    So happy to see you this evening. You look amazing - hair or no hair! Love all the options. Honestly, just wear what makes you feel most comfortable. Do you follow Sugar Puff & Fluff on YT? She has lots of wig videos. I bet if you reached out to her she would love to help you out. Use your channel to promote a wig maker. Reach out to them - they would at least give you a discount or maybe even free wigs. Anyhow, keep up the fight. Praying for you from here in the States.

    When you had your hair cut short before treatment you was gorgeous, couldn't you find on line a short cut wig on line. But when your hairdresser cut your wig into a nice cut it looked beautiful on you. Even the hair wraps are lovely.xx

      I just bought a couple of short dark wigs in the weekend. It was tough as some are so boofy I wasn’t a fan but hopefully I may have chosen better this time. There was a sale online so I made the most of it. I am going to pass two i on f the wigs on from this video. I am sure someone will like them and I hope it will help someone else out xx

    I wouldnt bother with the wigs. You look fabulous bald!! I love all those various caps that you have bought. Wear those with big hoop earrings and you would be absolutely stunning!. To jazz up the caps that are plain you could pin a sparkly broach to it! Either way, i think they are gorgeous and wouldnt mind a few myself to hide my hair when its going nuts lol. You are looking really well Ange! Take good care of yourself. Continuing to send healing vibes your way. Love and hugs xx

    Hi Angela. I think you look amazing with your full glam and no hair! You can rock it, girl! Love your caps, even the one you're not sure about. I think the important thing to remember about wearing wigs out amongst strangers is that they will see what they want to see and, they won't get that close! It's an illusion! There's an Australian lady, Maggie Tabererr, fashion icon, who has rocked very short or next to no hair for years. She has always looked so chic. Your look atm gives me her vibes! Your makeup is looking beautiful, as always! Blessings and love.

    I am not a wig wearer but from what I hear natural hair wig is a whole different ball game and it seems they are more easier to adjust. To be honest, I really do like the black beanie look with your makeup look and the earrings it gives you a little edgy look, I like it!! The wig touched up by your hairdresser looks actually really nice and natural! You are doing great sweet girl, keeping you in my prayers!! MJ xo

      Natural hair wigs seem to be $1500 upwards here so they haven’t been on my radar unfortunately. I just ordered a couple of short styles on the weekend as there was a sale. I am going to try and pass on a couple of the ones I have that I don’t feel that confident with. Definitely a learning curve. I love my earrings I haven’t even been wearing them much lately but definitely add some sparkle xxx

    You honestly look gorgeous with no hair💝It is a massive fear and trauma for most women to lose their hair I know, but you truly do look stunning. All the wigs look lovely on you too, but you need to feel comfortable and confident when wearing them, so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, you need to feel good yourself. The scarves/turbans also look beautiful, my sister in law wears one regularly even though she has hair😍 I know Nisha, SugarPuffAndFluff, on RUclips also often wears wigs even though she has hair, I don't know how easily available any she buys are in New Zealand, but they are often by Raquel Welch and they look fabulous. I hope you find something that you can feel good in, but you truly do look gorgeous no matter what is on your head. Lots of love from France💝

You really can’t go wrong with any of your options - all look very flattering. I think Wig number 1 will probably just take time to get used to, but it also looks nice, and your stylist did a good job. 😊

      Hi hun. Yes I thought it was going to be so easy. You see all these gorgeous ladies on RUclips rocking wigs but then I suppose they have tried tones of them to know what looks good on them 🤷‍♀️ I have found it such a stressful and demoralizing journey. Wow AC is brutal. I was so sick last round (third of four) I was out for 10 days. Very ill and was really feeling very very sorry for myself. I have my last round this Friday and I am dreading it so so much. I was even I tears the other night just thinking about it. The positive is that this is the last one and hopefully the weekly Pactilaxel rounds are not so brutal. I think being so unwell and dealing with feeling so unattractive some days just makes it worse. I enjoy the good days like this week I feel better (not enough to get dolled up and film a video - just didn’t have the heart for it this week) but I am enjoying having a laugh a work and my yoga teacher commented I looked better tonight than I did last week so that made me feel better ❤️❤️❤️ one foot in front of the other 😍

