    After I wash my CPAP tube, I get beads of water in the tube for days. Hanging the tube doesn't help and my CPAP has auto-shutoff. Any ideas on what I can do? I bought an extra tube, so I can alternate, but I'm worried I'll get mold in the washed tube because of the length of time it is taking to dry out.

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  3 года назад +3

      I would try hooking up the CPAP tube and running the CPAP for a bit without any water in the water chamber. This dry air blowing through should dry it out pretty quick. If the unit has an Auto Off feature then you may want to put a small piece of paper towel in the end to restrict the air flow slightly and trick the CPAP into continual running. Might make your Compliance reports look a little funny. ;)

    The only reason it "pops" is because your chamber is over filled. It says full or max for a reason. Once the water level drops below full, the popping will stop. I know this because I did it last night. 😂
    Watching Dexter and not paying attention to the level. Just a little over and the popping started. Took about 30 mins to stop. Live and learn.

    hello - can you use the heated tube WITHOUT the humidifier? also I like to sleep with a cooler room but my nose mask which is small, collects condensation and drips on my nose within 2 hours so I essentially have to wake up every 2 hours to dry it out with Kleenex or a cloth... is there anything I can do for that problem? would a tube snuggy help with that at all, even in a cooler room?

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  2 года назад +1

      You can use a heated tube on some models without the humidifier. The colder the room, the more condensation you will see in the tubing. A tubing snuggie would help insulate the tube and reduce condensation and water.

I woke up from a deep sleep and starting choking, i was internally drowning in water from the mask, now I'm scared to use it, i ordered a new tube and mask, the tube had a little hole in it which i covered it with tape so the air would stay in the tube. This could be very dangerous EXPECIALLY with a nose mask because the air has nowhere else to go like a full facemask.!!

In the DreamStation 2 case there is an adapter that i have linked below for you. The adapter will allow you to connect the mask direct to the heated hose. That should help. Two hoses would definitely cause rainout. If he is not using a DreamStation 2 Heated hose, then something else is up I think. Hey. Thanks for your videos. They are very informative and helpful. I do have a question though. I have the airsence 11 and I have the humidifier set at 6 and the heated tube at 30 degrees Celsius. I’m not getting any rain out thankfully but I do get a little bit moisture in my F20 full face mask. Is this ok? Or should it by dry when u wake up? I thought it was ok because I’m not getting rain out and I personally like the moisture as it makes my sleep quite comfortable. But I can’t seem to get a straight answer about the minimal moisture that I get. Is it because the humidity is too high or could that be from my warm air as I exhale? Thanks 😊

We've only been together 5 months and it has gotten better because I'm forcing him to do something about it. I’ve been doing all the research, cleaning & Journaling of every change or medication to try & rule things out but I REALLY think it's from the machine. Doctors have no idea what it is. I don't know if he's even telling them about the cpap. The company we bought it from has no idea.
