is the race bike, much like the Aprilia SXV but way more reliable. The Berg is a low end torque monster and the easiest to wheelie and maintain and maybe the sexiest. The KTM is modern, reliable and easy to get parts for but she is third in line when its time to play so u know where my heart lies :)
@@motardyoda I understand completely. I wanted a KTM 500 for myself as well but chasing dreams of acquiring an sxv550 is where it's at to me. Do you think you'd ever sell the husky or the berg?
@@bmwm3man so first, are you saying you want to get an Aprilia SXV550? Second, the smr510 and Berg will be in the stable for good. I'm actually building out a 2010 mint frame right now, the 510, getting her powder coated shortly and will migrate all the best of the best parts I have to her including my newly rebuilt 510 big bore motor. The 2010 has the proper ecu for dual pipes and I have a set of Titanium Leo Vinces I'll fit on her.
Wish you the best in 2022 too!

@@motardyoda thx so much for your answer! I have the same setup! 15-42 so now i know it’s possible, only more practice practice practice 😁👍
An SMR 510 and a Berg? You have good taste man. Which one do you like more?

Is it hard to get parts for the husky? What's your usual source RMATV?