  • @lorainemcgillivray77

    Hi Ange i'm pretty sure wigs can be adjusted for fit and the ear tabs can be removed if required. As someone with naturally thick hair volume is a constant battle - it needs serious taming lol. This is why the grass is always greener and those with fine straight hair want thick wavy hair and vice versa. I didn't think they looked overly voluminous, but as you say you are used to less bulk of hair. I thought the first wig looked the most natural - it is a beautiful colour and a pretty style. Getting it adjusted or watching one of the many videos on how to adjust where the clips are etc may help you feel more comfortable. You don't have to wear a wig - many women feel much more comfortable in the caps/beanies of scarves. Wigs are hot to wear and you already said the chemo has affected your internal thermostat leaving you hot all the time. I also think you can rock the bald look with that full face of makeup, but the scalp is very vulnerable to sun damage and needs covered for that reason outside. Perhaps a shorter funkier style of wig would be less bulky, as that seems to be the major dilemma you reported feeling. Perhaps getting one of the less expensive ones cut into a shorter funky style will make it more wearable? I thought your hairdresser did a good job of thinning out and styling the wig shown. This isn't forever, but it is important to wear what you feel comfortable in. I'm sorry it has been so stressful finding something to fit well. Best wishes.

      Ive been a bit of a baby about it really but I just feel so not me at the moment. Yes as you say it is temporary and I am thankful for that. I have just ordered two short wigs on the weekend as there was an online sale so hopefully they will be better. There are in that nice dark colour. Thanks for your feedback hun. I hope you are well. Covid is running rampant here in NZ so hibernating so it doesn’t affect my treatment. Starting to get into the schools so fingers crossed I can keep away from it xxx

      @@angelastuartbeauty Hi Ange sorry to hear you are now having more issues with Covid there. Here in Scotland it's not too bad right now - we're back to as much normality as we've had since it all started. We still have to wear masks on all public transport and in all indoor public places eg shops, venues etc, but everything is open again and people are out and about. The majority of people are vaccinated and the numbers needing hospitalisation are reduced. It's the best it's been since the start, but we had several lockdowns over the last few years at it's height.
      It's not being a baby to feel uncomfortable and not quite yourself. I think the hair loss is a really important part of this process, as it's the most visible part to strangers. It identifies you in many ways to others as being ill. We want the privacy of looking "normal", even when things are far from feeling/being normal for us. There is a reason a "bad hair day" has always been a thing and a reason for insecurity for the vast majority of us. Be kind to yourself, as there will be a lot of highs and lows through this journey. Sending a virtual hug across the miles.x

    I find this tiring just watching all the pros and cons, goodness knows
    what you must be going through with all this trial and error, it shouldn't be this hard to get a good fit :-(. Tbh the first wig was my favorite on you, it might have been the colour more than the style, the depth and richness of it was Gorg, imo the lighter wigs with streaks and highlights were very dated. My favorite cap on you was the second one from Denmark, I loved the old Hollywood style of it and the little bit of something something added to take the plainness of it with that little flower, it looked the classiest imo and the fit looks perfect, I loved it so much I want one too, but tbh you look fine without all of this, all the best finding the right wig , I would have given up after all this. xxx

      @angelastuartbeauty  2 года назад +1

      Thank you Angela, it is really helpful hearing what others liked. I think it is the colour of the darker wig too which is why I keep picking it up and trying it on all the time but I just don't like the style. I will try one more time to try and secure a nice wig when there are sales.

      Such good news. My head is such a funny shape😳😳 my ears look all wonky when wearing a mask as I gave to go around the ear tabs!!!!

