@@OliverFetter posted that comment a little early. Gotta get those old rusted pulley bolts off for the lower timing cover. THEN this video will have me golden

This will be very helpful I have the service manual but it’s nice to watch someone actually do it
I am just replacing my injector pump with a spare soon here and a little nervous about the tolerances with making sure everything is in time

@@OliverFetter one of my beloved mk1s is gutted at the moment 😊I am fabricating A posts and doing bulkhead and scuttle repairs, not to mention struts and complete upper part of inner wing nowadays.. and yes.. on both sides 😁 And I have already replaced complete front panel. The chassis rails were OK,.but apart from them everything needed and needs attention on the front. Once I have finished the front jobs, I will put it on the rotisserie for further cosmetic repairs (sills, floor and rear part is solid 🤞).. and once I finished all the metalwork I will put together the engine (NA 1.6D) on a stand..(everything belonging to engine bay is already sandblasted, powdercoated,. yellow zinc plated, whichever applicable, block is painted close to factory green) . aaaand there comes your timing video!😊👌 sounds like a plan innit?.😁 So yes, I will time this small engine, but wanted to share the background, why I scheduled it to 2024. Sorry for the long writeup cheers!👌

here in brazil has a guy who dont like to use the flywhells timming beacuse que already see some of them some degrees wrong.
then he take off the first injector and use a clock to take the TDC direct from the cylinder