  • @1556cm
    @1556cm 2 года назад +1

    I think the 1st wig looks great on you just the way it is! But of course that doesn't matter as much as what you are comfortable with. I like all the others too. The light color of the frilly one is a nice option although I agree with you about the style.
    Consider pinning some lovely false flower pins on the caps to add a pop of color.
    What about trying to find a scarf that is maybe 2" wide or you can fold to that width and tie over your wigs? Sort of headband style. That might help them look less full and keep them in place better. Then you could cut the ear tabs off, and be able to put masks and glasses on more easily while the scarf keeps the wig in place.
    I've also seen a little elastic cord online with hooks at each end, so you hook the earpieces of your mask to instead of around your ears. The cord goes around the back of your head and you could hide it under some of the hair. Then instead of removing the mask, pull it down under your chin when you don't need it over your face.
    I bought a couple of wigs years go from Merle Norman which I understand is no longer in New Zealand. So I was able to try them on. My head is very narrow but long front to back so I understand about wigs not fitting the way they do for the majority of women. And I haven't worn them during covid so I haven't had to try to deal with masks.
    Because I was wearing the wigs over my hair, I purchased a little knit net cap to tuck my hair under. I wonder if something like that might be more comfortable on your head and perhaps give the wigs more stability. Basically like pantyhose, so not bulky. Maybe try cutting off a pair to test! Then you can use bobbypins to fasten the wig to the cap for more stability.
    Thanks for keeping us in the loop and sharing the journey! Much love and prayers to you from California!

      @angelastuartbeauty  2 года назад

      Oh my gosh, these are all such good tips, thank you! I have a little pantyhose type cap I haven't tried yet, it was sent with one of the wigs so I will give that a go. Chiquel have just listed another 25% off for the weekend so I am going to try another wig. Thanks again xxxx

    Hi Ange, a great video and I didn’t know it was so complicated and frustrating to find a wig! The videos I have seen make it look easy. I think your first wig looks good and so do all the material headwear ones, but I’m not sure about the pale one with a frill either 😐. There is a lady who has a You Tube channel calls Tazs wig closet and she does explain things really well but she has been wearing them for years. Wow Ang I have to say firstly that you look beautiful with no hair! I actually like all 3 wigs and I think your hairdresser did a great job on the first one. The head coverings all suited you so well and the one you were unsure of with the bit of frill on it, I thought was gorgeous. This is obviously a tough journey and following you has made me more aware of what women go through when losing their hair. Thankfully though, you will have your own hair back one day. Maybe it will come back thicker! I have read a few woman saying their hair has grown back much curlier but I think it’s only curly maybe when it’s short and as it grows longer the curl drops. Anyway I think you have a great choice of wigs and head covers, you have good taste. Take care, will see you in your next video. xx

    That is a wonderful idea for the long wig. I agree with you. The first wig is very mice wnd very pretty. With some wisping around the forehead it would be perfect. You know I was looking at your own hair in previous videos and it reminded me of that first wig. The fullness around the lower jaws is great when the hair flips out in a circular fashion, It is in style here and is flattering. I know you said you don't feel right but don't you think its cause your out of your comfort zone and its statement is a change for you. I don't feel as you but I like that hairstyle but I am not you. I would have her wisp,it up where it is a it heavy but try it with the upcurl. She can make that more of a feature. Just some thoughts. I have been cutting my hair since I was 5. Still do along with everybody else. It got so I did not have control of my time so cut back. Strangers would stop me and asked where did you get it done. I say all this because I have some basis for my opinions. No matter what, you have that beautiful face to work with and extensive knowledge of makeup. Take care and feel good.

    I think you look great and I am looking forward to your eyeshadow tutorial because your makeup is amazing! I’ve found that paying more for a human hair piece has been better than synthetic options that always look too puffy on me plus it’s more realistic when I’ve had a piece cut and colored. Also the life span is longer than synthetic so I feel like it has been a good investment so far. You might check out Lusta toppers and wigs based in Australia because I had a good experience and they do free consults online and can help you measure for sizing. Hope that helps 😀

      I agree, I am moving on the longer wig to someone who may need it (I will donate to the cancer society here in NZ) I have been able to find a couple of low density wigs with not so heavy hair so hopefully they will work out xx

    I hope the vaccine doesn’t deplete your immune system. There are lots of concerns about that.

    You actually can remove the eartabs by cutting them. Check some yt videos on how to. For the shine use some regular dry shampoo to dull it down. Henry Margu is notoriously shiny. For permatease I usual drag my fingers from the root downwards flattening the fibers. For the permatease visible at the crown, rub your hands together to generate heat and press them on the crown holding for a few seconds.
    I think we are already connected on IG kim_stam if you want to connect there x
